I always find them really motivating.

I’ve been on MJ since May 2024 and am now maintaining after losing about 5 and a half stone.

I started at just under 15 stone and I’m now about 9 stone 6. I’m short at 5ft 3 so could possibly stand to go a little lower but not sure I’ve got it in me!!

it took me 7 months or so to lose the weight and I’ve been maintaining since January within about 3 lbs. Currently on 5mg and hoping to titrate down again to 2.5 in time

Would love to see others progress

These photos are amazing. @kumamon - I have ‘abs’ envy!!

Ha - thank you! I NEVER thought I’d see the day. I’m so grateful Mounjaro exists and I’ve been able to access it. It has been without doubt life changing.

well done everyone - you all look incredible!

usedtobeaylis · 27/08/2025 11:18

What I love about seeing progress pictures from people taking Mounjaro is that the weight loss always seems to be really proportionate, from all over the body. I know from my previous attempts that often the middle of the body was the toughest area to lose from and sometimes weight loss could be really disproportionate because of that.

@Crocidura - it looks like you lost 20 years in addition to 4+ stone!! Amazing work and a real inspiration!!🙌🎉🙌

Thank you, that’s so nice to hear! ☺️
I am 54, felt more like 64 this time last year but feeling fit as a flea now. This is the first time I have had a BMI in the healthy bracket since I was a child, so MJ has been an absolute miracle for me. I hope everyone still in the midst of losing weight can find a way to keep going, either with MJ or Wegovy.

These are amazing! Fantastic and inspiring photos.

I really need to shed about 10st but I cannot see this helping. I’m severely disabled, largely housebound and any movement is painful and wobbly. I never eat breakfast and have not all my
adult life and I just eat dinner with occasional soup for lunch. I don’t move so I’m not burning calories so I don’t eat much. I used to eat massive portions but since lockdown when I began wfh due to mu
mobility issues, that is when I started missing lunch and only having a modest dinner. My stomach has shrunk and I couldn’t eat the portions sizes I used too even I wanted too, but I’ve stayed the same hovering between 160-165kg for years now. So I do not see how this will help me but I wish it would

Gosh, Fluffs you sound so down. Breaks my heart to read your post. Please reconsider. Mounjaro could well help you. My BMI is 72. I weigh about 29 stone. I am disabled too and rarely leave the house. Everything hurts and life is difficult all day every day.

Two weeks ago I was in your mindset but now I am literally awaiting my first treatment to arrive in the post.

@mumofsixfluffs well youll
never know unless you try! For the majority of people, it works. And suppression is not a given - I’ve never had loads of suppression

How does it work without suppression?

Lillipops · 28/08/2025 14:20

First photo I was 23.5st, BMI 59, second picture was taken last week whilst doing a 5 mile hike. Current weight today is 17st 7lbs BMI 43. Still want to lose 3.5 stone which I will do. It’s taken me a year exactly to lose the weight. In the first picture I could barely walk, now I swim a mile in less than an hour and a 5-6 mile walk is easy !

Love this @Lillipops 💖

kumamon · 28/08/2025 19:19

You look great @Lillipops - it’s so amazing to be able to move more easily and enjoy exercise isn’t it!

HelloHattie · 28/08/2025 19:21

Every single one of you looks fab. Well done to you all.

Lillipops · 28/08/2025 19:35

Thank you @kumamon & @PearlsPearl it really is great to enjoy exercising again. I can’t believe I used to look like that 😱 only downside is having to buy a whole new wardrobe, no more baggy jumpers to hide everything 🥳

CroissantChops · 28/08/2025 20:33

@JustCantMakeMyMindUp oh it works alright! I’ve always had appetite and always eaten around 1500 calories a day at least. Suppression is considered a side effect more than anything (although of course it’s what most people expect to experience!)

MJ works on your insulin resistance, your blood sugars, how you metabolise certain foods - your body deals with what you eat in a different way.

im not a doctor or scientist so my explanation is a bit off but that’s the gist of it really

Based on a 50 year old who is 5' 7" and inactive, you'd need approx 2300 calories a day just to maintain a weight of 165kg. Which suggests that either you're consuming more calories than you realise or there's another metabolic issue going on. Have you talked to your doctor about this?

There is many issues like PCOs, type 2 and fibromyalgia just to cover the basics

dizzyupthegirl86 · 31/08/2025 09:12

Picture one - may 18th
picture two - august 22nd

still a long way to go, but I’m so glad i take photos and measurements every month. I’ve had to take a rest from exercise this last week or so because of an injury and probably will next week so I’ve been feeling a bit low. But looking forward to getting back on it!

Here’s my before MJ and now photos. August 2024 to August 2025 I’d lost a fair bit before MJ but it wasn’t staying off. Anyway that’s size 18 and BMI 35 to size 8/10 and BMI 23.5.

dizzyupthegirl86 · 31/08/2025 09:47

@CroissantChops 28lbs when that photo was taken. I’ve lost another 1lb since then. I take my monthly photos in the same outfit I started in, which is obviously more skintight! I’ll be doing that next week, but the ‘now’ photo was just one I snapped to send to someone because I felt like it was the first time I could see much of a difference!

Seahorsesplendour · 31/08/2025 10:05

These are all amazing!! Thank you all for sharing!! I’m 3st down with at least 5 left to go!! Will share once I get some up to date ones done!!

Ktkitkatk · 31/08/2025 11:55

Nearly 8 stone down, would like another off if I can then to maintain. Has taken 1 year. Have only noticed it taking these new photos this week for my prescriber, size 26 to 16

It says my images are under review because I have a cropped top on in my after (I didn't have any clothes tight enough for photo to send to prescribers so had to wear one)

You look great! I never considered taking pictures of my face actually but I will now after seeing yours! I’m sure there’s a jawline to be found somewhere.

Thank you! I don't have a very defined jawline sadly on side profile, I'm starting a course of radio frequency to try and tighten the skin a bit but I think it's genetic really. I never thought I'd shift the double chin tbh!
