Honestly I’m quite on it with the protein stuff as have been lifting weights for a few years now etc. However most protein shakes etc I don’t like. Sometimes I’ll have a clear one as they are a bit more palatable but most not great. Coupled with a close friend is a cancer nurse and she is very against all the protein shake usage so I try to only use a few occasionally, I definitely wouldn’t be having one every day.
But I do think I need to focus on my water again as I’ve probably slipped down abit I reckon now it’s cold.
It’s weird suddenly being able to eat more though rather than the early days. Lots more willpower having to be used currently which I guess is good practice for when maintenance happens (eventually 🙄😂).

Not really, I have one a day with some collagen. Never found it hurt weight loss, never even heard that before! Usually it’s a good little aid to help with the ahem 💩 😂

@LaGioiosanotLeviosaI dropped my one coffee a day lately, to none. This effect has been discussed a few years ago due to coffee raising insuline levels. It is a known effect amongst diabetics.

Week 14 and first plateau!!

i know why. i just didn't want to drink last week, at all, barely scraped about a litre a day when i normally hit 3! but today i am back on track with water, so i don't know what was wrong with my brain last week!

Weigh in day and I only lost 0.6 this week but in other news I had my annual blood sugar check and I’m no longer pre-diabetic. Not 100% sure that is entirely down to weight loss though and suspect it will creep back up when I’m no longer taking the monjaro as it is a diabetes medication after all. But I’ll take the win for now at least!
I’m also finding it hard to keep up the water intake now it’s got colder. I just want vats of hot tea!

I agree about the water, definitely having to keep on top of it. I’m using an app to track my intake 😳.

Goal weight is definitely flexible, I feel like I will know when I know. I feel much more confident in myself heading into the festive season and much more in control.

Checking in after DIY frenzy (waves at @sfraxx - been restoring water damaged kitchen island, endless bloody sanding and filling and drywall mud and more sanding, finally got the primer on yesterday and now need to caulk and do the fun painting bit. My back and shoulders are very achy and tired).

SW 195 pounds
CW 166 pounds
GW 130 pounds but I also have a mini GW of 140 pounds or ten stone.

am on 7.5 mg now, which is going great, and have changed shot day from Monday to Wednesday. This is because I’m planning to skip two days for Christmas so suppression fades and I can enjoy eating and drinking on Christmas Eve (Wednesday) and Christmas Day (Thursday) and then inject Boxing Day (Friday). Normally suppression is at its height the second, third and fourth day after the shot.

Very jealous of everyone doing fancy Christmas events.

I had a major blunder with injection site. I read somewhere that going above the belly button was great for suppression and less side effects but to stay 2inch away from the belly button. I was a bit distracted with my husband in the kitchen while doing injection and we were talking away as I was doing it. Cleaned above measured 2 inches and then stuck the pen in looked back and I was about 1inch away🤦🏽‍♀️ I read that I may not have any suppression due to this but my god. I have had the most suppression I’ve ever had, to the point I am struggling to drink water. I’ve actually switched from water to lucozade sport at the moment to enhanced hydration. I can barely managed a 500ml bottle in 4 hours. Lesson learned to pay full attention next time, but on the plus side, hoping for a good loss lol!

Official weigh day today after Mondays freak out. I’ve lost 0.5lb this week so although not brilliant it’s better than a gain!
I know I will need to move up to 10 in the new year but have decided to just suck up the next 7.5 pen over Christmas, enjoy a drink or two and not worry if I don’t lose much over this time.
Reminding myself that normally in December I would gain a few pounds so if I just stay the same I should be pleased.
Anyway, onwards into a new week!

Just done another 7.5mg jab and new pen coming at some point today. Decided to stick with 7.5mg. Suppression is OK, wanes a little towards the end of the week but I can cope with this. Family arriving on Sunday and meal booked for Wed night which will be tricky but will drive so I don't have to drink. Im taking a what will be will be approach to next week's weigh in.

