Weigh in and jab day.

SW 137kg BMI 53.5
CW 98kg BMI 38.3
GW 63kg BMI 24.6

15 stone 6 lbs in old money, 6 stone 2 lbs down, 5 stone 7 lbs to go. My goal is to be under 10 stone, a place I havent visited since my early teens.

I am finding the change in my food preferences very strange. I used to enjoy carb dense food like bread and pasta. I no longer like how they make me feel. Possibly it is the slowed digestive transit. I find that these foods 'sit' uncomfortably.

A couple of NSVs this week.

  1. I bought myself some new shoes and didnt need the widest fit. I'm never going to have narrow feet but this means I have a far greater choice than previously.
  2. My dressmakers dummy is now too big. Dress-up Diana is going to go to the auction.
Motnight · 30/10/2025 07:16

@GnomeDePlume wave bye bye to Dress Up Diana!

PearlTeapot · 30/10/2025 07:38

@GnomeDePlume well done on hitting 6 stone (we are twins!) and bye bye to Diana!

My feet have shrunk a bit too, when we were on holiday I had to wear two pairs of socks with my walking shoes that were too tight when I bought them a year ago! I hadn't expected that. A good NSV though as I hate my fat feet.

Some embarrassment recently here where they don't have a blood pressure cuff big enough for my upper arm. I do have exceptionally huge ones as I have lipoedema in them but still, mortifying. They've had to order one. The nurse was very apologetic but I've had to say about 6 times when different people have come to do it no, it doesn't fit. That's a bit upsetting as they won't shrink in size cos of the lipo although they're much saggier and softer rather than rock hard now.

Weigh in number 55
SW 21st 9lb (BMI 44.7)
CW 14st 13lb (BMI 30.6)
GW 12st 9lb (BMI 25.9)

0lb down this week
Losses so far; 4, 1, 5, 1, 3, 4, 2, 2, 2, 4, 1, +3, 5, 1, 3, 2, 4, 3, 1, 1, 3, 1, 1, 3, 3, 1, 1, 0, 2, 3, 1, 2, 2, 0, 1, 3, 1, 1, 2, 3, 1, 3, 1, 0, 1, 1, 2, 2, 0, 1, 1, 1, 0, 0, 0
Total loss 94lbs / 6st 10lb

OK I'm trying really hard not to be sad about it but third week in a row where my weight has stayed the same. I weigh in pounds and I'm so sick of seeing 209lbs on the scale, I even changed the batteries! I'm really nervous as I had my last dose of mounjaro last night and will move over to wegovy next week.

However some happy NSVs
I bought a size 18 mountain warehouse coat from vinted and it fit. It actually even fit over the top of my gilet.
I also bought a size 20 sea salt coat from vinted and its probably too big really but was meant for football so will be good with layers.
I accidentally grabbed my husband's Medium primark T-shirt and it fitted me!

PearlTeapot · 30/10/2025 10:11

That must feel so frustrating @WafflingDreamer so hopefully the wegovy gets things moving again. Are you tracking calories? Massively upping your water etc? Had a massive poo recently? 😁plateaus always get moving again from what I've read on here but must really feel rubbish while in one. Here's for a whoosh next week.

And hurrah for your NSVs 🤗

Lds1 · 30/10/2025 10:24

@WafflingDreamer I've been feeling the same I've been putting weight on and then struggling to lose it then when I did lose it I was stuck at the same weight. It's been a month and today good news finally!

Weigh in today my plateau has been broken, hopefully it will stay that way. This week I've lost 1kg / 2 lb and 3.3 oz.

I was optimistic about reaching my goals before plateauing but now I think I'm gonna have to be more realistic and just hope for the best!

SW: 142.8kg / 22 stone, 6 lb and 13.1 oz
CW: 78kg / 12 stone, 3 lb and 15.4 oz
Total loss: 64.8kg / 10 stone, 2 lb and 13.8 oz
BMI: 50.8 now 27.8
To get healthy: 7.9kg / 1 stone, 3 lb and 6.7 oz
To get to goal: 18kg / 2 stone, 11 lb and 10.9 oz

Morning fellow losers. I'm finally feeling human again after 3 weeks of covid crappiness. The whole family had it at the same time, so that was fun! Reading some of the recent posts, it seems lots of us have been struck down with similar, I hope you're all soon on the mend.

I've really missed my long walks I was doing every night, and feel quite sluggish from the lack of exercise. Now the nights are drawing in, I'm thinking of getting a walking pad to use over the winter. Does anyone have one? Are they worth it, or is it just another fad that will probably end up gathering dust?

