Creating this in advance, as the old thread is suddenly moving quickly due to recent events. No matter what challenges lie ahead we are still making amazing progress - so let’s keep supporting one another along the way as we approach 4 months ‘on the pen’.

So far Christmas season going well!
I have an M&S treats advent calendar. Each treat is about 65 calories. Just factored it in my day.
Other than that no temptations.
I'll probably end up with loads of chocolate from work as parents buy gifts. So my family will do well out for it.
I've asked for no chocolate for Christmas.
Add loads of veggies and eat less roast potatoes.
Not going to work Christmas do, as it's a bottomless brunch. I don't drink and at £40 a head too expensive to eat half a lunch.
Good luck everyone.

slightlysmallerPoisonIvy · 10/12/2025 23:41

Well done @Zebracat @PumpKim @StartingApril2025 @BeachBodyAim @PeachSnail @BudgieMom

I forgot to update at the weekend, I somehow managed to lose 0.2lbs despite the high calorie days. Been back on track since, pre mj I would definitely have given up and thought what's the point in trying when I just keep failing, but a couple of bad days does not undo months of work!
I'm having a rubbish week at work and have no urges to drown my feelings in food so that's good.
Just one more week to get through and then xmas hols.
I can do one more week.... 😫😭😂

@wlinewbie0425 Same, I'm not at all tempted! Usually my kitchen would be full by now but I haven't bought a single thing yet and my reserved xmas delivery slot is still empty, I should have used those bad days last week to get the xmas food shop done! 😂

@Coventree Thank you! 😘I have been back on track since, all seems to be back to normal now.

Hope you are all having a great week!

AbundanceofKatherines · 12/12/2025 09:00

Happy Friday lovely losers.

Loving the updates :) I hope all are
managing the festive temptations.

Friday weigh in for me and I have lost 0.4lbs. I’m happy with that as it was my work Christmas do last Friday and I managed to eat the starter, most of the turkey dinner (just left a couple of roast potatoes and half the pig in blanket), the pudding was revolting though so I was spared those calories. However I made up for them with much Prosecco and several baby Guinness 😳 Carbs were needed on Saturday to aid recovery 🤕 It was a great evening! I loved wearing a slinky party dress, was happy to be in the photos (not hiding at the back) and danced for hours. The last two years I haven’t danced and have slunk off early to avoid the embarrassment of shaking my considerable booty on the dance floor.

@Coventree, you’re so good at remembering us all and showing interest! I always think I will but the names become a blur and I run out of time. You asked how cold turkey is going… It’s okay. Better than expected. I was quite hungry on Sunday and Monday but that might have been a hang over from the hangover 🤪 The rest of the week has been fine - I’ve been sticking to my eating plan and have not been tempted by any treats or alcohol. So all good so far. I also think I’m sleeping better and have more energy. Interestingly, in the last week my resting heart rate has dropped back down to pre MJ levels - Usually quite low (around 48-52) was around 10 bpm higher while jabbing.

When I was hungry on Sunday and Monday I was tempted to start one of my spare pens but I resisted and am glad I didn’t jab.

Current level (according to Shotsy) is 0.76mg.

SW 12st 7.5 (BMI 31.1)
CW 8st 11.5 (BMI 21.9)

Another big do tonight - I’ll try to be a little more restrained (not really 😂). Enjoy any festivities you have planned.

Kat x

Crunchymum · 12/12/2025 10:28

Hello all,

Have just succumbed to the first festive treat. Managed to source a pack of cinnamon knots from Waitrose and had to partake.

I won't be banning anything and I'll still jab but I'm hopeful it won't be too damaging as I feel much more able to moderate sweet stuff now.

Weigh-in day for me too and it's -1.5lbs today. Which takes me to 4st lost (well 4st and 0.5lb to be precise) and I finally have a healthy BMI after teetering just in the "overweight" category for ages.

