I always find them really motivating.

I’ve been on MJ since May 2024 and am now maintaining after losing about 5 and a half stone.

I started at just under 15 stone and I’m now about 9 stone 6. I’m short at 5ft 3 so could possibly stand to go a little lower but not sure I’ve got it in me!!

it took me 7 months or so to lose the weight and I’ve been maintaining since January within about 3 lbs. Currently on 5mg and hoping to titrate down again to 2.5 in time

Would love to see others progress

It makes you look younger! Well done! And thanks for sharing. Im only two stones down so not much to show… (3 more to lose)

Kipperandarthur · 26/08/2025 17:47

Wow you look great. It is inspiring seeing these sorts of pictures. I only started in May and am about 2.3 stone down so quite a way to go.

Did you go all the way up through the doses?

JustCantMakeMyMindUp · 26/08/2025 19:02

Amazing thanks for sharing OP.
I’m dithering about taking WLIs and it’s great to see these results.
Did you have any side effects?

JustPassingThruHere · 26/08/2025 19:03

You look phenomenal!

CroissantChops · 26/08/2025 19:16

@JustCantMakeMyMindUp don’t waste any more time! Honestly go for it. Most people have either minor or no side effects and I’ve been no different. The odd bit of nausea and the odd tummy issue but nothing of note.

@Kipperandarthur well done on results so far. How much would you like to lose?

I lost most of the weight on 2.5 and 5, only going up to 7.5 in January where I stuck for a few months with the odd 10mg dose thrown in. I’m now on 5mg and planning to try and stick with this for the foreseeable.

@kumamon amazing! You’re very similar stats wise to me. I’d really like to try the 5mg every 10 days approach but worry it’ll send my hunger off the scale. How do you find it?

Marypoppinsisnosaint · 26/08/2025 21:08

First picture was roughly 2 years ago, probably at my heaviest. 2nd photo in June on a family holiday. 4stone down 😁😁

Still along way to go but at least I'm going in the right direction 😁😁

I really need to shed about 10st but I cannot see this helping. I’m severely disabled, largely housebound and any movement is painful and wobbly. I never eat breakfast and have not all my
adult life and I just eat dinner with occasional soup for lunch. I don’t move so I’m not burning calories so I don’t eat much. I used to eat massive portions but since lockdown when I began wfh due to mu
mobility issues, that is when I started missing lunch and only having a modest dinner. My stomach has shrunk and I couldn’t eat the portions sizes I used too even I wanted too, but I’ve stayed the same hovering between 160-165kg for years now. So I do not see how this will help me but I wish it would

SilenceInside · 26/08/2025 21:16

@mumofsixfluffs Mounjaro doesn’t just reduce your appetite, it has other actions that change how your blood sugar responds to food, how you utilise your stored fat and so on. So I think it’s certainly worth a try. Many people have found that Mounjaro helps with pain and inflammation too, even from the first few weeks before much weight is lost.

CroissantChops · 26/08/2025 21:24

@mumofsixfluffs well youll
never know unless you try! For the majority of people, it works. And suppression is not a given - I’ve never had loads of suppression

It probably would help. It's not just about eating, and btw your always burning calories even if you're not moving. Your body uses calories to just exist. If you truly eat so little there must be something else amiss, blood sugar issues etc, which WLI help with

Hiiii · 26/08/2025 21:37

I’m not proud of the before. The after is still a work in progress.

Based on a 50 year old who is 5' 7" and inactive, you'd need approx 2300 calories a day just to maintain a weight of 165kg. Which suggests that either you're consuming more calories than you realise or there's another metabolic issue going on. Have you talked to your doctor about this?

@CroissantChops it’s been really good for me. Hunger levels been absolutely fine, some days hungrier than others - that’s no problem. Overall it’s kept things level and steady for me.

it’ll be interesting to see what happens now. I’m with Oushk and can’t get a consultation till November. Think I will be stopping and seeing how things go. Am worried, but it will be a useful test.
