Agree with everyone else. We are in this together.

@MissPobjoysPonies glad you are feeling better

This week I have more consciously tried to eat better as my dose is now back at 2.5mg. Renpho scales are very temperamental I've discovered - they don't show losses my other ones do. But I have hit below the '9' on them today ahead of going into the weekend - which is my expectation of maintenance. Lightest as I head into the weekend to give leeway.... annoyingly they were connected to my phone so it hasn't captured it 🙄

Glad it's Friday. Started the day with some weights (lower body) and have a few drinks and games planned with my husband and daughter later before we drive her back to uni tomorrow. Just got work to get through....

meatyryvita · 12/09/2025 12:42

A quick check in from the Wegovy guinea pig! No issues overnight (so far - I don't want to tempt fate!), appetite nicely suppressed, no side effects.

Happy Friday losers!

Please keep posting @myladyjane I don’t post that often but I feel this is a lovely group of supportive friends. I’m so glad I started MJ in January and was able to join this particular group. My weight has crept up over many years and then sat at a particular weight for 2/3 years. Then at the end of last summer another half stone had crept on, and that was the push I needed to do something serious about it. I haven’t told anyone in real life apart from my immediate family so it’s great to hear everyone’s experiences on here. I’ve been quite a slow loser - an average of 1lb a week, but now I’m 3 stone less than this time last year. I hope everyone stays on here during their maintenance phase. I would miss you all! 🥰

BlueLimes · 12/09/2025 13:12

myladyjane · 12/09/2025 07:18

@zempy- I blame the scales for
being arseholes.

dose day yesterday and weigh in today. I didn’t realise how far down i’d got in my pen and yesterday must have been my 5th dose from it. I got 49 clicks and I’ve been taking 51 or 52 ish so I decided to try 49 this week and I can top up a little bit later. Then still got a bonus dose to do.

lost 2.5lb since my last weigh in about 10 days ago and
6lb in 4 weeks so quite pleased with that at this stage. Annoyingly still 3lb to go until bmi under 30.

I have stayed a way a bit this week as I was a bit upset about still being so far from goal when everyone else is there. Felt a bit of a fat failure tbh. But hey ho. Useful to post for accountability if nothing else.

Don’t feel crap - you’ve come so far. You feel better after those 3lbs get you to bmi 30 I bet !

i seem to be the only one who gains on holiday and I don’t mean a lb or two - so I’ve not bothered telling you all what a fatso I am !!

BlueLimes · 12/09/2025 13:20

I’m really behind with the thread - I’ve just read last 2 days, it is difficult when you see people striding ahead but every single one of us has made so much progress from where we were in January. We should be kind to ourselves.

Comparison is the thief of joy as they say (quite like that quote - not being preachy !!).

I was looking at photos of Christmas last year yesterday and my face is so round and my stomach so huge. I can’t believe I had got that big either. Almost 15st! And I’m so grateful to have taken the plunge with mj in January.
But I have hit a plateau since summer holidays, I’ve lost what I put on whilst away but have been stuck for a couple of weeks now. I’m half way to my goal so still plodding along with the slow losers club and will go up to 12.5 after my current pen runs out to try to get over this plateau. Some of my colleagues have lost twice as much as me in half the time and that is galling but like you say- we must not compare.

HeidiLite · 12/09/2025 14:45

Finally on the last connecting train, heading to Munich for school reunion. I didn't go to school there, but we had many different nationalities and we live all over the place, so we meet up every year in a different country. The German efficiency certainly doesn't apply to Deutsche Bahn, let me tell you. Cancellation, delay, another delay, 2 hour wait instead of a 8 minute connection..I'm exhausted.

But looking forward to seeing the people. Every time we meet up, I feel like I'm 25 again and trying to decide what I want to do when I grow up :D

Haven't decided yet if I will tell them about WLI or not - I'm sure there will be comments.

MJalltheway · 12/09/2025 16:46

Echoing all the other comments as well, we are all part of this wonderfully supportive community and it's only created by everyone's contribution - please don't feel like you don't have anything to add!

i totally get the feelings of disappointment and shame I suppose that I let myself get so big it was affecting my health. But that's done now, now what I'm (and all of us are) doing is tackling it. It's not an easy thing to face up to, it's not an easy thing to tackle - even with MJ. We are all putting the work in - counting calories, cutting carbs, prioritising protein and fibre, working out, building new sustainable habits. we've all made such progress since January.

weigh in and jab day for me today.

SW 101kg
CW 75.2kg
GW 70kg

loss this week 0.8kg.

Just over 4 stone lost in total now. And I'm going out out this weekend - a very rare occurrence! Haven't quite decided what to wear yet. I have a skirt and top I found deep in a cupboard that I haven't been able to wear since I last lost weight 6 years ago, or I've bought a new dress that I quite like too (a size 12!)

