We have all been on for over a year now

Last month the year before , we gathered our courage and started what would be a memorable journey for us all - made some hopefully forever friends

Gather round my little auggies 😍 and we are all doing amazingly so be proud of yourselves

The amount of weight per person lost varies from 1-2stone - 3-4 - 5-6 - 7+
in a year

We are amazing !!!

All of us have totally changed our body shape - reduced our bmi and weight and hopefully improved our health

Some are at goal - and working out how to maintain - some nearing it
And some still have weight they want to lose

We are still here cheering you on till you get to your happy weight so please do carry on posting

Some have stopped for cost - esp after the aug announcements - still so thankful we started it when we did

Imagine Aug 25 and being told 2/3w later prices were increasing lots - I def couldn’t have managed a year of mj at new sept prices esp as doses didn’t really effect me even 15 !

Blowing baby dust your way to those who are ttc

ALL of us have lost weight and I love the fact we are all so supportive to each other over weight and our general day to day lives

This year will almost be harder. To keep the weight off Esp if reducing dose or off completely

@FurForksSake forgot to ask what dose you are on now?

FurForksSake · 29/10/2025 08:35

Thanks @Azuresky68 for your kindness and wisdom.

im on 12.5, I did a few weeks on 15 and was down to 8st6 before holiday. 8st2 was apparently a goal I wrote on my weighing app at the beginning and I feel like I need to strive for that but really I’m happy where I am. I am worried that not actively losing will mean my eye comes off the ball.

I think 14 months in I am in a bit of a rebellious stage and haven’t been eating great, more of the omad and less nutritious as I’ve become bored of it all. I’m hoping holiday with access to whatever I want helps.

Yesterday I had cake and then nothing till dinner, which was roast chicken and lots of veg. I did have two mini Yorkshire with it, which was a lot, but no pudding.

Blondeshavemorefun · 29/10/2025 08:45

Oh dear @Azuresky68 tho what do you call food noise ? I’m def more hungry on 7.5 and will be jabbing 5 Friday but not sure if this is food noise as such ?

weigh once a week @Azuresky68

your son sounds lovely @FurForksSake and there are groups for young carers if you went to go down that route - where they get extra clubs /time to decompress

the weight you have lost - remind me how much - but that must have helped your back ?

it’s fine to have cake /treats on holiday and yes if a slight gain once home then we (you and our support) will deal with it

I’m in huge amounts more pain and on and a lot more medication than before. I’ve lost 5.5st. Down from 14st to 8st6.

It feels wildly unfair to be honest. But, I’m hyper mobile, arthritic and have a lot of structural issues with my spine. I’ve usually just had flares and then it calms down but that doesn’t seem to be the thing with my back now. But with the hip I sit too much, but then my work is all sitting and driving so that doesn’t help.

I want to go back to work, but it feels so distant now.

Blondeshavemorefun · 29/10/2025 10:07

You will get there @FurForksSake but Kwym about Hips

i don’t want a replacement as will mean weeks /months off work and I can’t afford that - bad enough when had ankle in plaster and had to learn to rewalk again and had think 6mths off as was too unstable to work

im def feeling more pain in hips as lowering the dose and that’s why I kinda want to stay on mj for pain rather than weight loss

anyone has info about the tablet - think I read it may come out next year - wonder what cost will be

OP posts:
FurForksSake · 29/10/2025 10:13

It’s miserable isnt it? Mine will both need doing, probably in the next 15 years or I need bilateral PAO and that’s a long process and I may now be too old. I’ve been off for months with the pain and now that the physio is beginning to work and some days I think I could be back at work there’s no point as I’m having surgery in two weeks and then need to recover. It all feels like a long wait to then try and get my life back and it all sucks. I’m going to hopefully do a phased return over 6 weeks and I’ll have some leave to use and I’m going to drop to four days. But hugely I just don’t want to. But that’s a bit like after having a baby I guess.

