I have to admit I am struggling with maintenance. Years - decades - of trying to lose weight means that I still keep congratulating myself in my head if I manage to skip a meal. Have to stop doing that and find a healthy balance. Food is not the enemy.
But it's hard to change the perpetual diet mindset..

Totally get this. It is VERY hard, especially as I have spent pretty much my whole life since the age of 10 ‘on a diet’ - very depressing when you think about it! I don’t know how to not be thinking about losing weight 24/7. It’s all I’ve thought about for the past 25 years.

Thelittlestranger · 19/09/2025 10:17

@myladyjane I've moved from 7.5mg to 2.5mg since beginning of July. I had already found my sweet tooth had returned a little since the heady days of full suppression. It doesn't seem to have got worse, but I do seem to have got better at choosing to have less of it. But - I need to keep an eye on it. I was averaging 900 cals a day, and exercising 4-5 days per week to lose the weight. I'm now eating around 1500 cals a day on average (same amount of exercise) including any alcohol, and I'm finding it's enough.

Same as @DGonMJ I've stuck to protein snacks - favourites are ready cooked chicken breast, crab sticks (with very little crab!!) and hard boiled eggs. I 'crave' chicken now quite a lot...so yes, it has changed. But I'm not where I was pre-mj. Remains to be seen if that continues when completely out of my system.

Shotsy puts me at having 1.07mg in my system today after not jabbing for 11 days. I just haven't got round to it again...and I'm feeling fine. Weight is stable - although the week before I'm on usually has me at my lightest. I'm going to do it today. I have the golden does left to take, which I think might be up to two jabs.

Just called Oushk, got through really quickly, had a chat about moving to the flex plan - she offered a maintenance call, and I asked if I had to have it given I've already had one, and am currently on the taper plan. She said no - so I opted out - and they are going to send me a payment link to move to the flex plan from October. So, that's it. Decision made. £15 per month to know that I can order a pen at any time with 15% off.

Has anyone else from this group come off it completely yet? I think there was one person, but haven't seen them come back to the thread for a while...

Loving all the clothes chat, hope your buyers sort their schizzle out @PenelopePoweringOn, congrats on the new job @cloudjumper, hope today is a marvelous celebration of life @BreezyPeer, yes then! to lowest weight @discov .

Good morning! Catching up after my birthday on Wednesday. I haven't weighed since Monday and have eaten a lot of chocolate, out for lunch on Wednesday, out for dinner tonight and tomorrow. I think I will stay away from the scales now. Part of me feels Blot of freedom at not weighing. I really don't want the scales to be up, but part of me is worried if I don't keep an eye that the weight will creep back up.

Congratulations on the new job @cloudjumper and hopefully I've got this right.... Well done on the blood tests @PenelopePoweringOn and the healthy weight @Aimingdown

@myladyjane I've been maintaining now since the end of May. My goal is 8st 7 but I secretly wanted 8st 4, which I've seen once. I feel happier when my weight is below 8st 7 and anxious of it goes above. I lost weight on 5mg and I'm maintaining on 2.5, I am definitely picking more and have a need for sugar, way more than when I was on 5. I have occasionally jabbed 3.75 when the cravings are becoming too strong. I think I'm now back at the lowest level I can be on 2.5 (it titrates down like it titrated up) and I definitely feel like a little willpower is needed. I've been sitting here thinking about food all morning, I've kept myself busy so not eaten anything but will probably have an early lunch (I skip breakfast). I'm out for dinner tonight so don't want to eat too much. I at least still have that - I won't overeat so as not to make it difficult to eat tonight, where as pre-mj my brain would get me eating as I was blowing it tonight so I might as well go all out.
I think I will stay on a dose between 2.5 and 3.75 for the foreseeable future. Maybe going up post holidays or if the picking has become too much?

MissPobjoysPonies · 19/09/2025 11:05

changers to wegovy - how is it going? I’ve got one pen left of Mounjaro and am tempted to switch but wanted some more anecdotal evidence - are you still losing or maintaining?

