We have all been on for over a year now

Last month the year before , we gathered our courage and started what would be a memorable journey for us all - made some hopefully forever friends

Gather round my little auggies 😍 and we are all doing amazingly so be proud of yourselves

The amount of weight per person lost varies from 1-2stone - 3-4 - 5-6 - 7+
in a year

We are amazing !!!

All of us have totally changed our body shape - reduced our bmi and weight and hopefully improved our health

Some are at goal - and working out how to maintain - some nearing it
And some still have weight they want to lose

We are still here cheering you on till you get to your happy weight so please do carry on posting

Some have stopped for cost - esp after the aug announcements - still so thankful we started it when we did

Imagine Aug 25 and being told 2/3w later prices were increasing lots - I def couldn’t have managed a year of mj at new sept prices esp as doses didn’t really effect me even 15 !

Blowing baby dust your way to those who are ttc

ALL of us have lost weight and I love the fact we are all so supportive to each other over weight and our general day to day lives

This year will almost be harder. To keep the weight off Esp if reducing dose or off completely

It’s hard to be consistent and on it for so long, the pause probably did you good. 100lbs is awesome!

morbidcuriosity · 10/10/2025 09:58

@Motnight yay for the 100lb. That's amazing, it's over 7 stones.. I couldn't believe it when I got there. Feels good! How much more do you want to lose?

Motnight · 10/10/2025 10:01

@morbidcuriosity I think that I need to lose another 30 lbs or so. For the first time really I can see that as achievable. I think that it will take me the best part of 9 months. And that's ok.

Blondeshavemorefun · 10/10/2025 10:40

100 lb in weight that’s amazing well done

I guess it may be disheartening sometimes as many of us are now at goal but keep posting and we will keep supporting.

We still need to make sure we keep the weight off forever

WWJ and I’ve lost 1 pound again. It seems to be the same bloody one or 2 lb that I lose

and then try and eat chocolate again and gain it back

though last night I had a wispa bar

it was bloody delicious and I still lost weight

but I don’t want to lose anymore. This is not the way I want to be.

Blondes do you have a window that you want to be in? It does sound frustrating that the weight is keeping going when you don’t want it to.

morbidcuriosity · 10/10/2025 11:10

@Motnight 9 months for 30lb sounds sensible and achievable, it gets harder the lower you are. I can't seem to shift any more, first hit 11 stone in Sept and still 11 stone now, it goes up and down the same few lb, I'm happy maintaining at 11, but I want 11 to be the highest point so kinda want another 6 or 7lb off.
@Blondeshavemorefunwhat does that make your BMI now? I know it's rubbish but interesting. The fact you've come down the strengths and still losing gives me some hope I want go the other way and gain.

Blondeshavemorefun · 10/10/2025 12:01

I’m still tracking calories every day @morbidcuriosity. Allowed 1840

i do struggle to eat all every day unless add now a 200c protein shake or chocolate which isn’t really that healthy is it as I still have a daily packet of crisps as that’s my thing !!

my goal was

11s which would be bmi 24.1

leeway was going to be 10.10-11 so 23.5

I got to 10.10 on ww years ago and looked Gaunt so didn’t want to be Lower

11.5 tech makes me overweight again at 24.9 if I put on an oz

10.7 which is bmi 23 which I got to before holiday without Trying to lose weight and eating another 600c a day

so thought wasn’t a bad thing to have 7lbs leeway - that was aug so 2mths ago - incase I gained / as every year I have gained 7/10lb

this heat for the first time every I didn’t gain weight on a 2w holiday and came home 10.7

and then seem to wobble between 10-4 and 10.7 which is only 3lbs diff and I know not a huge thing - esp as I am

since then so the last 6/8w I keep dropping a lb here and then gain a lb if I try really hard to eat/bump c up to 1800 every day - but the next week I’m back to losing it again and back to 7s loss unless I eat badly and gain that lb again

I’m 10.4 so lost exactly 7s and bmi is 22.6 today

sorry that’s as a bit of a waffle so bmi between 22.6 and 23

I’ve stopped marking it on the chart now as it’s up /down the same lbs so I think as long as I am between 10.4 and 10.7 I’m maintaining and be happy

does that make sense

but I’m happy to go back and gain another 3 on top of that to 10.10

I know you didn't intend to be this low @Blondeshavemorefun but it seems to me that you're doing the right things. You are coming down the doses slowly, you are monitoring your calories, your are weighing regularly. All of that bodes well for a time when (if) you feel hungrier. Your crisps are a regular treat and within your calories, the wispa was something occasional. You've had a year of practicec at working out which meals suit your lifestyle, your shift pattern, your palate - that is a good lot of learning. I hope you feel really confident about the future, even if your MJ dose is much lower.

