Well, well, well. I just bought a pair of jeans in a size 12! I'll caveat by saying they are barrel leg so have a bit more room for a junky truck. But omg i was wearing 22 and the occaisional 24 when we started.

HumBumBum · 24/10/2025 20:58

Same Spotty Bum, I love my barrels!!

ILoveLeopard245 · 09/11/2025 04:44

Love barrels too!
I am now sitting at 9 stone after starting at just a shade under 17. I think im going to stop losing weight now- I’m managing to wear size 8/10 clothes and it’s so nice being able to go to normal shops and know things will fit and look ok.
I didn’t think I’d ever manage to lose the weight, so it feels so great. But now the real journey of maintaining and learning how to live in this body begins. I’ve no idea what I’m doing med wise but I’ve still got 3 pens anyway.

Sampler · 09/11/2025 16:34

I’m going to stop when I finish this pen @ILoveLeopard245 and I’m the same weight as you now ! I am shit scared but my ALT readings were up and I’m unsure if it’s related or not. Either way I don’t want to lose anymore as my face is a bit creased looking and hair isn’t great. I did everything slowly, carefully, macros all counted and exercised 5 days a week but… anyway I have 4 pens stashed in the fridge if it all goes badly. Wishing you luck and hope we manage this 🤞🏼

Mosmam · 30/11/2025 07:25

I feel I have reached my target finally. BMI around 20. I am with Voy and they seem to be suggesting maintenance by switching to Wegovy. Has anyone done this and how was it? I’m on 15ml and not really losing anymore but would like to try to reduce the dose. I’m a bit suspicious that they are suggesting this. I am aware that as a longer term customer they are ‘subsidizing’ the Mounjaro and wonder if this is their motivation?

HumBumBum · 30/11/2025 11:00

Interesting @Mosmam but I think it’s their bottom line they’re trying to protect as the cost of 15mg is astronomical now compared to Wegovy (and I’m thinking I might switch when I get to maintenance, which is a few months away still, but I don’t pay a monthly fee).

There’s someone I follow on Insta who is at maintenance and was switched by Voy who says it feels the same, but she’s clearly getting compensated by Voy so take with a pinch of salt!

I have an interesting problem and was wondering if anyone else has found this? I am now 6 and half stone down, and at goal weight. I have been there for nearly 3 months and am titrating down from 7.5mg. Last injection was 5mg. I am starting to get appropriately hungry again which I think is a good sign. However, even when I haven't eaten for a long time, say 12 hours or so, and I am properly hungry, I can't face eating. There have been days on end when I have only eaten about 300calories. This is on sustainable and of course I am loosing weight rapidly.

My next injection is due on Thursday and I am going to try 2.5mg to see if that is better. Has anyone else had this problem?

20bloodypounds · 29/12/2025 15:10

@Itisallgoingtobeok certainly go down to 2.5mg, but if you still feel the same then why don't you stop all together for a while? It doesn't have to be for ever just until you get at least some interest in food back again. Also, it is possible that before you started MJ your metabolism was a bit f'ked. It is likely that now, at goal weight, it is working like a normal metabolism should, feeling hungry, then feeling satiated when you've eaten. It may be that at your current weight you don't need MJ to regulate your appetite?

On other threads I've seen a couple of people who kept on losing beyond their goal weight when they were trying to maintain.

And try adding healthy fats to things to up the calories a bit of mayonniase on a chicken sandwich, sardines on toast, avocado or guacamole, full fat greek yogurt with nuts and seeds for breakfast, olives and nuts to nibble on.

I am on 2.5mg - alternating one month on and one month off to get back in touch my real feelings and needs, while still having the MJ safety net (which really helped me avoid the Christmas excesses and sugary stuff). When I'm taking MJ I find that I can quite easily be put off foods - feeling a bit yuk about things that I'd previously have enjoyed. I've become quite a picky eater, it feels like some of the enjoyment of food goes away. I still think I'm excited by food and have enjoyed planning and cooking over the festive period, but it doesn't take much of a wrong texture or taste to have me pushing things away, Reassuringly my interest and enjoyment come back when I'm not on MJ, and I seem to be managing OK with my appetite.

EBoo80 · 17/01/2026 11:36

Hi everyone - wanted to check in and say hello, as there’s been so much stuff in the press about WLI with the usual moral panics and uninformed views. Wondered how we’re all doing - has everyone now reached goal weight or some still fully on MJ and losing?
I’ve been off totally since August (took a month of in July then one extra one). I'm feeling cheery this morning as had put on about 4-5lbs over Christmas and they’ve now come off. I find it really reassuring that I can see that when I drink and treat myself, weight does go on, and that I know how to bring it back off and can do that. Feeling in control of my choices for first time ever. I really hope everyone is ok, esp with all the stresses of potentially switching to wegovy for those still on.

20bloodypounds · 17/01/2026 16:38

@EBoo80 that all sounds very positive. I'm still doing one month on and one month off. I was glad to have MJ over the festive.period as it help me to manage any temptations to overindulge. We'll see how this year goes, but I can well imagine taking MJ again next Christmas fo a little bit of extra help. I just need to manage maintenance ordering with my pharmacy.

HumBumBum · 17/01/2026 17:10

Lovely to hear from you @EBoo80and great to hear it’s possible to stop taking and manage weight (I suspect I will need to be a long term user though). I still didn’t reach target and still carrying (small) Christmas weight gain but I’m ok with both of those things, it’s nothing major considering how far I’ve come - 13lbs to target. I expect to be there by March.