Zempy · 19/09/2025 11:09

Well done @PenelopePoweringOn

Big hugs to @BreezyPeer

Congratulations @cloudjumper

Sorry if I have missed any major updates. I have been away on a training course and it was very full on! I ate too many biscuits and bread and have gained two pounds 😡 Back on it now, just did my usual shop so I can get back into my routine to some extent. Out Wednesday night and then major party this weekend for my 60th. I will eat and drink what I like!!

Weight verification call with Oushk tonight. Must remember to sellotape measuring tape to doorframe!

I wear a lot of burgundy. I can’t wear cream as am too sallow, but I always pair it with navy blue. I think it’s a really classy combination.

Happy Friday everyone!

Cabinfever20 · 19/09/2025 12:01

@PenelopePoweringOnI’m so pleased to hear your wonderful news about the blood tests. It must be such a relief for you and your family. @cloudjumpercongratulations on your new job. At least all that time spent on interviews was worth it!

I’ve been out in France since May so only have 3 new items of clothes in a size 12. Everything else is a 14. I’m now putting on stuff I haven’t worn for years as it was too tight, and like others have found, is now too big. Not unwearable big but just not very flattering.

I don’t go home to the Uk till mid October so I’m looking forward to getting out all the size 12 stuff that’s been packed away for donkeys years. I seem to remember some very smart burgundy trousers (also have the same pair in beige) so I just hope they’re not too big. They have fairly wide legs too so that’s well before “skinny” stuff came in.

I was 8st 8lb at my weigh in on Monday. My goal was originally 8st 7lb and then I revised it to 8st. I’ll have to see how I look as I go down beyond 8st 7lb. At my grand old age of 70 I’m getting a few more lines on my face between my nose and mouth (nasolabial folds?) that were previously plumped out by fat. Looking back at a photo of myself at a panto in December, I had a big moon face, so even with some extra lines my face still looks better now. It’s just my awful saggy bingo wings. I’m trying to get into the habit of holding my arms close to my sides as I’m still in sleeveless tops at the moment. I’m halfway through a 7.5 pen and hope to titrate down after that regardless if I’m not quite at goal.

2025istheyeari · 19/09/2025 13:02

That’s such fabulous news @PenelopePoweringOn , I’m so pleased for you, must be such a huge relief. Hope your buyers sort themselves out soon!

@BreezyPeer really hope today goes as well as it can.

@Zempy happy big birthday, how you’re celebrating in style 🎉

@cloudjumper fab news on the job, enjoy your last couple of weeks of freedom!!

@discov well done on the lowest weight!!

Jins · 19/09/2025 13:34

morning losers!

I’m flying in quickly to report weigh in and will catch up on posts later. For the 3rd week running I’ve STS at 8st 12.8. Textbook maintenance so far.

NSV - a couple of weeks ago I found some jeans that fitted ok, maybe a little tight on the waist. Put them on today to meet up with friends for brunch and I’ve overshot. Too big all over but actually look ok as loose fit with a belt. I’ve only lost 3lb in that time so my shape is definitely changing.

See you all later. Have a great day all!

BlueLimes · 19/09/2025 13:40

I am very behind on the thread.
Excellent news @PenelopePoweringOn
congratulations @cloudjumper
@BreezyPeer hope all goes well today
happy birthday celebrations @Zempy and @tinyemmy

Sorry I’ve missed loads.

myladyjane · 19/09/2025 15:20

Smashing news @PenelopePoweringOn and @cloudjumper.

@BreezyPeer I hope today went as well as it could.

@Zempy happy birthday ma man!

thanks to those who responded to my query. Slightly disappointing as I was hoping the ‘eating less shite’ properties may stay even on lower doses.

weigh in day today and lb off which is reasonable after my week. Tantalisingly close to my bmi 29.9…..

I do have that nasty bug/cold so logged off early and am sat on the sofa with tea (and my new boots) watching the girlfriend on amazon. 30 mins in and goodness it’s a bit weird innit.

HeidiLite · 19/09/2025 15:22

@Jins told you guys about the size changing a lot faster when you have less to lose.

A NSV here - I've always have sturdy calves (thanks farmer ancestors). Even when slim, I was never able to zip up knee high boots. The couple of pairs I have are special wide calf fit. So knee high boots simply don't exist for me as a choice.
Waled past a TK Maxx earlier and they had a whole collection. So I tried some, just for fun. They fit! They zip, room to spare. I am now a proud owner of a lovely plum coloured DKNY pair.