I am hopeful for the tablet and prices reducing.

Blondeshavemorefun · 29/10/2025 10:27

It was ouch but manageable before sept

but crazy now

thank god we did this last year !

Azuresky68 · 29/10/2025 10:55

@FurForksSake the chicken dinner sounds fine and cake replaced your lunch so sounds fine to me 👍

Azuresky68 · 29/10/2025 11:02

@Blondeshavemorefun my friend aged 63 lost 6 stone so she could have hip replacement recovered really well in 6 weeks...no pain at all now.
Food noise...I was sitting watching TV thinking what could I eat when I wasnt actually hungry...not had that before on MJ
Yesterday I had a 3 egg frittata for breakfast then went to work..on the way there I craved something sweet and picked up a double star bar (my favourite) 376 calories - star bar was my lunch! Veg chilli and cauliflower rice for tea.

Blondeshavemorefun · 29/10/2025 11:03

It’s more as my job. I need to be very stable on my legs - if I wobble /fall /trip and drop - it would be awful

Hi everyone, long time no post. Can’t claim to have kept on top of everyone’s journeys but when I read, I’m very proud of you all.

I’m still here and chipping away. I had reached my original goal of 140 but decided I wanted to lose a little more but was slowly titrating down at the same time. I then went on an all inclusive holiday for 9 days and didn’t jab during so stretched out to 19 days between jabs. I ate and drank much more than normal and have put on 7 pounds. This was fully expected- although food choices were good there is no planet that can excuse the many mojitos! Well back on it now, I’ve got this and I have a renewed motivation to make this a change for life.

Addictedtobeauty · 29/10/2025 12:26

10 days between jabs, not 19!

FurForksSake · 29/10/2025 16:14

Hi @Addictedtobeauty sounds like a great holiday!

Blondeshavemorefun · 29/10/2025 17:13

Mojitos was my fav cocktail but I didn’t fancy them at all on holiday. I was gutted !

Sorry to hear about your pain @FurForksSake . That must be so challenging with children to keep up with too.

I've just done my last 12.5. Starting to work downwards now. Except I'm a bit all over the place this week and managed to take it a day early, after forgetting I needed to count the clicks last week and (I'm pretty sure) underdosing . Who knows what dose is in my system at this point 🤦🏻‍♀️ You'd think after 14 months I'd have got the hang of it.

I'm really nervous about weaning off. I've heard from a couple of friends who stopped completely and have put a stone on. I'm going to work down cautiously. I'd love for a pill version to be available. It's not just the cost, I hate having the used needles in the house. I'd take a low dose pill long term much sooner than carry on injecting.

FurForksSake · 29/10/2025 17:32

I had a couple of NSV today. We went to a castle, it was physically for me a disaster. I sat on benches and had a little cry in the car. But, I wore my very expensive north face Parka. It cost over £300 7-8 years ago. I wore it that winter I got it, and never fit in it again! It’s a size medium and is minute. I couldn’t even get an arm in it at my biggest. Today I wore it with a vest, T-shirt and Borg fleece under it, zipped up! It shows I’ve lost weight all over. But medium is taking the piss, I’m an 8-10! More 8 and sometimes even a 6 or extra small. Medium child maybe. Anyway! It fits. I hope it looks nice, as it’s so expensive I need to now stay this weight and wear it for ten winters.

second one, I realised I no longer have to panic about getting out of the car, I can just fit without thinking when I get out. I didn’t really realise how hard that had started to be bit it gave me the fear in the past.

I definitely have the fear about coming off, it’s why I want to go a bit further if I possibly can. A stone gain would be acceptable if I started from 8st. It’s not from 9st as I’m so short I’d be out of all my clothes. It’s so hard to think about the future. I’ve got a stash and I need to get it to last.