BreezyPeer · 12/09/2025 17:07

Just catching up with the thread. I am also very pleased to be part of the group. I have told zero people about mj in real life, so you are my lifeline as far as weight-loss goes.
Happy Friday everyone, @HeidiLite be ready for LOTS of positive comments, @MJalltheway have a lovely evening out! What a great position to be in, two flattering outfits to choose from! 👗 👚
I am not ignoring everyone else but I have a hungry teen in the house so I want to do tea before the kitchen becomes snack central🤣🤣🤣

Keep going !! Half way is still great. I’ve not lost my holiday weight either, I’ve decided to do the best I can and it will come off eventually. Enjoying holidays is something we’ll need to navigate long term - so I’m trying to think of it as a positive learning thing. Hard though !!

have a great time @HeidiLite and @mj

mince3point14159265 · 12/09/2025 20:53

@myladyjane I totally get what you are saying. I was the same as you, my BMI was almost 40. That weight didn't go on in a linear fashion; so many times I dieted, lost a chunk before some hiccup would come along and I'd put it all back on and then a bit more. I was looking for a photo yesterday and came across some photos from 2015 and I look bloody awful (and more weight went on after that obvs 😬🙄) but just didn't see it at the time. Our brains really do play games with us and so it's no wonder we're all having a similar problem in reverse now that we're losing weight. Think we just have to trust the process and ride out these periods of feeling a bit low. Probably doesn't help with feeling that winter is approaching.
But here we all are and it's amazing how many of us are still doing this wonderful thing. It's lovely to have some that have reached goal and trying maintenance so we can all know what to expect. I know I'm in this for the long haul if I'm to stand a chance of improving my health going into old(er!) age and I'm glad I've got all you lovely lot still here to chat with because you all just get it. 🤞❤️

Polkadotdash · 12/09/2025 22:03

@myladyjane and @0ncemorewithfee1ing you are my plodding counterparts. I’ve definitely still got as far to go as I have come. I still have a moon face and a size 16 is more comfortable than a 14. I’ve been stuck at the same weight for weeks (I know I’m post surgery and I’m happy that I haven’t gained, but I still would like a bit of a loss). My DH is now thinking of trying WLI as his blood pressure has gone up and his BmI is 29. I’ve (jokingly) told him he can’t because he will probably smash it immediately and lose 14 stone in a day and I will be mightily pissed off!

Polkadotdash · 12/09/2025 22:08

@HeidiLite Deutsche Bahn’s punctuality is absolutely awful. I couldn’t believe it when I was there for work earlier this year. They just don’t care. They don’t tell the passengers anything - I was stuck on a train that just didn’t move for an hour, no explanation. I asked a German colleague about compensation for cancellations etc (like delay repay in the UK) and they laughed and said no way would you get money back.

MJalltheway · 13/09/2025 07:24

Morning lovely losers. Drove my eldest back to uni last night, very sad (for me!) that she's gone again, it's been fantastic having her home. She's grown and matured unbelievably over the first year of uni. Happily she'll be back for one day this week for DS's long awaited 18th birthday (he of the big party a month ago!). And while we were in sainsbos doing the obligatory cupboard-filling shop for her I bought myself more (!) work clothes and a jumper. I really really need to purge all the 16s out of my wardrobe now I've got enough staples that will fit me.

unbelievably cold this morning! I love autumn, it's my favourite season. I love cold, crisp mornings and weak sun! Not so keen on the endless rain ☔️

Thelittlestranger · 13/09/2025 07:41

@MJalltheway I will miss my daughter too after we've dropped her back today (although we do take a night there as it's so far away) but I won't miss her mess 😜 I love seeing the woman she is becoming.

I also love Autumn! I embrace the change in season after the Summer, look forward to changing my wardrobe (although it will be a case of buying new mainly this year) and think the colours of the trees and gardens are beautiful. And it's also the time of year where I take more days off!! The rain, however, can do one.

Kept it to one lager top last night, and avoided a take away by making a curry. Feeling saintly for a Friday.

Hope you dazzled at the reunion @HeidiLite

Been woken up by the dogs, so about to leave OH sleeping and do my weights before we hit the car. Enjoy your weekend all.

PenelopePoweringOn · 13/09/2025 07:55

Morning all. @MJalltheway Autumn is also my favourite season, we’re right up north so it’s colder than home. The trees are still very green, I was expecting more autumn colours. I’m in our hotel waiting for DC2 to stir. I might nip in our hot tub with a view of the hills depending on how cold it is when I open the door! We’ve got adjoining rooms that share a hot tub with a terrace, the hot tub is for DC really, I’m not very keen on the chlorine on my sensitive skin.

Eating out has been ok. In fact I was actually hungry when I left a restaurant yesterday. The portions were ridiculously small, I eat such a small amount of food these days, I felt a bit peeved tbh at upwards of £120 per head. That’ll teach me for seeking out super swanky. Mid range tonight thank goodness, somewhere we’ve been before and I know I won’t feel like my throat’s been cut. I’ve had no problem sticking to a sensible breakfast of fruit and a poached egg, piece of grilled bacon, grilled tomato and a piece of brown toast.

I’m reading your uni drop offs thinking that’ll be me next year. Home alone for the first time in forever. I agree that it’s great to see our kids turning into lovely young adults.