Ahh this gives me hope!! I saw a girl on TikTok who had some gorgeous chunky flat leather knee high boots, so off I trotted over to the ASOS app to order myself a pair to try and they were too tight on the calf! At bloody 8 and a half stone. I have never ever been able to wear knee high boots but thought I’d be safe now.

Do you know how much your calf measures? I measured mine and they are 14 inches, but I can’t find any info online about if this is big or not for my weight. So I’m not sure if it’s me or the boots!! Maybe I need to go and try some different pairs on in real life.

Jins · 19/09/2025 16:14

Another NSV - the Y2K Miss sixty jeans I could never get rid of that I could almost zip up a few weeks ago now go on, zip up and fasten easily. The downside is that they are very low rise so there is a substantial belly overhang going on. 🤣

I never thought I’d get near fitting into them. Size 24 vintage Miss Sixty. Goodness knows what size that equates to nowadays.

I’m not feeling the love for burgundy I’m afraid. I used to wear it a lot when I was a pale skinned black haired young goth. It was my colour when I felt frivolous. It just doesn’t work for me any more 🥲 tbh black doesn’t really either but I’ll never give up my predominantly black wardrobe

cloudjumper · 19/09/2025 16:25

@discovBoots with stretchy panels are your friend! Or lace-ups.
I have also struggled with boots all my life, even when I was at my slimmest. Getting riding boots that fit me was an absolute nightmare back in the day.
Funny how we all seem to by synced - I’m currently trawling through Vinted to find some chunky-heeled boots. Have ordered a pair, but it’s admittedly a risk!
I’m also a purple lover, but sadly, it’s not my colour 😢

I have so much trauma from being a teen in the 2000’s and having a lower belly and chunky hips!! I would so wear those jeans now if I didn’t still have the lower belly 😂 Get them on Vinted, you will make a killing as proper 00s low rise is a very hot commodity at the minute.

Jins · 19/09/2025 16:54

I can’t @discov. I’ve sold all my other Miss Sixty jeans years ago but these were such a special pair I’ve kept them. The only jeans I’ve ever felt good in.

I daren’t look at Vinted now

HeidiLite · 19/09/2025 16:56

@discov my calves used to be 15-16 inches, but are now 13

Zempy · 19/09/2025 17:12

Verification call completed! I was so worried about my height, I forgot I had to show ID. Anyway, all sorted.

I am going to use my stockpile to titrate down, then book a maintenance call for early Jan.

Really good suppression today for some reason. Weird how it goes sometimes…

PenelopePoweringOn · 19/09/2025 18:10

Well done @Zempy. You kept that quiet 💃🎉🎊, very happy birthday when you get there. @Jins my favourite jeans were from Jigsaw in an 8, I had them in dark grey, chocolate and navy blue and they fitted perfectly, I wore the same style for about a decade! Well done on getting back into your favourites!

I've had a lovely, hilly walk in the Dales with a friend today, had a scone on a pitstop but that's all I've eaten so far today. DS is coming home for the weekend, I expect he will be starving we'll eat together in an hour or so. I haven't got much of an appetite.

BreezyPeer · 19/09/2025 18:14

Thank you everyone for your well wishes. It was a harrowing but beautiful day.
I have come home for some quiet as I really didn't sleep last night. 🥰

Ahh yes definitely keep them then!! Apparently there are complaints that the new ‘low rise’ jeans shops are releasing aren’t low enough to be authentic ‘y2k’ style 😄

The ones I ordered had a big elastic panel!! But they were just too tight on my legs. There was even a review from someone saying ‘they fit my wide calves’ hence the spiral about my calves being unusually large 😄 I have seen Simply Be do different calf widths with measurements included, but theirs will be too big for me. I need an in-between ‘not skinny but not plus sized’ boot.

I do have a pair of lace up platform docs in cherry red which I’ve worn religiously for the past 5 autumn/winters. They have never discriminated against my legs 😂

FFS!!! Didn’t feel hungry all day, had a cereal bar for breakfast then forgot to eat lunch.

Had a super healthy dinner, salmon with salad, and now I’m stuck on the loo. 💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩
