Happy Thursday losers! Weigh in day today and whilst the whoosh eluded me, still a good loss. I’d weighed in at 11.2 earlier in the week but hey ho.

4lb loss is incredible 💪 @BreezyPeer Had a sneaky WI today and I'm at the bottom of my 2lb range. I can't work out if 2lb is a big enough range, or if it works because it's so small - it's never insurmountable. Will be watching with interest how others manage...

HeidiLite · 06/11/2025 08:31

morning losers and lovely to see all the wins!

2025istheyeari · 06/11/2025 08:40

Morning everyone, quick one from me as another day, another interview 🫣🤣.

amazing to see everyone’s losses and NSVs, this year really has been life changing for us all!!

Hope @jinsand @HeidiLiteare feeling a bit better.
sorry to hear you’re having a challenging week @Polkadotdash, hopefully side effects will bugger off soon as will the weight. Didn’t meaty say it took a while for hers to kick in? ( sorry if I’ve mixed up people!)

@DGonMJooh v glam, enjoy wearing the coat!!

I’ve got v high suppression this week for the first time in ages, so odd as I’ve moved down to 7.5, but not complaining. I’m really focussing on not snacking and limited if any sugar and I’ve weighed in at the lowest ever- 10 stone 7 1/2!! So I’m going to carry on doing what I’m doing and see how things go over next couple of weeks.

have a great day all

Jins · 06/11/2025 11:04

Morning all.

I can feel the MJ levels dropping now so I’m going to be relying on will power today. Didn’t do too well last night as DS2 gave me a handful of jellybeans. There’s my admission for accountability.

My weight has sneaked up a little which isn’t a surprise as the lowest weight I recorded this week was the day after I’d hardly eaten and had virtually emptied myself in other areas. 😳. It does seem as if the two pounds is off though so fingers crossed for official weigh in tomorrow. I’m treating myself to another 6.6mg dose tomorrow as the feeling of not caring about food was so wonderful but after that I’ll taper back down again.

Sunny here today and I’m desperate to test my outdoor oodie in some properly cold weather.

myladyjane · 06/11/2025 12:50

Lunchtime check in - weigh in day today which I was very nervous about due to birthdays. 2lb down so not too bad and within 10lbs of goal - I think a couple of days of heavier calories did me a bit of good tbh.

2025istheyeari · 06/11/2025 13:42

Well done @myladyjanethats amazing!

@Jins and @Thelittlestrangerwell done on the accountability posts, think about how much worse it prob would have been pre MJ. I can’t have jelly bellies in the house Jins, they are my absolute favourite!

BreezyPeer · 07/11/2025 07:37

Morning 🌄 losers!
I hope everyone has a good friday.
I have had another low, starting with a 10!!! 10 12.5
I am having a stressful time with dating and work so 🙃 it's not the best loss but I'm taking the positive from it!!

HeidiLite · 07/11/2025 07:41

@BreezyPeer we indeed haven't heard dating updates recently..

Thelittlestranger · 07/11/2025 07:59

Woken up this morning after a few days with a sore throat to a cough and snot. So, I'm going to try and blast it away with a slow run as the dogs have to get walked anyway. WI was below top range, and I expect to have a quiet weekend which will help.

@BreezyPeer I always (used) to put on weight when stressed. I would much prefer it the other way round - What's up? If dating is causing stress, that means it's not fun anymore..

BreezyPeer · 07/11/2025 08:04

@HeidiLite @Thelittlestranger
It has been so much fun until now! However, I felt like the 'sex and the city' date several people at once approach was both exhausting and at fundamental odds with my core values.
I have had to have some really difficult conversations with people and some of them have reacted badly.
It's all a learning curve but you are right, it's not that much fun right now, xxx

Jins · 07/11/2025 09:40

Sorry to hear that @BreezyPeer. Sounds like a complete minefield.

