Stupid constipation is up again, lost 1lb last week but I am sure there is more as I have the typical pressure and cramps. So off to take Dulcolax tonight.

Tried something new for breakfast, a Mascarpone Chaffle, basically a waffle with just eggs, Mascarpone and some flour.
Needs some sweeting so used it with some jam, but a nice change from the greek yoghurt and better than a slice of toast.

I decided to take the 5mg dose. I took it on Thursday afternoon. I feel ok so far. A bit of nausea but it’s not too bad. I think I’ve got more suppression of appetite than I had on the 2.5mg dose.

I still haven’t kicked my fizzy drink addiction yet though. I really hoped the MJ would make me stop craving a can of pop!

NeedSleepNow · 27/09/2025 12:07

W10 D1 today for me, I've upped my dose to 3.75mg and next week I'll go up to 5mg. I did the jab late last night and feeling OK so far, no side effects other than very thirsty again and not felt hungry at all today.

I lost 1 stone when using my first 2.5mg pen and only 4lb over the following 5 weeks so it was definitely time to increase the dose. I had innitialy hoped to have slow steady progress of 1-2lbs a week but with the prices having gone up I now think I just need to lose the weight quicker as I don't think I'll be able to afford these prices for long.

Hello folks - well done on your continued progress and maintaining effort.
Week 8 for me on 5mg dose, not planning to increase as seem to be losing 1.3kg every week consistently. Ordered next 5mg pen, was £200!! from Asda which feels painful but just going to economise elsewhere as don't want to stop now. Have lost 1.7 stones overall.
Starting weight: 102kg
Current weight: 91.2kg
Target weight: 76.5kg (was 90kg but decided to aim for "healthy weight" now not just "overweight")
All the best everyone xx

Good evening guys, well first week off MJ and I’ve maintained at 11st5lbs. My scales haven’t even moved up or down by 1 ounce. To be fair, the food noise is horrendous so I’m having to have so much will power but I am not eating any different to when I was on MJ yet not losing. Weigh day isn’t until Monday though so maybe over the weekend but I doubt it, we’re away to the caravan as it’s September break for the school so with food noise and lots of fast food, I hope I can be good lol. I plan to be.

I have no gallstones and bloods okay, but after an endoscopy my stomach is extremely inflamed and they’ve taken samples. I already had acid reflux but when on MJ I did suffer 10x worse, must just have counteracted with it.
now I’ve got the all clear for gallstones. I’m going to pop back into pharmacy next week, my medication has been up from 1 to 4 tablets per day so maybe this could help? Who knows. I can only ask, I won’t do anything that’ll potentially make me unwell. But I’m hoping I get the ok to start again as it’s a great feeling seeing the scales coming down. I’ve went down a whole dress size in 4 weeks on MJ. Xx

Glad you are ok and hope you keep well xx

Hi! Can I ask those who have stayed on 2.5 for their second pen- do you wish you had gone up? Or was it still as effective?

I'm on week 3 of my 1st 2.5 pen, and I ordered a 5mg before the price increase, but I'm wondering whether to stay on the 2.5mg for another month. I've seen a few people say they've got to week 5/6 and felt like they've needed to go up, so wanted to gauge opinions first. So far, I'm about 12lb down in 3.5 weeks, so it's more than doing the trick so far, but it hasn't got rid of the sugar cravings for me.

Wish I had gone up in hindsight. I feel like I’ve wasted money as I haven’t really noticed any difference this month in suppression and my weight hasn’t moved. I’ve just ordered 5mg x

KickAss25 · 27/09/2025 23:24

Has anyone had a missed delivery of MJ on a Sat so that it couldn’t be collected until
the following Monday? I’m concerned it won’t still be cold. I know it’s be ok for 30 days but I’m now away for 2 wks so I’ll have lost half of it by the time I return. (There were 2 people in the house when delivery was attempted so Royal Mail couldn’t have made much of an effort to try to deliver!) at nearly £200 for the pen, I’m not very happy…

NeedSleepNow · 28/09/2025 10:09

@MrsSuu i feel the same way, that I wasted a lot of money on a second month of 2.5mg when I should have moved up dose. My scales hadn't moved for the last 3 weeks but today (after moving up dose on Friday) I have finally lost a pound. Hoping to lose another pound or two by the time I get to my proper weigh in at the end of the week

I think they say it should stay cold for 48 hours so if it was dispatched on Friday that takes you to tomorrow. I would probably see how cold it is when you get it and maybe ask your provider for advice. Do you have a pen in the fridge at the moment that you are using? If you have you could start using the new one when you pick it up, using it within 30 days, and then go back to using your current one from the fridge? May not work if they are different doses though

MrJollyLivesNextDoor · 28/09/2025 13:36

Hi everyone

W8 Day 1
Weigh-in day: 2lb lost last week. I seem to have intermittent suppression, some days it’s really strong others I could easily eat a whole tub of quality street.
Still on 2.5 so will stay at that for now and see what happens. I stocked up before the price rise and have 2.5 and 5 pens so might do a 3 or 3.75 soon, we’ll see.

