We have all been on for over a year now

Last month the year before , we gathered our courage and started what would be a memorable journey for us all - made some hopefully forever friends

Gather round my little auggies 😍 and we are all doing amazingly so be proud of yourselves

The amount of weight per person lost varies from 1-2stone - 3-4 - 5-6 - 7+
in a year

We are amazing !!!

All of us have totally changed our body shape - reduced our bmi and weight and hopefully improved our health

Some are at goal - and working out how to maintain - some nearing it
And some still have weight they want to lose

We are still here cheering you on till you get to your happy weight so please do carry on posting

Some have stopped for cost - esp after the aug announcements - still so thankful we started it when we did

Imagine Aug 25 and being told 2/3w later prices were increasing lots - I def couldn’t have managed a year of mj at new sept prices esp as doses didn’t really effect me even 15 !

Blowing baby dust your way to those who are ttc

ALL of us have lost weight and I love the fact we are all so supportive to each other over weight and our general day to day lives

This year will almost be harder. To keep the weight off Esp if reducing dose or off completely

@Blondeshavemorefun yeah I went below my original target weight so have the low bmi as on 5mg im maintaining even though Im eating loads of rubbish again.

Blondeshavemorefun · 11/09/2025 15:02

@WitchDancer we have both list a husband weight which is never coming back

meal plan and calorie count. Less goes in. Weight will come off 💐

@doingitthistime how much more do you want to lose ideally /what is your bmi

i keep saying it but so thankful we did it last year

I think many of us will microdose - I will with my 10 pen and use as a 5 🙀🙀🙄🙄😛😛

@FurForksSake sorry for the gain but you know it will be off next week. It was one meal out of 21

@poppym12 well done for being under your goal 🌟 and yes we have to have treats

I had a tube of smarties last night

@BettyandtheVets glad 15 has helped
you shift pounds

and I was the same on holiday. Sts. Never happened before

@Weepixie it’s fine to have odd treats or really is no point living and hope counselling goes well

I found counselling a huge help after dh1 died

@Ithinkimrincewind it’s great you are maintaining

Just an FYI..

Oushk don't seem to care I don't think now the pens are more money.
I'm on maintenence BMI 22.1 have used 3 maintenence codes with them for 10mg, my last pen with them was 7.5mg to come down the pens.. but I had some money so thought in the sale that wasn't really a sale I would try a 12.5mg pen, and they have approved and shipped apparently.
So I think as long as you spending money they don't seem to mind what you do..

These pens will see me into next year now, so I only have to worry about the fridge breaking now, not being in for deliveries..

BettyandtheVets · 11/09/2025 15:16

@morbidcuriosity a lot of contents insurance policies cover contents of fridge if it breaks down, so keep your MJ prescriptions to prove in case it does happen (hopefully it won’t!)

Thinking back to my insurance days some only cover freezers, and some no more than about £250 though.

tbh it’s made me think at renewal I’ll check whether it’s covered and for how much. With 2 pens it’s about £600 value there now!!

poppym12 · 11/09/2025 16:56

I hope you enjoy your half a croissant @Weepixie. I'd be interested to hear what your son in law thinks about the craving something sweet after such a long time.

I hope your counselling goes ok.

Weepixie · 11/09/2025 16:58

@Blondeshavemorefun I honestly thought my counselling days were over but there’s been a few things recently that need revisited because to quite an extent I’m a new me. It’s all part of what I call my ‘whole person’ approach to my weight loss which is also why if I don’t ever want to go back on medication for prediabetes, or end up diabetic so I can’t really go forward with the mindset ‘it’s fine to have odd treats or really is no point living’. I could quite literally be cutting my life short if I do. Once you’ve had the obesity related health issues and you manage to clear them up and get off medication it’s way easier to get them again a second time even as a slimmer person. I’ll never do that to myself ever again.

poppym12 · 11/09/2025 16:59

Thanks @Blondeshavemorefun. I haven't eaten much today so there may be another treat tonight. I've spent all afternoon trying on clothes and am now in a stinking mood. I thought I'd feel more comfortable now I'm 3 or 4 dress sizes smaller but everything seems to make me look bigger than I am (I've always preferred loose fitting clothes).

Blondeshavemorefun · 11/09/2025 17:09

I hope I will never get fat again. But I said this after I lost 4s on ww 20yrs + ago

not only did I put on the 4st but also another 2 😳😳

tho have lost nearly 7. I am less weight now that I was in 2000 by 5/6lbs

maybe you need to wear more slim fitting clothes now @poppym12 as you have lost weight

playing the devils advocate here. Maybe you always wore bigger to hide

and now loose will make you look bigger

doingitthistime · 11/09/2025 17:20

@Blondeshavemorefun My BMI is currently 23.2, weight 9st 4.5, ideally would love to lose that last 4.5lb but am a very slow loser so that would take me a couple of months and I'm keeping most of my stash for my son so only have one 15 pen to use. In my youth I was 8st 7 for many years but at 64 I think that would be too low now, but would love to see 8st 13 even if only for a second or two 😆. So I'm lowering the dose, counting the calories (1000 a day to lose) and ignoring the rumbling tummy.

