We have all been on for over a year now

Last month the year before , we gathered our courage and started what would be a memorable journey for us all - made some hopefully forever friends

Gather round my little auggies 😍 and we are all doing amazingly so be proud of yourselves

The amount of weight per person lost varies from 1-2stone - 3-4 - 5-6 - 7+
in a year

We are amazing !!!

All of us have totally changed our body shape - reduced our bmi and weight and hopefully improved our health

Some are at goal - and working out how to maintain - some nearing it
And some still have weight they want to lose

We are still here cheering you on till you get to your happy weight so please do carry on posting

Some have stopped for cost - esp after the aug announcements - still so thankful we started it when we did

Imagine Aug 25 and being told 2/3w later prices were increasing lots - I def couldn’t have managed a year of mj at new sept prices esp as doses didn’t really effect me even 15 !

Blowing baby dust your way to those who are ttc

ALL of us have lost weight and I love the fact we are all so supportive to each other over weight and our general day to day lives

This year will almost be harder. To keep the weight off Esp if reducing dose or off completely

I’ve got a heated gillet actually! I forget I have it, I bought it for pottery as the studio I was using was so cold. They are fab and so easy to recharge the little battery pack.

Sounds a great idea..where did you get it? I have a heated blanket abd heating pad for my back, but it's the moving about bit that a heated gilet would help with 👍

FurForksSake · 02/11/2025 09:38

Weighed in. 3lbs up apparently. I’m hoping that’s mostly constipation and too much salt and will go quite quickly. Back to firm tracking now.

You will get vitamin sorted in no tome. I try not to weigh for a week after any holiday as I know the weight gain is temporary and will soon become a loss 😊

Azuresky68 · 02/11/2025 16:55

@morbidcuriosity how exciting to think about a heated gilet...I am going to order one too. Does everyone feel the cold more now they have lost weight? I also try not to have my heating on all the time to keep my bills down

Blondeshavemorefun · 02/11/2025 17:01

Heating is on. I hate being cold and I’m really cold at the moment and it’s not winter winter

@FurForksSake I was /am def hungry

I had lamb shank. Mash and veg

usually that stuffs me

but today it didn’t

I’m hungry now and tea isn’t till 7

this really isn’t good is it

https://amzn.eu/d/aCnUwiJ I think this is the one I have.
definitely feel the cold more now.

Thst hunger does sound like a pain in the bum, we get so used to not feeling it. Do you have any ways to manage it? I guess it’s a case of redirecting your brain and knowing it’s ok and doesn’t have to be attended to.

@Azuresky68if you get one from amazon double check as some say battery pack not included.
Honestly I love mine, as am now always cold.
@Blondeshavemorefunwell done for trying 5mg. I'm still on the 10mg and nervous of trying to come down, tomorrow is only 2nd dose of new pen so will have 4 more weeks before I decide whether to try 7.5 or do another 10.

Are you drinking plenty of water Blondes?

FurForksSake · 02/11/2025 18:51

I think the difficult bit about tapering and the return of hunger is that we’ve got very used to being satisfied on small amounts rather than the volume eating that is needed to stave off hunger if we want to. I’m trying to eat vegetables at the start of meals and really thinking about eating filling foods and fibrous foods to fill me up. I’ve only come down form 15 to 12.5 and I’ve noticed I’m more hungry.

Blondeshavemorefun · 02/11/2025 21:28

I am @PoemsForTea tho could prob drink more. We always can lol

@FurForksSake this is true. The meal wasn’t huge but filled me previous Sundays for months if had a shank

I skipped 12.5 and did 15 to 10. Think did 2 x 10 then to 7.5 and now to 5

FurForksSake · 02/11/2025 21:34

I’ve still eaten badly today, tomorrow has to be better.

I finished off some paprika crisps and has snack size crunchie and twirl. Dinner was gammon, one roast potato, tiny bit of stuffing, cabbage, carrots and sweetcorn. We then had some very overcooked rice pudding. It’s the lack of nutrition that’s worrying me and the snacking. Calorie wise I’m probably close to my 1000 goal for weight loss.

we were going to have gammon, egg and chips (home made healthy ones), but the gammon disappeared! DH said it was too tasty when he carved it and it was tiny. So now I’ve got to magic a dinner out of the air. I also used up all the potatoes… so it might be scrambled eggs on toast for dinner tomorrow!

20bloodypounds · 02/11/2025 22:01

@Blondeshavemorefun also sometimes for no reason we do feel a bit more hungry. Plus the psychology... I've having Novemeber off the jabs, so last injection was Friday. Today I thought I was really hungry and I kept looking in the fridge for something to graze on. But of course I should be no hungrier than last week, there will be no difference until next weekend. Just my imagination!

Blondeshavemorefun · 02/11/2025 22:32

Be interesting if you are more hungry next week @20bloodypounds

i feel I am this week def on 5

and

whislers

i dunked 8 biscoff biscuits in a cuppa before I went for work ffs

sits on naughty step

im gonna gain this week aren’t I

@morbidcuriosity do you remember which brand you bought? There is such a variation on price and wondering if the cheaper ones are any good!

morbidcuriosity · 02/11/2025 23:20

I got this one, It was £37 when I got it.. comes with a battery pack.. but I'm looking now and there is one with more heated areas, kinda wish I got a better one, but I have to say, I absolutely love it so far!

FurForksSake · 03/11/2025 12:59

0.4lbs more on this morning. Up to 8st10, which is fine but I definitely want to get back to the other side of 8st7.

Popped into Aldi for some protein yoghurts, I find them really filling so I’m hoping that will help. I’m going to track really closely and also get on the lactose as I’m very constipated again from the painkillers.

This is my first gain I think, lots of stalls but the first time I’ve seen a significant increase. Before mj this would probably result in bingeing.

Blondeshavemorefun · 03/11/2025 13:17

Don’t fret about the gain @FurForksSake

tho remind me of what I said to you on fri when. I do and I’m tearing my hair out

I do drink water but maybe haven’t as much so gone back to stealing my daughters stitch bottle as it’s a litre and I used to do 2 of those a day +

Azuresky68 · 03/11/2025 19:22

@FurForksSake I am sure it will come off very soon. Try that recipe idea I posted with eggs, yoghurt and blueberries..it's so filling and full of protein. When I got to my target of 8 stone 5 pounds in June it was the lowest I had been in years..then went on holiday for 3 weeks...didnt date get weighed for a few weeks but eventually got back down and have stayed there ever since. Good luck

FurForksSake · 03/11/2025 19:25

Thanks @Azuresky68 I will!

I had cheese on toast for dinner, but that’s all I’ve had bar the protein mouse. I’m not feeling hungry and I’ve done about twelvety thousand wees so I’m hopeful!

I have to go to Oxford for my pre-op tomorrow, dh is taking me so hopefully it will be straightforward. When I stand on their scales I have to be ok with it saying 9st as lll be fully clothes and it won’t be first thing.

it’s really good to hear you got yours off and then have held steady.

morbidcuriosity · 03/11/2025 20:39

Just want to share. I'm loving the chicken skewers from Iceland, there is a range of different flavours and they are fab for a low calorie protein hit..

Had dinner at lunchtime so needed a snack, and this was a hit.

FurForksSake · 03/11/2025 20:46

Ooh, I’ll have a look for those!