I have a family meal with the inlaws next week so took myself off to H&M and fit comfortably into their medium so I have a new skirt and a fluffy, sparkly jumper.

Still struggling to believe and accept this is all real. But it is and I've been hard at it for many months now so I need to get my head in the game. I'm officially not fat anymore.

AbundanceofKatherines · 12/12/2025 11:06

Yay @Crunchymum- that’s such fab news! 🎉

Zebracat · 13/12/2025 11:06

Weigh day today. 83.8. I’m so happy, that’s a kilo lost this week, best in months. I’ve kind of got one more week before Christmas starts in earnest. Aim is to stay at 83 something.

Merlin23 · 13/12/2025 12:57

Weigh in day yesterday
Lost 1lb
SW 202lbs
CW 129lbs
Total loss 73lbs
Never thought I would be in the 120's
Hoping to get to 125lbs. Then start to relax a little. I see 130lbs as my buffer. I love wearing size 12s

Well done everyone on another fab week We are nearly through the festive season! We have got this!

slightlysmallerPoisonIvy · 13/12/2025 23:25

Well done! @AbundanceofKatherines @Crunchymum @Zebracat @Merlin23

@Crunchymum Congrats on reaching a healthy bmi!!!

@AbundanceofKatherines Sounds like a fab night dancing in your slinky dress!!!

I lost 1.1lbs this week, very pleased with that after two weeks of very small losses and I moved down a bmi level! I'm still obese but I'm under 35 bmi and down to level 1 obesity 😂
Can't quite believe I am losing weight in December, usually I would have been rapidly gaining for the whole month but we're almost halfway through the month and I am losing weight instead?!!! I'm sure I will eventually give in to tempation and indulge a bit but I plan to jab as normal and log every calorie and hopefully stay in control. If I maintain or even gain a few lbs I'm ok with that, it won't be anywhere near as bad as previous years.

BeachBodyAim · 14/12/2025 08:50

SW 17.7
CW 13.1
Week 32????? Loss 1lb
Total loss 4st 6lb

Happy with a 1lb loss!!!
The biscuits/chocolates/cakes are in abundance at work and I’ve not felt the need/urge to have a single one (they just don’t appeal to me on MJ) Previously I would have been stuffing my face and polishing off hundreds and hundreds of calories everyday!!
NSV I brought and comfortably got into smaller jeans this week and honestly I felt bloody fantastic!!!! loving the new size me!!!!
Well done everyone on the losses and NSV’s!!
have a fantastic week!!!

dozywelshbird · 14/12/2025 09:35

wow, some absolutely amazing losses, especially this close to Christmas, which I would have imagined a lot of us would have previously struggled with, really well done 😁

wlinewbie0425 · 14/12/2025 10:06

Well done on all the festive losses @BeachBodyAim@slightlysmallerPoisonIvy@Merlin23@Zebracat@Crunchymum@AbundanceofKatherinesand everyone I’ve missed or who posted further back!

Everyone is doing so so well! 🥳🎉👏 In the hardest month where previously we probably gained 0.5-1 stone easily!

I am looking forward to weighing myself in the new year to do a full year comparison (I did lose a bit before starting Mj in April) I am currently 1lb away from 4.5stone since last new year, my all time heaviest, which is hard to comprehend. Even if I maintain or gain a few lbs, Jan 2025 me could not have believed that Jan 2026 me would be over 4 stone lighter - it’s been a life changing year.

keep on enjoying your festive celebrations, in moderation and wearing your new sized clothes - I just bought a new Christmas jumper - I picked up the medium - then realised I needed the small 😃!

I also this week I also sorted out all my fat clothes ready for the charity shop. I had been keeping them in suitcases but decided it is time to believe and commit to never needing them again. I do now believe it - if I can’t do it myself I will always have the support of mj or even better meds that will follow in the coming years.