Azuresky68 · 30/10/2025 14:35

@FurForksSake so happy that you has a NSV with your coat. I keep buying coats on Vinted. I have an outdoorsy life so it's nice not to wear the same coat all Autumn and Winter. The last time I bought a new coat was 5 years ago...lovely cream padded long one from Mountain Warehouse plus I bought a Rab at the same time in a plum colour. I have bought a few coats in charity shops and just bought a black M&S one from Vinted for £8..as good as new...all quilted ones as I really feel the cold.
Now to complete my wardrobe I am looking for a chocolate brown one on Vinted..loads around. How many padded jackets does a woman need!!

FurForksSake · 30/10/2025 14:42

I love the sound of the coats! I’ve got a huge red and black winter coat from next, it’s now much too big and I need to wash it and get it on vinted.

Azuresky68 · 30/10/2025 15:13

I love the sound of the coats! I’ve got a huge red and black winter coat from next, it’s now much too big and I need to wash it and get it on vinted.

The way I find what I want is by doing a search using all the filters including price range I want to pay. Then favourite the ones I like. This means my feed will keep showing similar items. I save the search as well. So for chocolate brown coat I put size, colour and also the brands I wanted to buy. You can also do a picture search on Vinted.
Good luck on selling coat...I do a search to see what price similar items in the size and brand I am advertised at. At the moment there are loads of items going very cheap. But I have made over £260 by selling all the big clothes I have. Then spent most of it on restocking my wardrobe...happy days!

FurForksSake · 30/10/2025 18:03

That’s a very good amount! Most of mine went to the charity shop, but I’ve got a little pile of jeans and trousers that I’d like to try and sell and are very lightly worn. I might try when we get back. Thanks for the tips, it’s really helpful to know that favouriting things helps your feed!

Blondeshavemorefun · 30/10/2025 18:30

well done @FurForksSake

imnalmost

im a stone lighter then I wanted and happy of I gain 7lbs of so once fully off as still be under the goal I wanted so I get why you want to drop more

tho I wasn’t trying and don’t get why I still managed to lose extra weight on a lower dose and more cals a day

great nsv

And yes I am so cold @Azuresky68

ive always felt the cold but having lost 7s I really really feel the cold now

I hate being cold
heating on. Slippers on. Bed socks on in bed and 15 tog duvet

FurForksSake · 30/10/2025 18:42

Today we went to the zoo and I had thermals, jeans (size 8 😆😆) a thermal top, long sleeved top and an m&s walking zip up underneath my north face parka. I was so cold. I really notice being outside is really hard because I can’t move enough or fast enough. And I’m just cold!

holiday cottage has a lot burner, it’s fabulous. I’m on the sofa in my pyjamas with super thick bed socks and the fire roaring. I love it. At home I often have my heating pad behind my back.

Azuresky68 · 31/10/2025 09:33

Hello @Blondeshavemorefunand @FurForksSake🥶🧥🥶🧥 thank goodness for thermals, heating pads, heated throws and electric blankets!!
I waited until today to get weighed and I am 8 stone 4.5 pounds. Like both of you I am lighter than I ever dreamed of...my original goal was 9 stone.
Unlike Blondes I am on lower calories to avoid gaining and not quite sure how many I can eat without gaining plus i do like a 🍺🍺🍺once or twice a week maximum but not every week. Then when on holiday I always have a drink but rarely tempted by crisps, chocolate, pizzas, puddings or cakes
Yes Blondes it's quite a mystery or should we say a miracle that you are doing so well on 1800 cals ...would love that.
Stay warm folks 🔥

FurForksSake · 31/10/2025 11:29

I ate quite a few crisps yesterday, hot honey pigs in blanket flavour 😆

I’m looking forward to being home with my scales and able to see what this week has done to my weight. I definitely will need to be on 12-1400 calories a day to maintain. I think weepixie said her son in law made the point that it’s very easy to under estimate the calories and so I do try to err. My portions have been small even if I’ve had treats.

today we are going to have a cooked breakfast for dinner and I’ve got smoked salmon to eat at lunch.
