First post ever, posting out of curiosity and wondering if anyone else is trying this…

soooo hit perimenopause, put on a stone, not a big deal in grand scheme of things, but hate clothes not fitting and not feeling right in my body.

I’m generally healthy and do the right things, strength training, hiit, steps, eat well, mainly veggie, drink lots of water….

also can be an emotional eater and think / overthink about food a lot, and live with a lovely man with a much faster metabolism than my poor old peri one!

anyway, I read an article about microdosing Mounjaro, starting at 0,5mg…called clinic and am 2 weeks in, just moved to 2mg. Had no side effects and defo been less hungry and shifted a couple of pounds already.

it may sound daft but feels lovely to start feeling like myself again!

would love to know if anyone else is doing something similar, how it’s going and anything long term they’re thinking about.

btw I get send exact doses so no clicking of pens, just inject the amount in the needle x

@Geordielass78 that’s a fantastic result! Well done!

I shall keep going and hope it starts to show soon! I haven’t really changed what I eat, more eating less of it, although I’ve been having far fewer sugary snacks and junk food as it now makes me feel nauseous. Maybe I need to cut carbs too, did you change what you ate very much? I actually feel like I could cut carbs now, I never could before, but the cravings are much less. Only a week and 3 days in a suppose so need to be patient.

Hello @Placeithere

Im not a massive bread/carb person so haven’t changed my eating habits much as generally pretty healthy, mainly veggie and don’t eat much junk food, I’ll have homemade soup / chilli / curry all normal stuff, but veggies instead of carbs or less carbs.

saying that, I was ravenous today and happily devoured a massive sausage barn from our local food market! 😂 but only just hungry from that now and having a Thai noodle soup for tea, but with aubergine and butternut squash instead of noodles x

@trying29

you’ll be fine x clinic was really good at checking in how I’ve been going and asking if I wanted to move up a dose. TBH I’m getting married next year so want to maintain my weight loss, and not just because of that but generally feel like me again, will look to lower dose and see how I get on.

i feel fine on 2mg, but also mindful I don’t want to go below a certain weight. Going to focus on fitness and eating well and enjoying the relief of not thinking about food all the time, feeling happy in my body and being back in my clothes! X
