We have all been on for over a year now

Last month the year before , we gathered our courage and started what would be a memorable journey for us all - made some hopefully forever friends

Gather round my little auggies 😍 and we are all doing amazingly so be proud of yourselves

The amount of weight per person lost varies from 1-2stone - 3-4 - 5-6 - 7+
in a year

We are amazing !!!

All of us have totally changed our body shape - reduced our bmi and weight and hopefully improved our health

Some are at goal - and working out how to maintain - some nearing it
And some still have weight they want to lose

We are still here cheering you on till you get to your happy weight so please do carry on posting

Some have stopped for cost - esp after the aug announcements - still so thankful we started it when we did

Imagine Aug 25 and being told 2/3w later prices were increasing lots - I def couldn’t have managed a year of mj at new sept prices esp as doses didn’t really effect me even 15 !

Blowing baby dust your way to those who are ttc

ALL of us have lost weight and I love the fact we are all so supportive to each other over weight and our general day to day lives

This year will almost be harder. To keep the weight off Esp if reducing dose or off completely

only 2 words to say 😂😂

Thank you @Glittermoonlight

and lovely to hear from you and totally agree need to struggles v success. And tbh only success as still on mj tho a low dose

not a boring read at all and tbh it is my fear that I may gain lots if come totally off it

will see how I fare on 5 next week

so you have gained almost a st since coming off over 3mths so a lb a week roughly

I am def noticing the hunger more on 7.5 from 15 but be interesting what 5 will be like for me

do I want to stay on mj forever - no - mainly for cost esp with increase but if I need help to stabilise will I ……..

only time will tell

Thank you for responding @Blondeshavemorefun
When I went down to 5mg I felt it wasn’t doing much & I didn’t have much suppression. I should have gone down to 2.5mg after I now realise in hindsight instead of finishing on 5mg
I think because we’re so used to MJ in our system that comparing the suppression of 5mg compared to 10mg seems a bit of a shock. However I found the reality of 5mg & no MJ in my system huge. It clearly was doing a lot than I thought it was.
It is expensive,& even more so now. The good news is that the tablet form is apparently, according to Eli Lily, doing fairly well in the trials, & although not quite as effective as the injection, it does still work. So for those of us who are looking for a maintenance dose it might be a good substitute to the very expensive injection, because it’s going to cost a lot less. They’re saying 2026 for release- so let’s hope they’re on target.
Although I have gained weight, it’s all a learning curve, & I will never be obese again with WLIs like MJ around. So that’s good news. I have high BP so can get it again prescribed if I went up to a BMI of 27. But I’m hoping I can get back on track.

Blondeshavemorefun · 25/10/2025 18:26

Try pharmoulous. They are taking new patients on if bmi is over 21 I think it was if bene in previously

they will also re allow to start up to a year from last order with them

and set price. No offers or discounts. Their price is their price and free p&p

quite frankly they should give me a discount as I’ve been promoting them lots 😂

far better then ousck imo. Cheaper and faster

Great to read everyone’s updates, whether maintaining, still losing or gaining … . Fab to see the skinny jeans photo @Blondeshavemorefun you look amazing !
it just shows how differently we all respond and our different challenges. For me, I’ve been maintaining for a couple of months at around 9 st 1-2. I’m on 7.5, and jabbing every 10 days or so (alternate Mondays and Thursdays) Definitely more snacking, and hungrier but very conscious of the risk so weighing every week to make sure .

Azuresky68 · 26/10/2025 09:12

@Glittermoonlight great to hear from you and an interesting read ...not boring at all. Keep us updated on how you get on. I am currently maintaining on 10 and it's jab day today.

Azuresky68 · 26/10/2025 09:44

Good morning everyone. It's my jab day today. Currently maintaining on 10, but thinking about trying 7.5 as I still have suppression on day 7.