Azuresky68 · 11/09/2025 17:21

@Weepixie you have a great approach and insight 👍 hope the counselling helps to resolve issues.
By the way I love almond croissants, Danish pastries with Custard inside, icing and a cherry on top, pecan danish pastries and also Cinnamon Swirls. As far as cakes go I love a good carrot cake. Not all carrot cakes are equal though..believe you me I have tested plenty. The same with Victoria sponges. I am not tempted by lemon drizzle or chocolate cake though 😅😅😅

Azuresky68 · 11/09/2025 17:22

Great to here from lots of people today 😀

morbidcuriosity · 11/09/2025 17:23

@BettyandtheVets I'll have to have a look at my insurance see what fridge situation the cover is for. Not even sure when my renewal is, I should probably look and find out.

Azuresky68 · 11/09/2025 17:37

@WitchDancer good luck keeping the weight off. It's a lifelong battle for a lot of us. Agree with Blondes that calorie counting/food tracking is the way to go. I don't want to go it alone without MJ after all the investment and hard work. Hoping when my pens run out end of December that I will be OK on 5 mg. Currently spacing my jabs out and will end up microdosing like Blondes...5 mg from a 10 mg pen. I never prime my pen either. Maybe my pens will last longer than end of December 🤞

Azuresky68 · 11/09/2025 17:40

@poppym12 I like to wear slim fitting clothes after years of hiding my body.
Have you tried a change of style yet? You might love it ❤️

poppym12 · 11/09/2025 18:23

Thanks @Blondeshavemorefunand @Azuresky68. I'll maybe try on some closer fitting clothes next time I can get to a shopping centre. I've always preferred loose clothes, even before I got fat. My sister always thought I had body dismorphia but I hate the feeling of tight fitting clothing on my skin - I can't even tolerate a crew neck t-shirt! Anything touching my neck, armpits or knees sends me into a mini meltdown. I'm much happier in summer with shorts and a vest top - well I was until I had to smother myself in chemo cream.

I'm sure I must sound like a complete nut case. I'm not. Honest 😁.

I've got a pair of wide leg trousers and a short sleeve linen shirt which will have to do for the party at the weekend. I feel as big as a house in them but I'm trying to remember that I don't look like I would if I hadn't lost 5.5 stone.

@poppym12 I’ll get back to you over the next few days.

Re the counselling. I’ve booked another two sessions. It’s not going to take long to sort out, I just wanted it sorted before I come if Mounjaro.

I'm sure I must sound like a complete nut case. I'm not. Honest

No you don’t sound like a complete nutcase. You sound like someone with sensory issues.

And the party - please try to enjoy it.

@WitchDancer - you mentioned snacking at night has caused some weight gain and I’m wondering if keeping your hands and brain busy by knitting or doing cross stitch or the likes would help. I only ask because it’s helping me, I knew I’d have to keep busy going forward and for the last few months I’ve been knitting hats for the prem baby unit in our local hospital. I’ve also been knitting small doll things called an Izzy doll that I drop into the paediatric cancer unit near me. Granted you may already be a fabulous knitter but I’m not and I have to really concentrate when I’m doing it which is why I mention keeping my brain busy. The above is one of the things I have in my arsenal to try and help keep my weight off in future.

poppym12 · 11/09/2025 21:00

Sounds positive @Weepixie 🌺

Yes! Sensory issues - I didn't know my oddness had a name.

Azuresky68 · 11/09/2025 21:11

@poppym12 the wide leg trousers and shirt sound lovely 😍

poppym12 · 11/09/2025 21:19

Thanks @Azuresky68. The trousers are a bit big but they'll do!

FurForksSake · 11/09/2025 21:40

Do people sometimes find doses are a bit crap? I injected yesterday and I’ve had food noises and no suppression today on what should be my best day surely? It’s going to be a long week!

WitchDancer · 11/09/2025 21:41

@WeepixieI both knit and crochet, leaning more towards crochet, so that’s a really good suggestion thank you.

Yes. I think the body gets used to it

morbidcuriosity · 11/09/2025 22:36

@FurForksSake yes. I was worried when starting to maintain on 10mg that it was getting less.. but this week has vamped up again..
This drug is so unpredictable. I have a 12.5 coming tomorrow that I'm now gonna save for half dose later on..

Timetochange24 · 11/09/2025 23:02

I'm still here too. Just wading through some 💩 at work and home. From one extreme to the other, I'm not comfort eating, stress has completely turned off what was left of my appetite.

Timetofindme · 12/09/2025 06:09

Im still here plodding away. My weight loss has been steady - ive had surgery which definitely slowed and disrupted things for me so my weight loss in a year is much less than most of yours, but there's no way I'd have lost this without the MJ so I dont care! Probably why I lurk in the background rather than actively posting through.

Do pharmulous let you pick a selected day for postage? It's one of the things I like about oushk and dislike about curate (I've been bouncing between the 2 to keep my options open but with the price rises...)

I also don't think they're going to give a hoot that we're all annoyed about the extra dose going. They'll say the pen was only ever intended for 4 doses, and we're still getting 4 doses. Sucks but they're not going to care!
