I made some cheese bread yesterday and really enjoyed a slice this morning for breakfast - at 12 noon as I find eating just two meals a day with one snack mid afternoon suits me best. It was delicious and only 110 cals per slice plus the butter - I can’t work out very small amount of things like butter so just round up all my calories to even things out over the day! It was similar to a cheese scone as it only had 2 tablespoons of butter in as it used a cup of milk to bind the dry ingredients. The slice was very thick, maybe 2 inches as the serving is 1/8 of the loaf.

It made a nice change from my usual banana and satisfied my love of baking. I think I’ll freeze the rest of the loaf in slices to have in the next few weeks.

Kazzaa46 · 08/10/2025 15:42

@Ihateslugs sounds delicious. I love cheese scones so that sounds right up my street.

I woke up this morning feeling sick and burping. Week 4 and first time I have experienced nausea. Realised I’d forgotten to take omeprazole for two days which may be why. I had planned a 20 min HIIT workout before work which I did anyway wondering if it would make me sicker but strangely it completely cured my nausea so must’ve moved things along in my tummy. Took an omeprazole after too just in case, I honestly believe it has been the reason I’ve not got nausea on my journey judging by it coming after I forgot to take it.

I start 5mg this weekend and I’m toying with the idea of taking 4mg instead to make it stretch out to 5 weeks. Judging by how taking 2.5mg 2 days early gave me suppression back, I’m thinking 4mg may be adequate. I just hope the pen lets me do 5 doses as my medical anxiety makes me hate the thought of using a syringe 😆

I think I've messed up my dose delivery. I'm on Wygovy - got a slightly different pen this time from the first one. I turned it too many clicks (only second month; I'm not totally au fait with how these work yet). Then I dialled it back to 0.25. But the suppression since Monday is something fierce, and I'm now worried I've taken too much (and will have none left at the end of the month).

Is it possible to do this? Has anyone else ever done it? I've messaged my coach at my online supplier; hopefully they will come back with something, but wanted to ask others here in the meantime as there are so many knowledgeable people here.

I had my flu jab yesterday, then went for my first meal out since starting MJ and had a PT session before work this morning so I'm shattered, especially as DH went a bit too hard on the wine and kept me awake all night with his snoring.

I had been a bit nervous about the meal out but it was fine. The guy sitting next to me was also on WLI so he ordered a starter sized portion for his main course, while I got a normal sized meal but decanted half of it into tupperware for today's lunch.

Don’t talk to me about husbands snoring 😩 I went out for dinner with friends last week and had a sandwich which came with salad and coleslaw, I could only eat half my sandwich so brought the other half home with me for the next day as it was such a lovely sandwich Brie and cranberry delicious.

I thought if you were only prescribed 0.25 that’s all the pen would go up to? Sorry not much help x

Well, suddenly after a stall of four weeks, I’ve lost 4lbs. That makes it a stone. Hurray!
SW 17.13
CW 16.13

Good to see the 16 on the scale again.

That’s brilliant x

@Elliebearblues I think it was about day 3 that I started to feel it, then quite strongly for the rest of the week. It builds up in your system too so each jab you will have slightly more in your body even at the same dose.

Thanks I’m starting to feel it slowly I had a protein vanilla coffee this morning and a sandwich for dinner and I’m still not hungry yet, thanks for explaining that makes total sense about it building up to suppress your appetite more x

Thanks for replying - sorted this with my pharmacist. It was user error on my part and I feel extremely silly. I hadn't used any doses out of my new pen! Nor can I say with 100% certainty that I took the first month's doses correctly, now that I look back. It therefore appears that I've managed to lose 12 lbs on nothing like the dose I should have been getting, if it all. No wonder I haven't been experiencing any side effects!

I might now reconsider how I progress on this journey, but I do think I'll now properly commence the 2.5 and see how it goes. I have 2 more stone to come off and from this point it gets slower. Bracing for side effects - also very grateful that I didn't increase to 5mg this month or once I'd figured out my user error boy would my system have got a shock!

No one would ever guess that I had a PhD. What a weapons-grade eejit I am! (Suitably redfaced). 🙃😊

Shwighty1 · 08/10/2025 19:14

Is anyone going longer than a week between Jabs? I’m thinking of stretching out 1day each time to add time on but also to shift my jab day to the Friday (currently Wednesdays)

outofofficeagain · 08/10/2025 19:14

I’m planning to this week to sync with my holiday and move my jab day from Monday to Wednesday

At a bit of a plateau for the past week. I think it's due to constipation so I've been trying to eat more fibre. Already walking and swimming lots and drinking plenty of water. I know I'm in a decent deficit but getting bored of it not showing on the scales!!

One of my online friends does hers every 10-12 days when she feels the suppression easing she’s been on it for about a year now and lost 3 stone x

I’ve had constipation after my last two jabs, a bit of a change from the diarrhoea I had after the first two! I managed to clear the constipation by eating a small bag of popcorn, a kiwi fruit, an apple with skin on, granola topping on Greek yogurt and 4 prunes each day - might have gone too far this week though! These are all low calorie foods which have lots of fibre and roughage except for the granola although it was sugar free so I kept within my calorie limits.

outofofficeagain · 09/10/2025 08:27

Also struggling with constipation this week. Had a dulcolax last night, made no difference. I’m going to get some more prunes. We have lentils for dinner.

