We have all been on for over a year now

Last month the year before , we gathered our courage and started what would be a memorable journey for us all - made some hopefully forever friends

Gather round my little auggies 😍 and we are all doing amazingly so be proud of yourselves

The amount of weight per person lost varies from 1-2stone - 3-4 - 5-6 - 7+
in a year

We are amazing !!!

All of us have totally changed our body shape - reduced our bmi and weight and hopefully improved our health

Some are at goal - and working out how to maintain - some nearing it
And some still have weight they want to lose

We are still here cheering you on till you get to your happy weight so please do carry on posting

Some have stopped for cost - esp after the aug announcements - still so thankful we started it when we did

Imagine Aug 25 and being told 2/3w later prices were increasing lots - I def couldn’t have managed a year of mj at new sept prices esp as doses didn’t really effect me even 15 !

Blowing baby dust your way to those who are ttc

ALL of us have lost weight and I love the fact we are all so supportive to each other over weight and our general day to day lives

This year will almost be harder. To keep the weight off Esp if reducing dose or off completely

only 2 words to say 😂😂

Evening! I’ve just jabbed what was left in my pen, not quite a full dose. I’m then ok for my surgery as it is over a week away (by about 18 hours…).

I’ve bought some of the protein shakes that blondes likes, I’m planning to have nothing solid after Wednesday afternoon so I’ll be as empty as possible. So protein shakes by the bucket on Thursday! I’m also taking my lactose again to ensure I go into a general as empty as possible 😆😆

I’m really nervous that the mj will impact the safety of the anaesthetic.

FurForksSake · 06/11/2025 18:28

Sounds like a plan to stay on the same dose over the winter months, take it slow and you’ll work out how to cope at each level and then can go down again.

Blondeshavemorefun · 06/11/2025 18:40

Honestly it’s no biggie to be on mj and a ga. My friend had to have emergency leg surgery / in traffic accident so wasn’t planned and on mj and they didn’t seem that alarmed when putting her to sleep

she woke fine and back to walking ok with crutches now

I do like the protein shakes - are hog allows any food @FurForksSake

That’s good to hear @Blondeshavemorefun. I have no idea what your last sentence means. I wonder if you’re driving to work? I’ve got no excuse for my crap spelling, grammar and typos!

Seriously, thank you. I’m going to be washing with dettol soap and then my nice espa shower gel from Sunday and try and get as clean as possible. I’ve had serious post surgical infections twice and in determined not to get one.

Blondeshavemorefun · 06/11/2025 19:45

Pmsl

you not hog

I can apparently eat as normal up to midnight, but doing some digging and with how ridiculously slow my Bowels are I think I want to be more cautious than that. If I can drink my calories on Thursday and go now fibre Wednesday I should be relatively well empty by Friday. The op is in a private hospital so that makes me a little more nervous of what they do if it goes wrong. But there is a major trauma centre out the back so….

Blondeshavemorefun · 06/11/2025 22:18

Think positive

But then what would I moan about? 😆😆

FurForksSake · 06/11/2025 22:20

We can all moan about the cost of new clothes

tho as most of mine has come from Temu I can’t really complain

OP posts:
FurForksSake · 06/11/2025 22:39

Oh yes, I’ve got some nice bits off Temu given your nudge.

I have made £30 on vinted selling off some trousers that are too big. I had to post five pairs today.

Azuresky68 · 07/11/2025 08:31

Weigh day today 8 stone 5.5 pounds BMI 23.5. Very happy with that but I am still having to restrict what I eat calorie wise to stay at this weight.
My goal is to stay under 8 stone 7 pounds.Still on 7 5 but will be going down to 5 soon after a week away next week on half board in a hotel. I can make good food choices there easily.
Good luck to everyone 💓

FurForksSake · 07/11/2025 09:27

Morning! Well done on the weigh in @Azuresky68 I’m pretty sure I’ll be restricting forever.

in down to 8st7, so only 1lb up on pre holiday. I’m in a huge amount of pain and I think pretty swollen so it’s going to be a very quiet day for me on the sofa.

PoemsForTea · 07/11/2025 10:10

Talking of new clothes - I'm working at home today so put comfies on. I used to live in this top and now it looks ridiculous 😆

Morning @PoemsForTea it does look rather spacious! I’m always amazed how long certain items are…

Blondeshavemorefun · 07/11/2025 12:21

Gained 2lbs but still way under 10.7 and goal was 11 originally so as long a i don’t go over that as a lb more takes me back to over weight tech at bmi 25

i think as long as I don’t go over 10-7 im doing ok - 10.7 is still only 23 bmi for me and 1/2 a stone less then I wanted to me originally

where 10.6 makes me 22.9

i am def more hungry on 5 and the food noise which I don’t think I ever had but maybe I did but just ignored it as ate the stuff 😂 is mumbling in the background

which is scary

but chocolate biscuits are looking at me in the tin saying eat me

so have removed tin from sofa

I’ve never really had this noise thing so it’s a bit of a shock for me ha ha

OP posts:
FurForksSake · 07/11/2025 12:26

I think since WLI people have talked about “food noise” in a way we never have before.

It’s good that you are tuned into it and working out where that sweet spot lies.

Azuresky68 · 07/11/2025 13:00

@FurForksSake so sorry 😞 sending hugs x

Azuresky68 · 07/11/2025 13:01

@Blondeshavemorefun I couldn't have chocolate biscuits in the house, even on 10 mg. Give them away?

But it's OK to have treats if you in your calorie allowance

FurForksSake · 08/11/2025 11:31

Ah blondes, that sounds hard. Could you buy some small pre/packaged treats so that you can schedule them and they have a natural end point? So the fun size Maltese’s, schedule them in so you aren’t craving them and getting tempted by the big bags?

What has worked in the past?

Yiuve done so well, these are teething problems. You are figuring out how to navigate this stage, it’s experimental.

WorriedRelative · 08/11/2025 11:37

Sorry I have been awol again! Hope everyone is OK, I still haven't broken the 70kg barrier 😩

Trying to be philosophical that doing the last bit slowly will make maintenance easier.

Honestly it's probably more about stress and tiredness making me lazy about cooking and exercising. Might try new batteries in the scales though as they seem more inconsistent than usual!

More positively though I have just started magnesium glycinate and it is helping me sleep better.