I have been on a Vinted mission to clear my wardrobe. It all adds up and so far I have made £265..very happy 😊

Blondeshavemorefun · 26/10/2025 09:54

When you say suppression do you mean you literally can’t eat or that get full quickly etc

I just don't fancy eating anything in the morning and can go for quite a long time between eating then when I eat I have small portions. No snacking. I got up at 8 this morning and now just after 10 am I am feeling hunger/tummy rumbling but don't fancy anything. Will eat one weetabix with yoghurt and frozen berries as I can't face eggs right now...usually have an omelette for brekkie.
As you know I like a social drink but when not on holiday will limit to once a week.
So yesterday I went for a couple of drinks 🍺and had a lovely afternoon out plus walked to pub and back...11,250 steps 👞👞

FurForksSake · 26/10/2025 10:26

Morning! I injected Friday evening and we drove up to Scotland yesterday. Driving involved a lot of stops due to me being in lain and needing to try and stretch and move. We had McDonald’s breakfast, tradition. I had half a breakfast wrap, which was nice but half was plenty. We stopped for coffee and I had a small hot chocolate, delicious! And then we stopped for lunch which was mid afternoon, I had half a smoked salmon sandwich and half a piece of cake. Dinner had to be easy so we had pizza from Sainsbury. I had a couple of small pieces. So not ideal food and I felt a bit sick at bedtime! But it did resonate about not finishing anything and what a difference that makes to consumption and calories.

plan for today is that dh has taken the kids out for the day, they took packed lunches (thank gos Sainsburys deliver here!) and we are being a take away for my birthday. I’ve got sour dough, avocado and eggs to make myself some lunch in a while.

dh put the frozen pigs in blankets in the fridge, so in cooking them for with roast chicken tomorrow!

I’ve done a massive shop and we have some lovely easy dinners planned with lots of veg!

im hoping I can do some gently walks, physio has said I should try and then rest the next day and we’ve found a local pool and I’ll do my physio exercises while the kids play.

I’m trying to have a week of not worrying too much about consumption without going overboard. I’ve got surgery in two weeks so I need to be mindful that I’ll probably have to miss a dose?

im still around target, I’d be happy to get down to 8st2, but that’s absolute minimum. The reason I’m aiming low (but not underweight) is to allow myself some bounce back room as I’m sure it’s going to happen.

FurForksSake · 26/10/2025 10:27

Im so looking forward to having my surgery so I can exercise and build some muscle!!! I’m going to join a gym so I can use it for rehab (cycling and cross trainer) and then keep going a bit.

Blondeshavemorefun · 26/10/2025 14:08

Sorry in pain @FurForksSake

@FurForksSake sounds like you have made a good plan and are mindful on how much you are eating. Have a lovely holiday. I bet you can't wait to have surgery that will help deal with your pain. Sending hugs 💐

Azuresky68 · 26/10/2025 15:44

Hope my medical update isn't too boring....
Having gone to the doctor's ages ago and pre-MJ, to ask for tests to try and find out why I was always tired, I have recently been diagnosed with hypoparathyroidism, which is quite rare.
Symptoms include:
Tiredness - my main symptom pre-MJ
Also other symptoms -
Feeling sick
Constipation
Loss of appetite (didn't have this until I started WLI)
Thirsty
Peeing more than usual
And there was me thinking it was all caused by the jabs 😱

Anyway I have a further appointment with the surgical team in November as I might have to have an op. I am staying positive because if not dealt with the condition can lead to osteoporosis and kidney stones (already had treatment for them) Had a bone scan thos week.
And I also have an appointment in December with an NHS back pain specialist
It's jab day today and I am still not hungry.
Today I have eaten
B 1 small slice of buttered sourdough bread
L homemade leek and potato soup with bacon bits
Probably a small omelette for dinner.
Going to go down to 7.5 from a 10 pen today and see how it goes.

Blondeshavemorefun · 26/10/2025 17:10

Oh no @Azuresky68. Sorry to hear that but good have diagnosis so can get the right help

We are going to Muir of Ord, physio is encouraging me to have one day getting out and doing some light walking and one day of being knackered to build some stamina before surgery. It’s Inverness in autumn, it’s hopefully going to be beautiful!

https://bolfoods.com/collections/power-soups I particularly like the butternut squash, but they are so nice and don’t feel too salty or crappy.

