Fingers crossed for you @HeidiLite

It is all happening for me tomorrow, just had my 3rd(!) interview scheduled for the day!!! Apparently, they all want to talk to me! Mental. But it feels good to be sought after like that.
The company I was waiting to come back to me regarding next steps (where I had submitted an assessment) have pulled out though - I’m not overly sad about this, one less ball to juggle. However, they had approached me in the first place, and I’d already done 3 interviews with them. Lots of time/effort gone down the drain hey-ho 🤷🏼‍♀️

HeidiLite · 09/09/2025 20:28

oh that's annoying, @cloudjumper
But probably good riddance. Good luck with the rest of them!

2025istheyeari · 09/09/2025 20:51

Blimey @HeidiLite they’re putting you through it!! Lots of luck!
@cloudjumper lots of luck tomorrow, how annoying about the other company though, so annoying!!

mince3point14159265 · 09/09/2025 23:10

My god, you lot are chatty! Trying to catch up now I'm back from holiday but... 😰😂

Just to say well done to all those who've lost weight and good luck for all the job & house hunters. 🤞

Managed to lose a little bit of weight despite very much enjoying the wine & cocktails. 🍸😋
Still stuck to 16:8 which was tough when faced with delicious hotel buffet breakfasts that were paid for! Think most weight lost was down to all the blood sucked out of us at one hotel that had a real mosquito problem! 🦟🩸

BreezyPeer · 10/09/2025 07:13

Morning losers! 🌄
I have an 'in the office meeting' today. Doesn't happen often amd I am wondering if there will be any remarks about the weight-loss. However, we are a very polite group so not sure if people will say anything 🤔 😉 😀
@mince3point14159265 well done on the loss and the holiday (apart from the mosquitoes) sounds lovely 😍
@cloudjumper good luck with the other interviews. It's so annoying when there is a long recruitment process and then it comes to nothing 🙄
@HeidiLite good luck with your massive interview process. Will these people have met you before? I have met some new people recently and the thought crossed my mind that they don't know I was fat before. They only know me slim😅
On the sitting being uncomfortable now you are bony . . . I am with you! Pilates the other night lying on my side, I thought there was something hard under my mat . . . No! Just my own bony hip bone!! 🤣
@MJalltheway my pilates teacher ( the one that sadistically made me lie on my bony hip!) Has an online strength and conditioning group where she does 3 sessions a week. I love this! Holds me accountable ( a bit) and she is so encouraging of any change like a heavier weight. I too, need to get different weights as I am using DS and his friends weights at the moment but I need much lighter than them so it's a lot of set up everytime. I want a set of those brightly coloured ( mostly pink) weights so they won't steal them. I NEVER thought weights would be on my Christmas list. What a year! 🤣
Sorry, I know I've missed people but I have to get ready to actually go into work.
Have a great day, xxx

PenelopePoweringOn · 10/09/2025 07:29

Morning everyone, massive good luck to everyone interviewing. I could do with a drop of good luck myself! I don't seem to be getting very far with either coming second or being advised that the funding has been pulled.

Lowest weight ever recorded today, still constipated and I still havent injected. I will do that this evening.

DGonMJ · 10/09/2025 07:43

@BreezyPeer enjoy the office, and embrace the compliments!

@mince3point14159265 welcome back! Well done for sticking to IF while faced with hotel breakfasts.

@cloudjumper & @HeidiLite good luck with interviews. As draining as it is I think those ‘practise’ interviews (where the job goes nowhere) are so valuable as it really tightens up your personal sales pitch. The more you do, the better you get at selling yourself. I don’t do enough interviewing. I really should respond to more headhunters.

@MJalltheway Go Girl! Love that you felt great in your outfit…such a good feeling!
On the chia pudding recipe - it does come out quite a lot, I reckon I only ate 2tbs in the end! However soaking overnight meant no adverse effects. I think unsoaked chia seeds can draw moisture from your gut.

Maintenance problems…had a mid-week weigh and I’m still losing, even on 2.5mg. I’m now firmly in 57kg territory at 57.65kg. I’m day 5 of my cycle so I know this is usually my lowest weight of the month. So trying not to worry as I know I will likely put some of it back on. Renpho has me at 21.2BMI. I eat three meals a day, and I snack.

