Just been catching up with all your news and victories- well done everyone!

Take care @PearlTeapot Enjoy your new PJs xxx

On the subject of baths, I had a NSV this weekend. For the last 5 years I’ve had to get out by switching round onto my hands and knees. This time I thought I’d just test the push up from sitting technique to see how it went, and whoosh before I knew it I was standing up, shocked and very surprised 😳 . I guess it’s tied to my scale victory of 5 stone gone - woohoo!!!

I've been living in my new pjs in hospital. Got 3 new pairs of Chelsea Peers since they're all I wear. Size 18s! From 24s. My old ones were literally hanging off me.

Well done on the five stone loss and the four stone loss @TragicMuse and @FourSeasonsTotalLandscaping celebrate today!!

Love Chelsea Peers, so far I've only afforded socks but the pyjamas are delicious 😋 how you doing?

SilenceInside · 22/10/2025 14:46

@RonMJ congratulations on getting to the 5st off mark, that’s fantastic! As is the bath NSV.

Autumnflowers2 · 22/10/2025 17:41

Two pounds of this week, that's 9 stone 3 pounds loss to date .
But I'm struggling with the darker mornings, can't get up ,and struggling with darker evenings, need to sleep as soon as it gets dark ..
Have to get my sunshine lamp out I think ..this time of year is always difficult..in the past ,lots of carbs would of got me through..
I don't think I'd quite started on monjroro a year ago ...I think it was the second to last week in November..I can't really remember..
But I'm already wanting to get my PJ's on and head to bed and it's not yet 6 pm .

mamabeeboo · 22/10/2025 17:43

One pound off the 6 stone mark!!!! Come on!!! 🙏🙏

After dress sizes staying the same for the first 4 stone loss, now I'm experiencing the whoosh.

I've suddenly overnight (genuinely overnight) gotten too big for my size 20s and the 18s that I was squeezing into are now feeling comfortable.

OvertiredandConfused · 22/10/2025 18:09

6st gone!

So, so happy. It’s taken just under 9 months.

Between 3st and 4st to go now, depending on progress and how I feel.

I was exactly the same! Although I am still a size 18, I can now comfortably wear a couple of size 16 dresses. I hit the 6st loss today.

Fingers crossed that next lb comes off quickly

Lds1 · 22/10/2025 20:28

Weigh day tomorrow just hoping that kg that went on has gone, think tomorrow I'll eat lunch and dinner again. Omad has been easier than I thought so I'll probably do it again next week.

Got a few new Christmas clothes and new pyjamas mine are all too big now. This time last year I bought XL pyjamas this year I'm buying medium. Also using a normal size towel instead of the massive one I got from Dunelm.

Reginaphalangeeeee · 22/10/2025 22:13

Just joining back, didn’t realise this new chat so far along, I was on the old one still 🙄. It’s full now.
just catching up.

Reginaphalangeeeee · 22/10/2025 22:55

Gosh this is embarrassing but hope someone here with similar body issues may understand or be able to offer advice?

I have been especially MJ cold. At night wearing warmer PJ’s, unlike pre-MJ, now wearing more synthetic warm fleecy type rather than natural. I don’t feel I have got hot or sweaty but.. below my tummy/into bikini line my skin is a bit sore. I have had this before (apron like tummy, although smaller it maybe hangs a bit more now). I assume when a little damp, especially with pants and trouser puller up and over to upper tummy/waist to hide the B bump. I think my lower tummy gets squashed onto bikini line. This I treat with suds cream and gentle washing ensuring dry pat, careful underwear placement with a tummy lift. I also had to use Canistan once to help clear it.

however, today…. I noticed a soreness inside my belly button. Now since 5.5 stone weight loss my B upper belly hangs over and belly button no longer visable. It’s a line now like a unimpressed mouth 🙄
Investigating it it is swollen (or maybe smaller inside), red and a bit weepy. Could this be the same as bikini line. Surreal/Canistan or just leave it.
i admit I don’t think I clean or specifically dry my belly button-do you? Is this soreness anything anyone else had or can advice, not sure if this is something I will just live with now my upper tummy deflated and hanging a bit?

any advice welcome.
embarrassed by my skin irritation caused by my bellies.

TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne · 23/10/2025 00:24

@Reginaphalangeeeee I'd use Daktarin cream in that. It sounds fungal.

Thank you for the new thread and well done to everyone xx So I moved up to the next level on saxenda 3 days ago and am having a terrible time with disgusting sulphur burps and flatulence as well as pain in my right side which im assuming is an unhappy gallbladder ? It's a bit of a shock especially after experiencing hardly any side effects until now . Has anyone any tips for the burps they are absolutely horrendous.
Also feeling very tired and cold I wonder is that also a common thing ? Feel a bit down as ive felt a little bit of the food noise return over the last few days too and im worried that I might end up being one of the unlucky people that glps just dont work for. Sorry to be so negative on such a positive thread

I had this a bit at my biggest, was lack of air getting to the area .washing twice a day with soap and water dried it out ..pat dry or hairdryer dry .
If red and sore ,I used a thrush cream ..you can get a pack of three thrush cream on Amazon for about a fiver ..clotrimazole 1 % cream by care+...that worked for me , cheaper than canestan cream ..but not technically for that area ...