I'm sure I've missed loads of lovely losers news , so as it's my day off today, I'm going to sit down with a coffee and have a guilt free couple of hours catching up. I can't wait to read all the latest losses & nsv's 😊

@PearlTeapot how are you doing, lovely? I've been thinking of you, and hope you're ok x

PearlTeapot · 30/10/2025 10:45

Thank you @Billybingbong, I'm ok, feeling much more clear headed today and yesterday so the new meds are kicking in finally. It's been a long couple of weeks but I'm being well cared for, obviously I don't want to be here but the staff are amazing so I know how lucky I am.

Glad you're shaking off the covid, so many people I know have been totally wiped out by it lately.

I have a walking pad! I don't love it but I do use it when I can't face going outside (if it's raining for example). I get bored on it (same as I do at the gym) but I do recommend it. I picked a series that I ONLY watch when I'm on it or a bike at the gym and that motivates me. For me it's Gilmore Girls, I've just checked and I've watched 29 episodes so far so that makes me feel good as it means I've exercised 29 x 30 mins in the recent months! Mine folds flat so can go under the tv unit but I leave it out even though it's cumbersome otherwise I am too lazy to get it out.

NSV, just clipped my toenails standing over the toilet and it was easy. I won't ever take for granted how hard things like that used to be (sat on the bed cross legged pulling my foot in)

52soon · 30/10/2025 10:49

After 3 weeks of no movement on scales, they’ve moved🎉 2lb down this week to 15st 9 and under 100kg. Feeling positive again

Monsterjam · 30/10/2025 10:58

@FatsiaJaponicaInTheGarden I have another yr on NHS treatment or until I get into a healthy BMI which is target weight. I only have 6 month check ins with them now so we will see what happens and whether I get another whole year.

TragicMuse · 30/10/2025 13:21

I’m feeling low. Heading into the weekend I’d lost half a pound and was hoping for a bit more. By Wednesday WI that had gone to a quarter pound loss. Today it’s a gain. 🙄

I track EVERYTHING. Every gram and ml! I drink enough water. I had a senokot to keep moving. FFS!

And I know it’s not linear but I work so hard at this and not getting the reward just feels so unfair!

I get how you feel, it's one thing knowing that it's not linear etc, but it's still really frustrating when you hit those plateaus. Fingers crossed it is just a blip (hormones maybe?) and things get moving soon.

PearlTeapot · 30/10/2025 14:52

Wow Bupa prices are high!

I'm gonna have to suck it up and buy a 2.5 pen to use here, as they won't let me use current pen after 2 more goes (annoying, it's a 5 so I'll be throwing half away) and it has to be a 2.5. I explained I was taking 2.5 from 5 and why to the ward doctor, she understood but said she wouldn't allow going over the 30 days.

I will get it from pharmacy express who I usually use, they're £145 so very cheap anyway. Just a bit frustrating to throw away over half a pen, and I have a 7.5 sat in the fridge at home too. Oh well.

I'm thinking of a walking pad as well ..
But I think I need a handle to hold .
I've only looked on Amazon and nothing is inspiring me
Where are you looking ?

PearlTeapot · 30/10/2025 15:25

My sister in law kindly gave me mine so I don't know where she got it from. It has a handle but I don't use it, other than to prop my phone on it to watch Gilmore Girls 😄

I'm just a bit worried I will fall of it without something to hold on to

To be honest, ive just been looking on Marketplace. I figured if I bought a cheap second hand one, it wont be too much of a waste if I lose interest and it just becomes a dust gatherer. Although,if anyone can recommend a reasonably priced one, I might add it to my Christmas list instead.

RenegadeKeeblerElf · 30/10/2025 17:07

Can I get some advice from some more experienced people? I spent 14 weeks on 2.5mg and have now gone up to 3.75mg for two weeks. I will do at least two more weeks on 3.75mg but I'm looking ahead to what to do after that. This week I found the combination of suppression and side effects to be just right for the first three days after jabbing, but for days 4 and 5 the food noise has definitely come back. That makes me think that I need to go up to 5mg after this 4 weeks but I am worried that the effects on days 1-3 will then be too strong. Any thoughts?

TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne · 30/10/2025 17:49

I'd go up to 5mg.

Also, I often jab every five days, when the suppression wears off.

OP posts:
mamabeeboo · 30/10/2025 18:12

@RenegadeKeeblerElf it's a tough one. I felt the same on the lower doses and felt it wasn't working as well as how others describe. Now on 12.5mg I have zero food noise for at least 5 days, sometimes 6. I jab every 6 days. So it might just be the case that you're on a lower dose.