If I decide to stay on 2.5 I will eke out a 5 pen past the 30day advisory, I like living dangerously 😄

I’ve lost almost 1.5 stone, just another 3 to go! 😐

If I lose 2lb per week I will be around 11:10 for Christmas which would be so unbelievably fabulous. I have a knitted christmas dress that I’ve never worn but could never bear to part with, which will be wearable at that weight 🤞

Even 1lb per week would put me around 12:8 which I would also be happy with! 🎄

NeedSleepNow · 28/09/2025 15:57

I went upto 3.75mg two days ago and I've noticed more suppression but the big thing is that I'm fuller much quicker. Yesterday for lunch I had 2 eggs, 1/2 an avocado & a piece of wholemeal toast and felt so full & sick after and couldn't manage any dinner. Today I've made sure I had a small breakfast (had some greek yoghurt, seeds & fruit), I didn't feel like eating lunch and will then have some chicken & veg for dinner. Hoping after a day or two I manage three small meals a day.

Next week I plan to up my dose to 5mg and hopefully my weight loss will start properly again after stalling for a few weeks

Hi all. Glad I’ve found you. I’m late to the party but I started on the 1st August.

I have had a bit of a hard time weight wise over the last decade. The last time I was a healthy weight was in 2014, but things got really out of control in early 2016 when I slipped a disc in my back and struggled to exercise but as well as that the pain and lack of movement and my whole life changing in a heartbeat meant I gained a lot of weight and I was around the 15/16 stone mark. My first pregnancy was in lockdown and that saw my weight soar again and by the time I gave birth at the end of 2020 I was 17 and a half stone and huge.

I lost a lot of weight after having DS and my wedding in 2022 kept me in check but then the gruelling regime of work and toddler meant it went on. Then I got pregnant again. Similar pattern: lost a lot of weight after having DD in summer 23 but went back to work the following September (24, not 23!) and gained it.

I feel like all of last academic year was just me trying and failing to lose weight. Then a colleague recommended Mounjaro and I’m actually happy for the first time in ages. I’ve lost nearly two and a half stone going from 15 and a half to just over 13; 13.2 as of yesterday.

I want to get down to 10. Currently on 5 mg but have 7.5 in the fridge ready to go!

Welcome @Pigeonenglish, we are a friendly bunch.

2.5st in under two months is phenomenal. I’m hoping to hit 1.5st this week!

NeedSleepNow · 29/09/2025 06:00

@Pigeonenglish welcome, that's a great loss in that timescale 🙂

Nachoinseachthu · 29/09/2025 06:55

Welcome @Pigeonenglish , hi everyone.

I’m becoming more and more convinced I need to step up from 2.5mg. Weight loss has stalled, and bad habits are creeping back in. I’m a stone down from starting in the first week of August, but haven’t lost any weight for three weeks!

I know I do need to address my diet, and develop healthier habits.

RoseHedgehogs · 29/09/2025 09:36

Morning all! It’s great to read how well everyone is doing and sending positivity your way those who are struggling.
Im on week 8 and have hit 1st 7lbs loss which I’m really pleased with. I am sticking on 2.5 for now but I do also need to up the exercise.

Bluefloor · 29/09/2025 10:42

It’s lovely to read about everyone’s losses. I’ve been ill for the past few days so I didn’t take my shot on Saturday morning as usual. I feel much better this morning and have now taken my usual dose. I do hope this won’t have any negative effects on my weight loss.

twilightcafe · 29/09/2025 10:59

8 pounds and 1 dress size down since the end of August!

I'm happy with slow and steady. As long as the scale numbers and dress sizes keep going down, this is fine by me.

I am sticking with 2.5 for the second month. I've had no major side effects (bit of constipation but extra fibre and magnesium has sorted that).

RedPony1 · 29/09/2025 16:41

Afternoon all!!

5th weigh in this morning and another -2 gone :)

Total loss so far = -1st 3.5lb

Welcome to the newbies and well done everyone!!

Jean74 · 29/09/2025 17:11

Hello @Pigeonenglish welcome to the chat. I've found it really supportive here. Well done on your weight loss x

LnicMJ · 29/09/2025 18:16

Week 6 weigh in -1.75lbs, 16.25lbs total so far - CW 12st 1.5lbs , SW 13st 3.75lbs... so close to the next stone marker! Fingers crossed I'll get there next week!
I went straight from 2.5 to 5 pen after first 4 weeks. I've been lucky and not had any really nasty side effects. Have felt a little cold, but the weather has also chilled a bit, have felt tired, but I've been so busy last few weeks, have also had a little nausea every now and then but nothing too bad. Not sure how many of this has been the jab?!?
Good suppression and have another 2 x 5ml pens and planning on staying on this as long as I can, partly due to cost, but from the begining before the prices I had that in mind for my plan if possible.

Hope everyone has a good week, and welcome @Pigeonenglish- sounds like you're getting on amazingly well!

SkinnyOatFlatWhiteForMePlease · 29/09/2025 18:21

Some great progress this week ladies, I love hearing everyone’s scale and non scale victories. I’m hoping to be in the 14’s by the October half term.

Stopping on 2.5 as this still seems to be working for me. Clothes feel so much looser and face definitely slimmer.