GnomeDePlume · 23/10/2025 06:35

Weigh in and jab day.

SW 137kg BMI 53.5
CW 99kg BMI 38.7
GW 63kg BMI 24.6

15 stone 8lbs in old money. Near as dammit that's 6 stone lost and under 100kg for the first time since I lost weight on Lighter Life. I cant say that I feel amazing at the moment as I am full of cold! One thing I can say is that I am now nearer to the end than the beginning.

Still a long way to go. I am deeply envious of those people who look amazing at my weight. I assume they are taller and carry their weight differently. I am short and carry my weight on my middle, no waist, hips or bust.

GnomeDePlume · 23/10/2025 06:48

@Reginaphalangeeeee to add to the good advice above, I was prone to these types of rashes especially when my blood sugar was higher (I'm diabetic). Getting my blood sugar under control has helped hugely.

I treated the rashes, under belly and under breasts were my problem areas, with tea tree cream. I found this very soothing.

Reginaphalangeeeee · 23/10/2025 07:40

Thank you @GnomeDePlume and congratulations on your weight loss. I am very close to to you with a SW 136kg and now 101kg but losses are frustratingly slow now. Desperate to get under 100kg soon. BMI (34) is a bit lower than you so I must just be taller.
I don’t think I look good right now but definitely better than I did! Blood sugars not a problem for me as been tested several times and was on SheMed program. I do think maybe hormonal factors at play-peri! I am over a week late for my period now and feel very PMTy which never relieves until period arrives.

I haven’t had issues like this for a long time and I was much bigger then and I think spring/summer months last year. Also got it when I wore socks to bed once so avoid that now.

The canistan is a generic anti fungal cream for feet, groin etc so assume same as other anti fungal?

The thing that is weird though is a belly button rash. Anyone had this before?

GnomeDePlume · 23/10/2025 07:54

@Reginaphalangeeeee it is possible that you are getting the rash in different places because your body shape is changing. Anywhere which is closed off is at risk.

Any anti-fungal which is formulated for skin should be pretty similar and at worse do no harm.

WafflingDreamer · 23/10/2025 08:15

Weigh in number 54
SW 21st 9lb (BMI 44.7)

0lb down this week
Losses so far; 4, 1, 5, 1, 3, 4, 2, 2, 2, 4, 1, +3, 5, 1, 3, 2, 4, 3, 1, 1, 3, 1, 1, 3, 3, 1, 1, 0, 2, 3, 1, 2, 2, 0, 1, 3, 1, 1, 2, 3, 1, 3, 1, 0, 1, 1, 2, 2, 0, 1, 1, 1, 0, 0
Total loss 94lbs / 6st 10lb

Well I lost the 7lb I managed to gain over a weekend but I haven't actually lost anything. I feel like I'm stuck I've lost 3lb in the last 6 weeks. I'd accept it if I was really close to my target but other people are starting mounjaro at this weight and having brilliant losses! I'm going to be really strict about weighing everything this week as I wonder if I'm taking some extra snacks or something without even registering it.

PearlTeapot · 23/10/2025 08:19

When I was at my biggest I’d get a sore belly button occasionally. I’d wash it twice a day with gentle soap and water, pat dry then talc powder. Would be fine within a day.

Iwouldratherbesinging · 23/10/2025 08:43

@Reginaphalangeeeee you’ve been given excellent advice here but I just wanted to add that medicated talc is brilliant, I also shower with only hibiscrub, I can’t use anything else as my skin gets all sorts of infections. I’m too scared to stop using it now!

Iwouldratherbesinging · 23/10/2025 08:53

I’m in awe of all the amazing losses and achievements I’ve just caught up on, you are all bloody amazing!

@WafflingDreamer I totally understand your frustration, I don’t have any answers. That extra 7lb on was so odd though! But there must have been a huge relief when it came off… what dose are you currently on? You are doing amazingly though.

I’m back on the constipation wagon, been taking senna and Movicol daily for the last four days, it’ll all start working soon it just seems that my body absorbs it so slowly and it’s hard to figure out when to stop otherwise I’ll have the opposite issue.

GnomeDePlume · 23/10/2025 09:52

@WafflingDreamer I understand the frustration. I think having a reset and going back to checking portion sizes is a good idea. It is easy to think 'that's fine' and not notice that portion sizes have gone up slightly. God knows, I am often guilty of this.

WafflingDreamer · 23/10/2025 10:13

Yeah Im dreadful for thinking I'll rob a few chips from the kids and then grab dinner on top!

I'm bloody freezing again, I forgot how cold I was last winter on MJ. I need to get myself a decent winter coat as my girls play football and I'm not going to freeze on the sidelines!

So am I.
I need to get back into not buying things which will tempt me.
So no Flake ice creams.