Yesterday I had porridge with blueberries, almonds, sunflower seeds, half a banana plus a massive dollop of Greek yoghurt for breakfast. Lunch was a brown rice bowl with chicken and veg. Dinner was lasagne. Snacks of two chia seed protein balls, Babybel, nectarine. It’s crazy that I’m losing weight on this amount of food. I definitely think MJ has done something to my metabolism.

HeidiLite · 10/09/2025 07:46

@BreezyPeer , could you have thought last year that you will want weights for Xmas!

No, the people in the company that I'm interviewing with have never met me before. So yes, in their head I will be a slim person. Can you imagine, if someone describes your appearance nowadays, they will go with 'slim'?

sorry to hear @PenelopePoweringOn that the process has been a struggle. I do believe things will work out though, and if something doesn't, it was just not meant to be.

cloudjumper · 10/09/2025 08:27

Weigh day today, I’m plateau-ing again 😐 Which surprises me, as I’m really not eating very much at all - most days I struggle to eat enough. Any tips, losers?! How did you get over plateaus?

I’m literally half a unit away from a healthy BMI, argh!!

Checking prices, and the 10mg pen is nearly £300 with my provider, that is just insane. I do need this new job to support my drug habit 🫣🤣

Sw 100.7kg
Cw 74.2kg
Gw 70kg

Welcome home @mince3point14159265 and @BlueLimes and glad you had a fab time!

Well done on the weight loss @mince3point14159265 , that’s amazing🎉. Yuk re mosquitos, that’s not nice!

have a good day in office @BreezyPeer!

Good luck with interviews, I’ve got one today and one tomorrow eek!

plateaus are painful @cloudjumper just keep on keeping on, check your water and protein, good luck!

Jins · 10/09/2025 08:48

Morning all. Gosh these interview processes have changed since I was last interviewed but on the plus side if does give you time to decide if it’s right for you as well. My favourite interview ever was conducted in a bar after a conference when we were all very much the worse for wear. It turned out to be the job I was happiest in.

Is there space for me on the constipation bench? It’s been building slowly since Saturday, pretty sure it’s down to doing a higher dose but honestly it could be for any or no reason. I’m up a kg and I’m pretty sure it’s all 💩

Less than 2 weeks to Malta. Last chance for a bit of sun to tide me over the winter. I’m going to try to get my clothes sorted and packed this weekend as I think the dresses I have in mind may not fit too well. I’m ok for daytime stuff but it’s quite a posh hotel and I’m looking forward to dressing for dinner.

HeidiLite · 10/09/2025 09:01

@Jins the massive interview process can indeed be helpful as well - at the moment it has been very reassuring that all people have been consistent in their opinions about the company culture and working style. I really don't want to end up in some kind of a toxic madhouse (been there done that, ha).

My fellow losers, something weird happened this morning. I was looking in the mirror and thought that hm, am I not actually getting too skinny?
Too skinny.
That is a thought I have not had about myself ever in my entire life. It's not really a problem of course, first my BMI is totally in the normal range and I just need to build more muscle back. But still, to look in the mirror and not think that oh I look big and oh I really need to lose weight here and there..brain can't comprehend.

Zempy · 10/09/2025 13:56

Good luck to everyone interviewing!

I am still 8:13 😍

Got two nights in London hotel and a night out having dinner with adult DC somewhere naice. I think I will have the breakfast (but veggie) and scrimp on dinner the first night and on lunch the second day. That should hopefully protect me somewhat.

MJalltheway · 10/09/2025 14:49

Sw 100.7kg
Cw 74.2kg
Gw 70kg

I think the only way through a plateau is to grit your teeth and power on. Maybe try relaxing what you eat/drink for a good few days before getting back on it?

our stats are so similar! I must be taller than you though, I've been at a healthy BMI for a couple of months now, currently at 23.7. My SW was 101kg and CW is 75kg. 70 is my goal too.