I am just pretty stable - which I guess is what maintenance is about. It's not exciting and sometimes I need to remind myself that 'this' (this lower healthy stable weight) is what I wanted.

morbidcuriosity · 10/10/2025 15:24

Blondes, when you got to 10.10 last time and looked gaunt as you say.. how do you feel your looking at 10.4 now? I'm worried if I lose another half stone I'm gonna look shit.. I think I'm starting to look a bit wrinkly round the neck etc, but am trying to build strength along side this..

I've had a hungry day today and think I've managed to eat my maintenence calories already and still got dinner to go, oh well, ill have a less calorie weekend I think, get back on it as it were..

Blondeshavemorefun · 10/10/2025 15:42

Def didn’t want to be this low @20bloodypounds and am worried that when I’m off for good that the weight will creep on as I am def much hungrier on 7.5 then 15 tho still struggle to eat 1800 some days

@owlybooI need to find a way to get my steps back in without the dog now. Need a new pattern still. My daughter is working full time in a supermarket now - in 3 days over last weekend she did 85000 steps so I feel ashamed 😆

Blondeshavemorefun · 10/10/2025 20:27

Almost Half my days calories 800 out of 1800 but as I’m struggling to eat them thought would treat myself - OMFG. The best Mac cheese I have ever had !! Was amazing

That does look amazing. I always like white bread and butter with it, just to really ramp up the carbs 😆

I might buy one and have it on boring pasta night (Thursday).

I need to find a really good pre made cauliflower cheese too 🥰

Blondeshavemorefun · 10/10/2025 21:01

Thanks @Blondeshavemorefun

well done @Motnightheres to the next 30!

@PoemsForTeamy dog is really old so can’t go for long walks so I do them all alone. Do you listen to podcasts? That works wonders for me. I love a good 5/6 so I listen to them whilst out and about and gives me some me time!

@FurForksSakethe Asda premium one is lovely but always sold out (cauliflower cheese I mean) it has breadcrumbs and things on. Yummy. It’s not in the ready meal aisle is in the veg aisle but it’s always empty 😭

morbidcuriosity · 11/10/2025 06:24

The cathedral city mac and cheese is amazing, so I guess the cauliflower cheese might be good too... its in the frozen section.

WitchDancer · 11/10/2025 08:54

Morning all
It’s wonderful to hear everyone is doing well, even though there are struggles there too.

It’s been 3 months since I came off MJ and I’ve put a stone back on. I’m surprised it hasn’t been more as I haven’t been careful and have eaten what I fancied. I know I need to do something about it now so I’m going to make a conscious effort to eat healthy now and see what happens. If I can’t do this myself then I’m going to have to see if I can squeeze my budget to go back on MJ, but it definitely won’t be until around February as I’ve got to pay my mum back and my credit card off and then fund Christmas.

I did buy myself an omelette maker from Morrisons, which is a bit like a sandwich toaster, and is great for doing a really quick and easy lunch. It was really cheap too Grin. Definitely something I’ll use a lot.

Onwards and downwards we go!

WorriedRelative · 11/10/2025 09:01

Got a bmi of under 24 today for the first time, so close to my goal of 23 now! Not sure the waist to hip ratio will ever get there, perhaps my shape is just fundamentally unhealthy.

Suspect I will be back up a bit tomorrow as yesterday was a bit of a weird day and I hardly ate anything.

Holiday monday, going to jab before I go and click count for 12.5mg as the surpression is a bit much on 15mg and I want to enjoy some food!

Had to buy a new bikini and new shorts as the ones I bought last year are too big!

Need to dust off the sewing machine and alter a few things too.

FurForksSake · 11/10/2025 09:42

Morning all!

@WitchDancer I imagine if you tighten things up it will come off quickly, or at least stabilise.

@WorriedRelative well done!!

morbidcuriosity · 11/10/2025 10:17

@WitchDancerI've got an omelette maker, the small round one with 2 halves in it.. I love it, quick and easy and just wipes clean.. I usually do a bit of cheese and tomato in mine, sometimes onion and pepper..