Hoping if I can sort this before Monday it will be a good weightloss week!

Is anyone going longer than a week between Jabs? I’m thinking of stretching out 1day each time to add time on but also to shift my jab day to the Friday (currently Wednesdays)

I have as I was doing Wednesdays, but one week was at work early and busy so didn’t do it until Thursday, then the next I felt unwell on the Thursday so did it on Friday. I wasn’t losing much suppression so I didn’t feel the need to rush it. I’m sticking to Fridays now anyway as it stops me over eating on the weekend!

so I started on 10th September and I weighed today, I’ve lost just over a stone! These are my sporadic weigh ins from my notes app (I had a very bloated period in the middle)

10/09- 16s 4lb
12/09- 15s 13lb
16/09- 15s 12lb
25/09- 15s 8lb
02/10 15s 6lb
09/10 15s 3lb

I have loads more energy, my face has changed quite a bit, clothes are fitting better. Not a huge difference obviously to arms and stomach etc but I feel very very motivated that this will work. At the moment 2.5 is still working in that I can eat a reasonable plate of food but I don’t feel I need to very much so can have a tiny lunch and a proper dinner. I felt sick and could only eat mouthfuls at the first doses so I’m not planning to move up as yet. I have a few dresses in my wardrobe I really want to fit into by Christmas and it feels possible!

Atalosswhat2do · 09/10/2025 10:58

Weigh in day for me.

SW: 12st 3lb
CW: 11st 6lb

Week 1: -6lb
Week 2: -2lb
Week 3: -1lb
Week 4: -2lb

Total Loss: 11lb

After 4 weeks I am delighted with the losses and the abundance of Non Scale Victories I have had to keep me going.

In 4 weeks I have went from struggling to complete 4000 steps per day, to smashing 10,000 steps every day. No exercise/active minutes recorded to over 250mins per week. My resting heart rate has reduced, my sleep has improved, my mood has improved, my eating has improved, I’ve gone from 1 meal per day and then eating junk the rest of the time to having at least 2 meals and healthy snacks. The goal for the next 4 weeks is to aim for 3 meals per day.

I did also calculate the ‘cost’ of my daily junk food intake, which worked out at £37 per week, so as it stands my MJ cost is covered. I am continuing on with 2.5mg as I have great suppression 6 days per week.

Good luck to those weighing and jabbing over the next couple of days! 🤞🏻

Great losses @Bugling and @Atalosswhat2do

It’s jab day for me but I’m still feeling a bit queasy. I’d like to keep jab day as Thursday though as it suits me to have good suppression over the weekend. I’ll see how I feel later. I’m getting quite a lot of eggy burping too which is horrid.

maz99 · 09/10/2025 11:06

Hi all...

Congrats to everyone on their weight loss & other successes!

Re: constipation
I've not had any since starting, but as soon as I started the jabs I started having greek yoghurt for breakfast with 2-3 teaspoons of chia seeds. I've been going pretty much every day.

So... today is jab day... 7th jab abd 6 weeks completed.

It seems 3.75mg is definitely working for me, as I've had quite high suppression throughout the week. Definitely stronger this week than the previous one, I think because I took 2.5mg from a 5mg pen & 1.25 from a 2.5mg, instead of 3.75mg from two 2.5mg pens. I had to force myself to eat a on multiple occasion this week.

I am thinking of buying a 7.5mg pen next (in 4-5 weeks) so I can fully click dose 3.75mg and to reduce the cost, because it's an odd number from a 5mg pen.
But... I'm starting to think that what a lot of people are saying is true, that 2.5mg from a 5mg or 7.5mg pen is not the same as from a 2.5mg pen - that it's stronger. So, I need to decide if I want to be dosing myself with 7.5mg strength?

Start weight: 121.4kg / 267.6lbs
Current weight: 115.4kg / 254.4lbs
Total loss: 6kg / 13.2lbs in 6 weeks
Goal weight: 78kg (might change)

2.5mg dose
Week 1 - 120.7kg: - 0.7kg / 1.5lbs
Week 2 - 119.4kg : -1.3kg / 2.9lbs
Week 3 - 118.2kg: -1.2kg / 2.6lbs
Week 4 - 117.8kg: -0.8kg / 1.8lbs

3.75mg
Week 5 - 116.7kg: -1.1kg / 2.4lbs
Week 6 - 115.4kg: -1.3kg / 2.9lbs

I am the same with walking, as someone who lives in a city we walk everywhere, school runs and weekends and I walk to work. Me and my husband also love to go for long countryside walks. This last year I’ve struggled more and more to walk as far and also have pains in my ankles etc when I do. It was a major motivation for me to lose weight. And I also think my Mounjaro is covered because of the reduction in takeaways!

outofofficeagain · 09/10/2025 12:37

I had some prunes this morning and popcorn. They didn’t have small bags so I’ve somehow managed to eat half a large bag over the course of the morning as I was absentmindedly picking at it on my desk.

I do not recommend this.

However I do now fully expect to be hals a stone lighter! This is my 4th visit to the loo 😳

Those are amazing savings on the snacks/food out!!! I’ve just used monj to find the next place to get my next dose from, it’s a really useful website. I’m sticking to 2.5mg for a further month, going to see how I get on later with regard to going up. Also going to move my day to Fridays, was obviously far too excited to get going so ignored thinking about the right day. So far I’m down half a stone having only started on the 23rd