MJalltheway · 10/09/2025 14:53

And to think back to when we started this @HeidiLite with your HeavyHeidi username!!!
I also had a revelation when trying on clothes. I don't even need to THINK about whether something is slimming or hides my stomach! If you are slim, you don't need slimming clothes!!! Mind blown 🤯

mince3point14159265 · 10/09/2025 15:12

Huge nsv for me today. My engagement and wedding rings fit!!! 💍
I haven't been able to wear them for at least 10 years I think. Damn! There I was hoping for an upgrade!! 🤣

HeidiLite · 10/09/2025 15:25

@mince3point14159265 ah darn ...but if you plan to lose more, they may get too big and still need an upgrade? 😁
Which is actually an issue for me now, I weigh quite a bit less than when I got married and my wedding ring is indeed too loose - had to buy one of those plastic ring adjusters to avoid it slipping off. Want to make sure my weight stays more or less stable before I go get it properly adjusted.

@MJalltheway right? I am still always looking at draped stomach hiding tops and dresses, a lifetime habit is hard to break. But seriously thinking of some personal stylist advice. I've always dressed as an hourglass - except for the past couple of years, I usually had a decent waistline, even when heavier, but big boobs and backside. The latter 2 are gone and I look more like a rectangle than hourglass, so many things make me look very boxy. I don't know how to dress a rectangle.

mince3point14159265 · 10/09/2025 15:49

@HeidiLite unfortunately that finger was always much smaller thanks to a childhood accident. When all our friendship group got engaged we were all messing around one evening trying on each others engagement rings and I saw a look of panic on one friend's face thinking her ring would get stuck on my finger which then turned to confusion as she wondered how on earth did her tiny ring* fit on my finger. 😂

*I'd like to point out that only the ring part was tiny. The diamond was huge (and very beautiful)! 🤤

mince3point14159265 · 10/09/2025 15:50

To add, that finger couldn't possibly get any smaller I think, so no loose ring problem likely here!

MJalltheway · 10/09/2025 17:41

Ok, I take back the comment about the clothes after trying on the MOST unflattering dress I've ever seen! It made me look like a fridge with boobs. No wonder it was in the sale.

MissPobjoysPonies · 10/09/2025 20:33

I feel so rough today, I think coffee doesn’t help so I’m going to have a couple of days off but I was (and possibly am still) worried about gall bladder pain 🫣 but I just feel quite nauseous after a long rocking train journey too. Sorry to whinge but it’s been a while since I’ve felt like this - having not changed my dosage grrrr

HeidiLite · 11/09/2025 06:00

hope you're feeling better this morning, @MissPobjoysPonies

Weighed myself this morning and have lost more weight. I don't want to lose more weight.
I was busy, travelling, had to skip some meals as was squeezing in meetings - but I did eat, even had some ice cream and pastries. Is this how it works for normal people? Just eat a bit less and drop pounds without any effort - no wonder they claim weight loss is easy and all you need is a little will power.

PenelopePoweringOn · 11/09/2025 06:10

Morning everyone, massive congratulations for everyone losing and maintaining, it is very positive isn't it.

I've injected today, 6.25mg. Really hoping to break into 12 stone something in the next week, still 💃around on the scales.

I'm also away this weekend, I'm planning on having whatever I want at breakfast (plus prunes of course, which I really dislike) and the same again at dinner. I've booked a couple of really lovely restaurants and I want to enjoy them. Also planning on having a rare glass of wine and a gin each evening.

meatyryvita · 11/09/2025 06:51

Morning everyone! Best of luck to all of those interviewing - may the force of the mumsnet January fat club be with you!

I hope you feel better soon @MissPobjoysPonies.

Have a fab weekend away @PenelopePoweringOn .

Check in day for me today and I’ve lost just shy of 1lb - plateau broken for now but not in an earth shattering way but I’ll take what I can get!

SW 15.10 (30th Jan)
CW 11.8.9
GW 9.10

First Wegovy injection in a sec. I’ve been out in 1mg (was about to move up to 10mg MJ before the change). Glad of the timing of the tube strike tbh so that I’m not in the office in case I crap my pants or whatever other side effects are heading my way!

Have a great day losers x