EBoo80 · 18/01/2026 09:13

Hi @20bloodypounds - I would have been quite up for month on month off but Oushk were not supportive (despite Hira having suggested it verbally in a consultation). I couldn’t be bothered arguing, and still often think I would be tempted by a pen for December and July - my two big risk months.
@HumBumBum have you managed to absorb the price increases or do you have saved up pens? That was another off-putting thing for me as it happened just as I was tapering. But yes, I do feel something has reset in me and I’m so much clearer now about how booze and snacking are my downfall.

HumBumBum · 18/01/2026 09:44

I’ve enough old stock to last until March and then I just bought a new 5mg to begin a tapering down after that (a new supplier offered a great deal just before Christmas). If I can manage on a couple of 2.5mg a year then I think I can afford it (or I’ll switch, we’ll see!)

SybillaB · 18/01/2026 11:41

Hi everyone. My last injection was 4th October by which time I’d lost 3.5 stone. Since then I have gained and lost the same 2lb. I still log everything I eat so I’m aware of my calorie intake. I want to lose a couple of stone as my BMI is 31 but I’m happy with my size. I had a 2.5 MJ jab yesterday to see if it has any effect.

EBoo80 · 18/01/2026 14:31

That’s great @SybillaB - well done you. I certainly found the one random pen I did after summer was brilliantly effective. It was like my first ever pen. But I never went beyond 5mg as seem quite responsive to it.

ILoveLeopard245 · 10/02/2026 01:01

Just checking in - is anyone still here? I now weigh the same weight as I have lost in total- 8stone 7pounds! Definitely at goal now and trying to work out how to maintain. Started to taper down the doses.
how’s everyone getting on

7Purpleheartsarmy · 10/02/2026 06:33

hi there im almost 7 stone down which brings me to the 13's so still a little way to go!
im struggling with the higher doses with dizzyness and my blood pressure going low so taking myself back down to 7.5 which seems to be my safe dose although not great for the food noise i will battle on 🙂 congratulations on your loss thats fantastic! x

20bloodypounds · 10/02/2026 08:54

I've been maintaining at around the same weight since August. I'm on 2.5mg and doing one month on and one month off. Seems to be working for me.

HumBumBum · 13/02/2026 15:12

Hi all, congrats @ILoveLeopard245that sounds like the perfect place to stop!

im still here @7Purpleheartsarmy too with 10lbs to go until normal BMI (have lost 85 so far, my main target is 95, but I know I’d prefer to be able to say 100lb lost!)

im on 7.5mg still microdosing, although I’m up to 53 clicks now so nearly at full dose, cannot afford to go up so will just have to see how it goes. Lovely to hear from the OG’s on this group x

HippoPortlyMouse · 13/02/2026 16:23

It's been nearly 18 months now hasn't it? I'm maintaining, or trying to. Weight goes on, I get strict, it comes off, I wonder if I'm basically just yo-yo dieting, only it's a few lbs not several stone this time.

@7Purpleheartsarmyhope you can find the sweet spot between effectiveness & side effects!

@ILoveLeopard245 That's amazing, you lost half of you! Maintenance is a different ball game and I haven't worked out how to do it effectively on a low dose yet, fingers x'd for you.

@20bloodypounds well done on finding your maintenance path. Do you find your weight goes up & down when you're off/on the meds or is it pretty constant?

@HumBumBum Oh life would be much easier if the medication wasn't so expensive wouldn't it! All of us thinking how we can titrate down to the lowest possible dose when what we really need to be doing is finding the most effective dose, but when hundreds of pounds are involved... yeah.

Orangesandlemons77 · 13/02/2026 16:29

I'm doing ok still lost five stone been maintaining since Aug using 15mg pens but taking 5mg a week. Been forgetting to take it though some weeks.

Am not exercising much due to chronic illness but intermittent fasting has become the norm for me and haven't noticed a big return in appetite so far. A bit more of a craving for sweets and chocolate though. Have always had a bit of a sweet tooth before taking mounjaro when it went away.

Still feeling grateful for doing this when I did as couldn't afford to start it now. Feeling better for the weight loss and blood pressure is down as well.

SybillaB · 13/02/2026 18:28

I have kept within 2lb of my lowest weight since stopping jabs last October. I’ve decided to start again to see if I can lose another stone.

flobbynomore · 16/02/2026 23:52

I’ve been maintaining since September on 5mg. I keep putting on a couple of lb and then losing them. I do find that despite staying on the drug I have more appetite and am more inclined to snack than previously, it’s as though the drug has lost some of its magic. I never went above 5mg and lost 3st over a year; basically I stopped losing round about goal weight (22 bmi) so I just stayed on 5mg. I fear I’m on it for life - I’m sure I’d regain if I came off it, I feel like it’s only just keeping a lid on things. It’s disappointing as to begin with, I felt like food was mostly irrelevant and I’d like that feeling back! Anyone else feel like they need the jabs now just to maintain, and that they don’t work the same?

HippoPortlyMouse · 17/02/2026 07:36

@flobbynomore your experience has been really similar to mine. I feel like the meds are working, but not in the same way they did at the start. I put it down to me being a much lower weight, and my body wanting to regain, so the food noise is higher, but I'm guessing.

I think I'm a lifer as well. And glad I never needed to take the higher doses! But like you I gain a couple of pounds, then lose a couple, and definitely feel like I'm doing battle with cravings a bunch of the time now.

etchedinstone · 17/02/2026 08:02

Yes, me too. Lost 6 stone and now maintaining on 5mg. If I don’t really try then I can quite easily binge on crap, even the day after the jab.

I’ve been taking it for 14 months now and fear coming off it.