Weekly weigh day and it's 0.8lb this week. My slow but sure pace continues 🙄 I'm not too bothered that the weight is going slowly, but I do worry about the overall financial cost of getting to my goal, and the constant moving providers to get the new starter discounts is a pain!

Finally got our Christmas decs up yesterday and with that comes the never emptying sweetie bowl! By some miracle I had 5 Heroes while I watched a film last night, and that's all I wanted, then I woke up at 1am crippled with heartburn so I've decided it wasn't even worth it. Last December I'd have polished off the box (minus the eclairs 🤣).

Got a work Christmas lunch this week, but not really concerned about that, I'm not worried about overindulging at all this Christmas to be honest which is a really nice feeling. I am going to be a January cliche though and try to get on track with exercising regularly as I think that's what I'm really lacking to make permanent changes to my lifestyle.

PeachSnail · 15/12/2025 07:15

Morning - happy last week of term before Christmas! It's all starting to get a bit crazy now, isn't it! 🤪🎄☃️❄️. Hope everyone is managing to get themselves organised and that you're looking forward to some time off!

Weigh day for me...
SW 87.65kg
CW 69.1kg
GW 65kg

So that's 0.6kg off this week. Gosh... Feeling like goal weight is really in touching distance now. Pretty hard to believe!

@wlinewbie0425 I was also thinking about my weight last Christmas and according to my records I was 90.5kg in January this year. So I'd just tipped into being obese and prediabetic. I had a really nice Christmas last year, but I remember eating everything and not holding back at all! I felt pretty awful about myself in the cold light of day in January. This year, I'm really looking forward to indulging myself and enjoying Christmas but having on "off switch" so I don't take things too far!! It's such a relief not having to worry about exerting willpower when there's so much temptation!

Anyway, the other exciting news is that I actually bought a pair of size 10 jeans from M&S last week. That was a bit of a wow moment... However, they were quite a loose style and when I tried on a size 10 in a different style they were definitely too tight! So... While I'm "technically" wearing size 10 jeans, I think their sizing might be a bit off 😆... Well, I'm claiming it anyway 🤣🔟✅

BudgieMom · 15/12/2025 10:52

Week 33 weigh in and its 1lb off this week! I've got 8lbs to the target I set myself so I'll see how I feel then whether I lower the target or go into maintenance. Well done everyone on all the great losses especially at this time of year. I hope you all have an awesome week 😊

Merlin23 · 15/12/2025 11:08

@PeachSnail
Congratulations on your loss! I have M&S combats that I love and they are a size 12 and way to big but I have M&S shorts size 12 that are skin tight. The combats are supposed to be baggy but they feel like they'll fall down.
Enjoy your time off. I wok in a nursery finish at 4 on Christmas Eve. But the way my days work I have 12 days off. I need it!

cannyvalley · 15/12/2025 19:47

Hi all.

well done everyone. December is treat strewn and can be so hard , but we are still going!!!

After a week off MJ I decided to do weekly jabs again, so I’m back to usual Sunday jab day….turns out I’m not quite ready to take the plunge of titration.

Work is manic and it’s this time of year when I would usually eat handfuls of office Xmas treats , as I don’t have time for a lunch break. I’m not really tempted and have instead been keeping my fruit bowl in the car 🤣

I did ‘bake off’ with the family at the weekend and ate teeny portion of all the entries. Still suffered a bit with feeling sick and heartburn… I blame my own entry of Xmas pudding style truffles !!

1lb off this week. Slow and steady.

Still getting used to being smaller, enjoying wearing size small jumpers and dressing to be warm rather than feeling like I’m hiding my shape in loose/baggy clothes. The size 10 cords (size 10!!!!) are fitting really nicely these days and are rarely off.

im trying to imagine what clothes I will be wearing in the summer and am drawing a blank. It’s nice to ponder though.

wendywoopywoo222 · 15/12/2025 20:54

I’ve lost one more pound this week so that’s 5 stone 1. I would usually be buying and replacing treats by now but as my partner is also on montjaro we have decided to get in food and treats for the grandkids for when they come over and stick to having nothing else naughty around.

there is still chocolate in the fridge from my birthday in October which is totally unheard off.

well done everyone 👏🎉

Merlin23 · 16/12/2025 20:50

Haven't eaten anything different the last few days!
But the sulphur burps are back and driving me crazy. I'm back in work tomorrow 🤞they are gone by the morning!

