I always find them really motivating.

I’ve been on MJ since May 2024 and am now maintaining after losing about 5 and a half stone.

I started at just under 15 stone and I’m now about 9 stone 6. I’m short at 5ft 3 so could possibly stand to go a little lower but not sure I’ve got it in me!!

it took me 7 months or so to lose the weight and I’ve been maintaining since January within about 3 lbs. Currently on 5mg and hoping to titrate down again to 2.5 in time

Would love to see others progress

Thank you! I don't have a very defined jawline sadly on side profile, I'm starting a course of radio frequency to try and tighten the skin a bit but I think it's genetic really. I never thought I'd shift the double chin tbh!

I don’t think I ever will either actually. But you know what will be nice? Defining my face shape by its actual shape, rather than just ‘round’.

Oh yes definitely!

Great thread idea. I need this inspiration.
5.5 stone in 7 months is amazing🎉
I'm slightly shorter 5"2 started at 82 kg and 3.5 months later I'm 73kg which is roughly just under 1.5st in 3.5 months, I'm a bit jealous of how quickly you did it!
Did you go up a dose every month? I've only just started 7. 5 and regret sticking at 5mg for a second month as I seemed to tread water but was worried about side effects.
I can't imagine ever getting to 9.5 stone atm but fingers crossed I will get there.

@Dutchhouse14 sounds like you’re doing great! Just keep plodding along. That’s a very good weight loss

I didn’t really work up the doses much at all. Stayed on 2.5 for a lot of it then went up to 5 for a good few months before going to 7.5. I did a few months earlier this year on 10mg and I’m now working back down and taking 5mg and I intend to try and do 5 mg a week until the end of this year

I’ll then attempt 2.5 a week going forward

I’ve accepted that the likelihood of me maintaining this weight are slim without MJ. I’ve been here before and the recent published stats make for sobering reading … I will not be the complete outlier who maintains without MJ - and maintenance isn’t something that anyone can say they’re in as new studies shows it takes up to two years for your body to accept a new ‘set point weight.’

so it’s always an ongoing battle I suppose!

These photos are amazing.

When you have a review with your online pharmacy and have to send current photos and weight, do they continue your subscription okay? I read that you can't get WLI if your BMI is under 25 and you look slim in photos so will they continue your prescription?

no that’s not right, most continue to prescribe to 23, many 21 or even 19. With some notable exceptions. The drugs are approved for life long usage, and the risk of obesity returning is very high, which poses huge health risks for people, so in line with the guidance, most pharmacies continue to prescribe unless you become under weight,
