That’s a huge change in those photos @ConfusedMiddleAger83! Brilliant 🥳

@Onenotsosmallstep I do a sort of 24hr fast twice a week, as in I have my last meal on a Sunday around 6pm, then on the Monday I’ll have my next meal around 6pm. It’s not a true fast though as I will have a coffee with a teaspoon of coffee whitener in the morning, then I do the same on a Wednesday through to Thursday. For some reason the Mondays are easy, Thursdays not so easy! But I always feel good on fast days. I don’t think I could do 36 hours.

Ketra · 19/11/2025 14:56

My NSV for the day - just cut my toenails without needing to contort into different positions and essentially cut without being able to see what I was doing! I still don't see the weight loss in the mirror and in my clothes, but just moving my body is so much easier!

Also, agree on the bony bum issue - I still have at least 6 stone to lose but my bum hurts so much. I have a super duper padded office chair, a cushion, a memory foam support cushion, and two towels folded under me, but still get numb bum syndrome all the time. I might need to move to a convertible sit/stand desk sooner than I had planned!

diggitydoo · 19/11/2025 17:28

Ok so my first week and I’ve lost 3lbs! Next jab tomorrow!

feel abiT healthier mentally today and more hopeful x

TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne · 19/11/2025 17:37

I've also managed to cut my toenails easily this week.
Looks like I can cancel the chiropodist.
🤣

@Onenotsosmallstep i think fasting and intermittent fasting works so well hand in hand with mounjaro.
Google Jason Fung, he's a doctor who has countless videos on the benefits of fasting, what happens to the body and why the calories in, calories out model is only half the story (which is why you have so many people who are within their deficit but still don't lose).
I've managed omad regularly on mj and managed a 24 hour fast here and there, but I do find it hard.
The good news is that whenever I have done fasting, I've lost something silly like 5lbs in a week 👀

52soon · 19/11/2025 17:55

Another 1lb off this week now 15st 6lbs, had a few NSV’s this week, I can really see a difference in my clothes and have started wearing 20’s comfortably instead of my baggy 24’s also bought a jumper dress in a size 18 and it fits even a little big on top. 5lb more to go and I’ll be on the bmi chart 39.9, being a shorty plays havoc with BMI I need to be stretched 😂

SilenceInside · 19/11/2025 18:12

@diggitydoo congratulations on your first week, and a 3lb loss. Onwards and downwards!

@52soon congratulations to you to on the 1lb loss and the new dress sizes. Getting on the BMI chart is a great milestone to be close to, too. I am sure it will come around in no time.

TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne · 19/11/2025 18:14

Well done @diggitydoo!

I’m not sure if this is classed as an nsv or not… just had a warm shower after getting soaked on the dog walk and noticed a mole just inside my belly button, I’d forgotten all about it, I think the last time I saw it I was a teenager 😂

I've literally just done this myself and thought oooh, that was easy. For the first time in about 30 years! It's the glamorous moments like this that make it worth it!

Weigh in and jab day.

SW 137kg BMI 53.5
CW 95kg BMI 37.1
GW 63kg BMI 24.6

15 stone in old money. No change on last week. But I was owed a bit of a stall as I have had several reasonable losses in a row.

I am so glad to be on mounjaro as we head towards the calorie fest that is the Christmas season. I know that in non mounjaro years we would already be starting to relax any control. Come December the brakes would be off completely. January would also be looming in my mind with the knowledge that all the excess would have to be paid for like a huge credit card bill.

This time last year I had only just started on mounjaro. The effects were just starting but nothing major. A little bit of weightloss but not a lot and the knowledge that I had an awful long way to go. Now I am half way there!

Iwouldratherbesinging · 20/11/2025 11:16

I bet you were glad to see that 2lb off @WafflingDreamer!
@GnomeDePlume i know exactly what you mean about last Christmas, I was 2 months in and not looking forward to the temptation but I lost, never happened before! I’m usually in full on mince pie testing by now, haven’t even thought about a mince pie (until now that is!), oh how we’ve changed.