2025istheyeari · 13/09/2025 08:24

Aaw @mince3point14159265 that made me feel all warm and fuzzy, thank you!

Good luck and hugs to those of you with uni drop offs, we have a couple of years but I’m dreading it! Lovely to see them growing up and becoming independent, amazing people but equally I’m going to find it strange!

@PenelopePoweringOn your break sounds wonderful ( despite teeny portions!), have a wonderful time!

hope the reunion is fab @HeidiLite ddspite the trains..

I'm feeling a bit grim, think I may have an ear infection. DH mountain biking with friends in the alps so just ds, dog and I, quiet weekend I think with maybe a bit of Vinted action and holiday planning!!

have a great one all

Jins · 13/09/2025 08:31

Morning all!

Autumn used to be my favourite season but I seem to have morphed into a summer lover over the last few years. Not sure why that’s happened. Winter can do one though.

Uni drop offs weren’t too bad for us as DS1 ended up quite near. It doesn’t compare to helping them move into their first house in terms of missing them though.

It’s jab day today and I’ve been a bit disappointed with the higher dose I did last time. I had hoped for a small loss (still loosely aiming for 8st 11) but I’ve not had any better suppression, I’ve been constipated and I’ve gained a little. I think we all know I’m going to take whatever is left in the pen though…

Have a great weekend all

BreezyPeer · 13/09/2025 08:43

Morning 🌄 losers! Happy Saturday 😊
I have an unexpectedly quiet day as DS made last minute plans and will be out all day.
So, knitting, book, trip to beauty salon (weight session @HeidiLite will be proud of me!) and probably some decluttering (oh! and I must take my Vinted sale to the garage!)
Will see how I feel this afternoon. Might stay in and finish King and Conquerer or might go for a walk or to the local bigger town to look in the shops. I still need some more new clothes. Especially trousers 👖 xx

DGonMJ · 13/09/2025 09:08

Morning losers! Sounds like lots of lovely cosy weekend plans are afoot.
I’ve just done a quick vinted upload for DH.
Today, I have to return a jacket and maybe some shoes that I ordered on-line. The jacket has badly structured shoulders, no wonder it was massively reduced. For the first time I’m not blaming my misshapen body, as my shoulders are currently one of my best features!
I also have a hair appointment to get roots done, a PT session and an early dinner with friends - I’m meant to be bringing ‘something sweet’. I might make a traybake. Or just go to M&S…

Polkadotdash · 13/09/2025 10:07

Ah all the uni stuff! My DS1 is gearing up to go next year. I went on an open day visit with him yesterday and I’m planning on spending the morning in bed today to recover! It was lovely spending the day with him yesterday. It will break my heart when he goes off next year.

MJalltheway · 13/09/2025 11:09

It's so hard @Polkadotdash ! But you adjust, and life moves on and you find a new normal. My DS will be going next year too, then just DD2 left at home. A downside of having them close together as babies means they all disappear quickly too! 😭
But DD is absolutely thriving at uni, I'm so proud of her. DS can't wait to go! We live in a quiet rural area and he's desperate for the bright lights of a big city!

DGonMJ · 13/09/2025 11:44

I think we’re a few years off seeing anyone off to uni. DS1 keen to do an apprenticeship and will likely stay home until maybe mid-twenties depending on how his confidence builds or he may stay indefinitely. DS2 is thinking about it, he’s Y9 so would be another 5 years.

Hairdresser has told me to stop losing weight (she’s known me since my early 20s). Tbf I did come in without make up so look even more deathly 💀

Feeling productive today. Focusing on bedroom surfaces this weekend, after last weekend’s bathroom drawers clear out.

myladyjane · 13/09/2025 11:47

Morning all. Thank you for the words of support yesterday, as ever much appreciated (I had an awful call to make at work yesterday so was in a bit of a tizzy anyway. Call was awful but done).

seeing extended family today, quiet day and probably some work tomorrow. Really need to get some kind of activity in - exercise and movement is the one change that eludes me and always has.

was a bit chuffed yesterday when I tried on a size 14 skirt from H&M and the waist was loose. I have a tweedy blazer arriving from vinted today but am a bit worried as I got a 16 - it may be too big!

Jins · 13/09/2025 13:10

There you go @myladyjane. Sliding down the sizes nicely. If it makes you feel any better I’ve just tried on all my summer dresses and thought I’d probably need to take a size 16 in. No - it’s fine as it is.

Jabbed what was left in my pen an hour ago and it worked out at 4.375mg. So I should have taken 5mg last week really but I wanted to be done with it. Microdosing from my 10mg pen starts on 20th - only 3 weeks after uploading a start date of 1/9. I’m going to end up with a stockpile which is why I’m leaning towards Oushk’s Flex plan. It feels like it’s worth £15 a month to hop on and off buying it. I hope to be down at 2.5mg by then.

DH and are actually going out together this afternoon. Feels like a long time since we did. He’s busy with all his outdoorsy sporty stuff at the moment and I’m… not! 🤣