I was in Inverness for the last 3 days! Fantastic!

Azuresky68 · 28/10/2025 10:53

Happy Tuesday everyone. Like a few of us in this group I am on the maintenance thread now but I will still check in here, although it's gone very quiet these days. Understandable of course as people have busy lives. This group is amazing and hopefully it won't disappear altogether...hoping people still check in with their progress and how they are doing in life.
We have shared so much in the group...not just about our weight loss either! Sending hugs and best wishes to everyone ❤️

Blondeshavemorefun · 28/10/2025 13:38

I hope it doesn’t go totally quiet as still those who want to lose weight but also so many of us maintaining or trying to

Same thoughts as you Blondes and I will definitely check in here regularly 👍 there's just more chat on the other thread about maintenance at the moment.

FurForksSake · 28/10/2025 18:59

I’ll also still be here! I like having a gang who are all old timers :)

Oh dear...jabbed 7.5 on Sunday and for the first time in months I have got food noise...very scary as I can't afford to stay on 10

FurForksSake · 29/10/2025 06:45

Morning @Azuresky68 that sounds a bit disheartening. I’ve had the odd week out of nowhere where I’ve felt like I’ve injected water. You can do this, go back to basics of fibre and protein goals, eat mindfully and think about volume. It’s just noise and doesn’t have to be acted upon and it will pass. Hopefully it won’t last long!

Azuresky68 · 29/10/2025 07:24

@FurForksSake many thanks for reassurance...just panicking about going down to lower strengths. Trying not to weigh too often either as daily weight fluctuations gets me down.
To think that my original goal was 9 stone and I got down to 8 st 5. But a lot of size 8 tops and jackets are too big 😱
Are you still on holiday and how are you?
Is your operation soon?
Even though this thread is very quiet it's still my safest place to share stuff ☺️

FurForksSake · 29/10/2025 07:35

We are indeed on holiday. I’m struggling a bit as it’s somewhere we’ve been before and I can do very, very little. We went on the mountain railways in the Cairngorms yesterday, ds2 (10), helped me off the train at the bottom and someone was so quick to come over and tell him how good he was for helping etc and it made me feel really sad! I’m still struggling with it a bit now, that my kids are becoming young carers at the moment.

two and a half weeks till surgery. I’m really worried about going back to work in the new year as over this period my back has got a lot worse and the hip surgery is only going to deal with part of my pain. I’m hoping it will allow me to do some more exercise and physio and things will improve altogether. I’m also not ready for Christmas and likely to be on crutches until Christmas and that’s a bit scary!

Today I’m thinking we’ll go for a little walk around urqhart castle and then maybe into Inverness for cake.

there has been cake most if not every day. The scales will be up when I get back, but hopefully I can recover it quickly enough. That’s the trick, isn’t it? Getting back into the good habits as quickly as possible.

Azuresky68 · 29/10/2025 08:11

@FurForksSake so sorry about your pain and worry. I am sure you will have balanced out the cake with eating less at meals. For some reason now I am maintaining I crave sweet stuff more..so sone days I allow myself to use extra.maintenance calories on 'naughty' things..yesterday it was my favourite chocolate bar. In the past on a down day I would eat 2 big bars of chocolate ..I have barely eaten chocolate since being on the jabs. I also love cake and couldn't go out for a coffee without cake. I tend to have a scone these days for a treat. Ice cream is another love but restricted myself to one ice cream on my last holiday. I felt that at least I had one so why bother eating another. This didnt apply to cocktails or wine though 😅
Your children love you and will grow up with compassion and kindness, but I understand your struggles.
Hopefully the op will help with your hip and back as from what I understand the two things go hand in hand. My friend had a hip op and being able to move more has really helped with her back pain.
Really hope you have a good day today and thinking of you 🤗