PearlTeapot · 20/11/2025 11:43

@WafflingDreamer so close! Keep going, seeing that 199 on the scale will feel amazing!

I am genuinely so excited about NOT stuffing myself silly over christmas. I do it every year, and feel fatter and more miserable than ever in January and full of regret. I'm happy that this year that won't happen!

Especially as I'm 40 in Jan, so it'll be so nice to go into my 40s feeling in control of myself. Cheers mounjaro.

GnomeDePlume · 20/11/2025 12:21

@Iwouldratherbesinging I know what you mean! DH is an excellent cook and we would have been trying out various recipes as extra side dishes. The memory of the year we were trying out roast, stuffed butternut squash recipes is still with me. Every meal seemed to be accompanied by a slice of it.

The thing I remember about last Christmas was that I enjoyed it. I ate what I wanted, drank what I wanted. The difference compared to other Christmases was that what I wanted was less. Instead if gaining weight over Christmas, I lost a little weight but with no sense of having to deny myself to do so.

Lds1 · 20/11/2025 12:39

I lost 0.2kg not even a lb this week. hmmph! Fasting helped for a week and then hasn't really helped for 2 weeks. I guess my metabolism is dead.

mamabeeboo · 20/11/2025 12:50

Really want to share my progress now!

SW 144kg size 28
CW 101kg size 18

I was waiting to reach the 100lb loss before posting but I can't wait any longer 😂

I've gotten into a good swing of things, one stone a month on average. I'm grateful that my weight hasn't slowed as I have gone down.

I'm noticing different things about myself - I'm much more vocal than I originally thought. Now my opinion matters and I'm unapologetically myself. The confidence I feel is night and day different.

@Lds1 I'm sorry you're going through a bit of a slump. Talk me through your fasting, what are you eating and when? And what are you having outside of these hours?
There's something going wrong if you're fasting and the weight still isn't coming off, because surely what is the body using to stay alive 😳

TragicMuse · 20/11/2025 12:56

I’ve been SO bunged up for the last few days. Gripey, uncomfortable and just Blurgh. Thankfully resolved now!

I seem to on an unplanned not-quite-fast. Had supper last night, also jabbed last night. And I just cannot be bothered with solid food today. It’s the Jab-and-feeling-gripey combo I think. I’ve had a cuppa, a collagen coffee and a miso soup. And some water. Don’t really want anything else.

So it’s not a fast per se, but it’s not exactly meals either!

Anyway. Christmas. We had a festive lunch at work on Tuesday. It was too much! Last year I scoffed all of it and a pudding. This year a half-portion would have been ideal! And no pudding!! So I’m going into festive times with an open mind and a hugely reduced capacity. Savoury is my Achilles heel - cheese in particular!

But I know I need to work a bit more on the disconnect between ‘I love roast potatoes’ and ‘I can only accommodate one or two at most on my plate and in my stomach’!

52soon · 20/11/2025 12:58

@mamabeeboo Wow! Look at your waist, what a boost seeing the difference in those photos. Congratulations 🎉

GnomeDePlume · 20/11/2025 13:16

@mamabeeboo what an amazing change!

TheZingyFish · 20/11/2025 13:56

Amazing photos @mamabeeboo!You must be so pleased, you look fab!

PearlTeapot · 20/11/2025 16:38

I really feel 2.5 isn't doing much for me anymore- obviously I've had 6 weeks sat in a bedroom not moving and living on sandwiches and snacking, but also the scales have barely moved (down about 3lb I think)?. Unsure whether to slooooowly move upwards (maybe 5 extra clicks- which from my 5mg pens would be about 3mg I think?) or just wait til I go home and get active again and see.

@mamabeeboo amazing difference, you must be thrilled but hearing your confidence is boosted is the best bit. Onwards and downwards!

2.5 is just a loading dose, its not designed to start working immediately. You'll have to move onto the next dose. I've just been moved onto the 7.5mg.

Not true for everyone. I lost 34lbs with first 3 pens on 2.5mg.