Weigh in complete and I’m matching the lowest weight I recorded this week which is 9st 12.8. 1lb down on last week but there was a lot of fluctuation. Will jab later when I’ve decided to do the 6.6mg again or a lower dose. My head says to drop down but that feeling of complete lack of desire for food was wonderful and very tempting. It’s hard to judge what’s left in the pen but there should be two doses of 5mg left. I’ll probably syringe a 5mg dose out and see what’s left before making a final decision.

DH has just left for a walking/climbing weekend with old school friends so I’ve got 3.5 days of peace and quiet. I’ve got a lot of alterations to do to winter trousers so I think I’ll mostly be cocooning at my sewing machine.

Have a great day all

meatyryvita · 07/11/2025 11:44

Morning losers! I hope everyone is having a great Friday and looking forward to a lovely weekend.

After yesterdays 1.4lb loss, I was feeling pretty good about myself and went to a casual work event wearing slim jeans and lovely silk shirt. All day and all evening, I had colleagues coming up to me to say that I 'look really well' and one that I know very well, came up and said 'f*cking hell, you've lost so much weight, you look 15 years younger 😂'. It's a good job we're good friends!

I tried to initiate conversation about other subjects over the evening and talk about my colleagues but they all kept coming back to my changes and whether I was on the jabs. I said that I had just focussed on portion size, protein, exercise, tracking my calories etc. and they all seemed to accept it.

I left the evening (early so that I didn't drink so much that I'd have unhealthy food munchies) feeling pretty awesome! It's a shame that we didn't really discuss anything else but now that they've seen me and will hopefully get used to the 'new' me, we can talk about them next time I see them!

Have a great day losers.

HeidiLite · 07/11/2025 12:52

aww that's lovely @meatyryvita !
I still have some colleagues who don't know when to stop though. Yes, yes, we all heard and understood that I was soooooo fat before and I am now sooooo much slimmer..

Aimingdown · 07/11/2025 13:34

Happy Friday!

Hope everybody is feeling well(er) and planning a good weekend.

I’ve suddenly found it much easier to eat less and heading for 58kg. Goal is 57 so I am also starting to experiment with titrating down a little. Having been extremely busy for the last couple of weeks and not having too much junk in the house also seem to help. I am slightly concerned though at the way the loss suddenly escalated very recently so want to be careful not to eat too little and lose muscle instead of fat. But overall, seems like a winning week. Now I’m just going to go away ans poke the loose skin on my upper arms and legs. A little bit on the upper tummy, but somehow that isn’t bothering me as much as the arms and legs.

Jins · 07/11/2025 13:36

Bet you felt great @meatyryvita!

Jab done and there was loads left in the pen after I drew out a 5mg dose so I’ve treated myself to a second week at 6.66. In the interests of preventing waste I may well do the same next week. Looking forward to waking up with no interest in food tomorrow.

I’ve taken two pairs of trousers in as much as I can but they are still a bit flappy on the legs. They’ll do as they are semi smart for winter sightseeing when we’ll probably get a meal in somewhere that isn’t a chain restaurant. A very niche requirement for an item of clothing. Tomorrow I’m tackling jeans again. A different pattern and they are pull on rather than zipped so we’ll see how they turn out.

HeidiLite · 07/11/2025 16:58

NSV here.
Last year, I decided I would really want to have a belted shawl collar jacket. Went to several shops but all 'my size' jackets were too small (ha) and when I went size up, I still looked terrible. Like a barrel with a hoop around the middle. Almost cried.

But now, I bought one of those jackets from Vinted, it just arrived, so wore it for school pick up. DS said: oh, mum, you look...expensive! (I take it as a compliment) 😁

Aimingdown · 07/11/2025 17:59

Massive NSV @HeidiLite !

DGonMJ · 07/11/2025 19:34

The best compliment @HeidiLite!