Coventree · 17/12/2025 07:21

Well done on all the fab losses - those 1lbs here and there add up to such a difference over time 👏.

I have lost…0lbs this week…again. That’s 3 weeks on the trot now that I’ve been the same weight on weigh in day. I know that’s okay, I know I’m not putting weight on, but it’s a little…frustrating, if I’m being honest! Oh well, I shall trust the process and keep going.

Got the big 5-0 coming up on Monday 🎉 though, so with Christmas as well, I’ll probably be relieved if I manage to maintain over the next two weeks 🤣

dozywelshbird · 17/12/2025 09:27

I'll join you @Coventree in the no loss club this week, but I'm blaming a period from hell arriving on Monday for that 😫

Happy Big 5-0 birthday for Monday, its not that bad honestly 😁enjoy your day

hope those burps have disappeared @Merlin23 😖

StartingApril2025 · 18/12/2025 22:42

No loss club for me this week again , in fact half a pound on! First gain ! The desire to eat chocolate has returned with vengeance and I am sad to say I have had zero will power- have eaten more chocolate in the last week than in total since April. Need to get a grip of myself as we haven’t even got into the Christmas festivities fully. Well done to everyone who had had losses recently and for those who are doing their best on the daily! ❤️ I need to order my next pen and unsure what to do, to go up to 7.5mg or remain at 5mg and tirade down slowly as was my originally plan and try and muster up some willpower.

Coventree · 18/12/2025 23:31

Aww, thanks @dozywelshbird and @StartingApril2025 - your sacrifice to keep me company in the no loss club is greatly appreciated 😉. But let’s all give ourselves a Christmas kick up the bum and get back on track…we can do this 💪

Crunchymum · 19/12/2025 08:23

Happy Birthday for Monday @Coventree
Hope you have a fab day!

Hope everyone else is doing well even if the weightloss has stalled a little? We've all come so far!!

I've had another -1.5lb loss this week which at this stage in the game is fantastic (I'm just 3.5lbs way from original goal). I have however been taken out but this horrible virus doing the rounds... it's not quite flu but feels worse than a usual cold and I've hardly eaten since Monday. Also got my period this morning, almost a week early. Feeling rather pathetic I must say.

Going to jab as normal (Sunday) but not sure I'm going to weigh-in over the festive period.

SW: 187.5lb
CW: 129.5lb
GW: 126lb (may tweak this to 120lb as 126lb is top end of healthy for my height!)

Planning to enjoy the food over Christmas but not to eat excessively. I actually find it quite difficult to eat too much these days so I'm hopeful.

I'll pop on closer to the big day but wishing everyone a happy and healthy lead up to the main event 🎄

violetmondays · 19/12/2025 08:43

Happy 50th birthday for Monday @Coventree 🎉🥳🎁🥂

dozywelshbird · 19/12/2025 08:46

wow @Crunchymum so close to goal 😃 hope you are feeling better soon, how rotten to get your period on top of feeling ill

I decided to weigh again today after my early hellish period and pleased to report a 2lb loss, hurrah, so that's 41lb in total.

I haven't been too bad with the food yet, what I am noticing is the lack of alcohol consumption, I have always loved my wine / cocktails etc, but I'm finding after 1 or 2 I feel pretty rotten, plus on the odd occasion I have overindulged (i.e. about 4 drinks) I have felt shite the next day. Not a bad thing at all, just a very different run up to what Xmas is usually like for me 😜