Any suggestions for constipation? It's been a week and a half since I've gone!

felt really sicky since Monday injection day. I managed more fluids yesterday. I managed to eat a little more yesterday, still not a lot but more than the last few days. Still getting about my day and work though it’s not holding me down too much, just as I had 0 side effects the last 3 weeks to this. Hoping for a good result on Monday weigh in lol x

I've just moved up to 7.5mg today. Hoping that does this trick and kick starts weight loss again as it'd really stalled after a second month on 5mg.

I've been struggling with willpower to resist all of the Christmas treats at work this week. I haven't had a lot of suppression and good noise is creeping back some days.

Is anyone changing their dose or altering injection day around Christmas to change supression levels?

6.3lbs to go until first goal, although. We’re going out for a family meal to the Chinese buffet tonight and then the drive in Christmas movie, I am looking forward to it and just going to refrain from weighing myself until next week as with salt etc I will have a gain.

but it’s Christmas and I can’t miss out in case I gain 2lbs🤷🏼‍♀️

Morning all! Well done for keeping going, some amazing losses.

I've stalled again, but looking at my graph was surprised to see I'm on week 11 of 5mg. Didn't think it was that many weeks since I'd gone up a dose, so not surprising I've stalled. Loss over that 11 weeks has been steady (but slow) till last week or so when it has stopped.

Jab day isn't till Weds but I've done an extra 1.25mg today to top up, then will try 6.25mg on Weds as a step up to 7.5mg (am using a 7.5mg pen at the mo). Or maybe just go straight to 7.5mg, hmm.

I'm not lowering the dose for Xmas - I'm usually fine eating what everyone else is eating, just less of it, which should hopefully work. And certainly don't have trouble drinking alcohol, unless it's something very gassy!

NSV: went to the neighbourhood potluck, and some of my women neighbours noticed I’d lost weight (almost 30lb) and first gently checked if it was for intentional and positive reasons - and then were really happy for me. Comments along the lines of “great to get back to feeling like your old self again! Have noticed you heading out to the gym and walking around!”

Really nice to have such supportive friendly neighbours.

one of them has now joined me in working out at our local gym!

Well done to everyone on their losses. Ive now come to the end of my Mounjaro journey, I tapered down to 2.5 and am now stopping completely as the constant nausea is getting to be too much for me.

However, I'm only 2lb off my goal weight having lost nearly 2 and a half stone and 2 dress sizes!! I now have a healthy bmi and am no longer obese (I'm short). I feel great and I will continue with the calorie counting to keep me on track and the increased exercise. Despite the side effects this has been such an amazing tool to get me to where I need to be. Have a great Christmas everyone! 🎄

Late weigh in for me due to being away for girlie weekend - champagne, takeaways, pizza, more champagne, Xmas lunch at Harvey nicks, etc…

Weighed this morning and I’ve lost 1lb 😂

No idea how but I’m not complaining - just need to keep that off for the rest of this week.

W17 for me. (Hope it’s ok to rejoin, was on in August and dropped off due to work!).

Done 4 doses on 7.5 (did 9 weeks on 2.5, 4 weeks on 5, 4 weeks on 7.5) and not sure what pen to order (will do ‘golden dose’ this coming Sunday). Thinking to stay on 7.5. I am more hungry than I was at the beginning and weight loss has slowed, but I think being a bit hungry is not a terrible idea. I have ‘only’ lost 1.5 kilos in the 3 weeks on 7.5 so far but I’ve also not been exercising as I got that horrible lurgy a few weeks ago and was out for the count for a while. I don’t seem to have lost much, if any, muscle. I’ve lost 1.5 dress sizes and trying not to buy any clothes as figure I’ve got another size to go although it’s getting challenging to put work outfits together!

I am very lucky with side effects I think. Had pretty much no nausea, a little bit of burping but nothing to write home about. Constipation manageable with eating sensibly (overnight oats w chia and flax seeds work wonders!).

Interesting side effect is my skin is much better - used to be have definite redness in my face but it’s gone down dramatically. I assume a reduced level of inflammation. More energy but that’s probably the weight loss.

I’m so glad I’m doing this. Thank you for all continuing to share, I’ve been reading along and enjoying your stories!