I’ve been craving chocolate cake all week so have managed to persuade DS to make a double chocolate loaf. Will have a slice with yoghurt and berries. I’ve been so tired today after the long week and really just wanting carbs. Looking forward to chilling out this weekend.

tinyemmy · 07/11/2025 21:03

@Thelittlestrangermy goal weight is 8st 6, I like to weigh that. The lightest I've been is 8st 10 (for a day post holiday). I've been tracking what I eat for the week and just below 8st 7 (it's so easy to get back on top of it on MJ). I like the 2lbs although it leaves no margin of error but that's probably a good thing. Slimming world uses 3lbs either side. I think that works for heavier weights (taller people!).

I've eaten the world today, probably because a) it's Friday b) I'm below the top of my range c) I jab on a Monday so the jab will be wearing off d) it's Friday!!! I've never been able to eat the same all week, I do like a few weekends treats.

@BreezyPeercongratulations on your goal!

I hope those that are ill are feeling better. I'm just coming to the end of my antibiotics although my glands still feel swollen. I've not been to the gym for nearly 2 weeks so I need to go tomorrow!

DGonMJ · 08/11/2025 09:40

Morning losers! I’ve been awake since 7:30 but have stayed in bed. Still so tired and headachy from the week. I have a massive reading list for work this weekend. But feeling a little burnt out to absorb any of it. I’m going to do some laundry, tidy my bedroom and plan this week’s menu. Seeing PT tomorrow so today is my rest day but maybe I can do a low impact peloton ride to get some gentle movement in.

Jins · 08/11/2025 10:38

Morning all! Like @DGonMJ I’ve been awake for a while but after I fed the menagerie I returned to bed with a coffee and my kindle. I’m calling it resting my knee.

The insane level of suppression I had last week is back and I’m loving it! It’s mildly concerning that I feel that way, especially in maintenance. I’d still like to see what 8st 10 or 11 feels like so I’m very clear that this dose is just temporary but it’s a tool I’ll remember for the future for sure.

Have a great weekend everyone.

PenelopesPursuitPrevails · 08/11/2025 11:27

Morning all. Feeling very bored with it all this week. Weight down despite that.

Also feeling a bit under par which probably isn’t helping. Saw my GP yesterday who has altered my medication so we’ll see how that goes but I’m feeling a bit frustrated that I can’t just get on with what I’d planned/am trying to rest ahead of a busy week next week.

Hope everyone has a good weekend.

Zempy · 08/11/2025 11:30

Weighed in at 8:6.

My BMI is 20.3 so I am a healthy weight. I think I would prefer to stay slightly low with Christmas around the corner.

I am not sure whether to reduce my dosage when I jab tomorrow. I’m getting slightly dizzy if I forget to stand up really slowly but I have always had low blood pressure.

I have been busy dealing with other people’s problems this morning. Both adult DC have issues with friends. Two friends have seriously ill DHs.

I think I might treat myself to a pyjama day!

myladyjane · 08/11/2025 11:52

@Zempy that’s hard when it’s other people especially your babies. Your role is supporter not fixer isn’t it and that’s tough.

@PenelopesPursuitPrevails my sista from another mutha I hear you. Bored is pretty much where I am too. Jabbed last night and was very meh about it. I hope your medication tweak helps.

i had a tough mothering week - v anxious dd lost her shit in spectacular fashion due to mock/sixth form application stress. Usually me and her live in a lovely calm bubble and her sister and dad are the feisty ones but we had a huge blow out and I lost my patience with her (she turns nasty when really anxious and was an awful bitch to her sister for no reason). All good now though.

off out to fireworks tonight. I have bought a new jumper for the occasion although I have given up trying to do natural fibres only - it’s almost impossible if you are allergic to wool I am finding as cotton is both tricky to track down and when I do too chunky for me. My new jumper is an xs which is a bit stupid but I’m more confident to wear fitted now. Also my much longed for velvet teal jacket arrived (months of stalking vinted) and fits like a glove. No where to wear it yet but I’ll find somewhere
