Creating this in advance, as the old thread is suddenly moving quickly due to recent events. No matter what challenges lie ahead we are still making amazing progress - so let’s keep supporting one another along the way as we approach 4 months ‘on the pen’.

P.S. loving the photo @wlinewbie0425! You look amazing.

Well done everyone - whether we’re currently on the way, where we want to be, or having a little sts sit down on the journey, we’ve all made such tremendous changes to our bodies since late April xx

@Coventree Happy Birthday! You don't look anywhere near 50, hope you've had a lovely day 🎂🎁🎈

How are we all managing so far on Christmas week? I’ve started having some of the festive treats, opened the cheese board yesterday and delighted to enjoy it as much as usual, just satisfied with so much less. Such a lovely feeling. Hope it’s the same for the rest of you. Will be interesting to see how the big day goes for all too.

happy Christmas Eve Eve all 🎄

I’ve had a few meals out but with good choices and less courses am maintaining my weight which I’ve NEVER done before. We have loads of chocolate in the office and I’ve been having one a day whiz is also unheard off. This montjaro is curious and wonderful. 🎄

Well done!
I had my lunch today with an M&S hamper in front of me. I resisted, even my favourite biscuits.
But I am going home with so many gifts of chocolate and biscuits. I don't think I'll need to buy anything for the whole year! And that includes everyone in the house eating it

BudgieMom · 24/12/2025 17:09

wlinewbie0425 · 25/12/2025 08:50

Merry Christmas to you all! Hope you are able to enjoy nice amounts of food today, enjoy feeling more comfortable and being in all the photos this year!

Merry Christmas everybody. I won't be alone in not eating much today as we've all had flu. Poor DH lost 9 pounds in less than a week!

Today's mantra is 'focus on protein, save space for a couple of spoons of trifle'. We've got this!

Crunchymum · 25/12/2025 10:43

Merry Christmas all 🎄

Sorry to hear you've all been poorly @Hawkmoth I'm just coming out the otherside but lost my appetite for over a week. This was insane, nothing like the MJ suppression, the thought of actual food made me heave for a week. I couldn't physically eat. It was awful. That was alongside the actual cough / temperature / sinus pain and raging head cold!!

I am thrilled I started to be able to eat again yesterday and we are able to make our family gathering today.

I lost 4.5lbs in two weeks, which given I'm pretty much at goal weight is no mean feat.

Hope you are able to enjoy your day in some way.

Sending Festive cheer to everyone. Have a fab day.

Hawkmoth · 25/12/2025 10:56

@Crunchymum this is what DH has been like, not even able to finish a steak pie. I've just felt sore and a bit drunk for a week, so got off lightly.

Have a lovely day.

StartingApril2025 · 25/12/2025 19:34

Merry Christmas everyone, sorry for those who have been unwell, so much going around! Hope it passes quickly.
I missed my injection on Tuesday as was so busy then took the fear yesterday being Christmas Eve even though I never have bad side effects but had my period too so just felt a bit rough , enjoyed all my food today and will take it tomorrow! Hopefully all goes well the remainder of the week for everyone and those feeling poorly feel better xx

Merlin23 · 25/12/2025 20:56

Merry Christmas Everyone!
I've had a lovely Christmas in between the coughing fits! Love working with children - hate the coughs and colds!
My family have kept Rituals in business - I will smell great in 2026!
Didn't manage to finish my Christmas dinner! First time ever!
Have a lovely festive week everyone!

AbundanceofKatherines · 26/12/2025 08:29

Happy Boxing Day everyone - hope your Christmases were filled with love and joy.

Boxing Day weigh in and it’s a 4.2lbs gain for me this week 🫣 It was fun eating so much lovely food and drinking all the wine and Baileys, but not enough fun to want to do it again before next Christmas.

Back on the straight and narrow now - I’m sure it’ll come off quickly.

Merlin23 · 26/12/2025 08:50

Weigh in day!
Stayed the same!
Happy with that!
Happy Boxing Day!

MiniCoopers · 26/12/2025 08:55

Thankfully I am not seeing any gains at the minute, we were quite sensible booze wise and bar some nuts I didn’t over indulge food wise (except for the roast potatoes 🥔).

I’ve had chaser emails off Juniper saying it’s time to do your review, do your review now! I know it’s automated but I only finished work on the 24th and I didn’t want to do it during Xmas but I’ll have to take the dreaded mirror pics today I guess.

Merlin23 · 26/12/2025 17:58

NSV
Went to a couple of shops today. I bought a size 10 jumper from Fatface and a size xs jumper from H&M
This time last year I was a size 22 or xxl
I'm in disbelief

Zebracat · 27/12/2025 23:30

I seem to have gained 2kilos since last Saturday even though I have eaten modestly, mainly. We are also ill. I like Christmas generally, but I just want the cheese mountain to disappear and to be normal again. It’s all too much.

PumpKim · 28/12/2025 07:27

Hope everyone is enjoying the festivities.
Our Christmases are fairly quiet, spent at home just our little family.
Official weigh day today and it's a tiny gain of 0.1lb, I'll take that, it's negligible. To be honest I don't think I've overeaten at all, but I've had more things that I wouldn't usually have, like chocolates and a couple of Bailey's 🥂. No plans for new year, my husband is working night shift, and I rarely drink, so definitely won't be drinking alone. Hopefully back to losses from next week 🤞

It will come off. You've probably got some water retention. A lot of Christmas food is ultraprocessed which you probably don't usually eat whilst on mj.
Drink some more water, eat as clean as possible, cheese included and I'm sure it will drop back off!

PeachSnail · 28/12/2025 07:41

Hope everyone had a lovely Christmas. I'm back home now after 4 nights away. I've definitely eaten and drunk a lot more than usual. I can feel that I've put on weight but I'm going to save weighing myself until tomorrow...
@Zebracat try not to worry too much about the gain. I'm sure it'll come off again fairly easily. But you're right - it's at this point that you just want all the fattening leftovers to disappear!
Well done on pretty much maintaining @PumpKim
I'm still ill with a cold, but I think I'm going to force myself to have a short run so I can try to check in with my body and enjoy a bit of me time after all the hecticness. Need to try to reclaim some semblance of healthy living!

PeachSnail · 29/12/2025 09:40

Me again... I had been dreading my weigh-in this morning 🙈. Had all that familiar shame and avoidance about having put weight on and was actually quite fearful of stepping on the scales... But I can't believe I'm saying this - I actually lost 1kg! For me, that's a lot for a normal week, let alone Christmas week! That was totally unexpected... And a huge relief 😮‍💨

SW 87.65kg
CW 68.8kg
GW 65kg

My eating + drinking has been all over the place and I haven't really been able to control what / when I've been eating (due to being hosted by in-laws), but I guess the MJ has been subtly preventing me from over-indulging. I also haven't really fancied lardy things like mince pies so just said no when they were offered.

So there we are... So relieved to report that things are still on track 🙌🏻🙂
