Weigh in day for me today 4lbs down! So the ball is definitely rolling again after the stall.

SW: 20st
CW: 16st 2lb
GW: 11st 7lb

im closing in on the 4 stone loss which is exciting. And after that I’ll be almost half way to goal so plenty of milestones to look forward to.

I don’t have any events coming up through the autumn which are mini goals but obviously I’d love to be at maybe 14st7 by the Caribbean cruise I’ve booked for Christmas and new year. I’m feeling really positive after breaking through the set weight ‘barrier’. really comfortable on my current dose too. Suppression a noise reduction are still great and I’m not really having any side effects. I’m split dosing 8mg, so injecting 4mg twice a week.

@popdepopBoss is right it woukd be 80 clicks. The pen only does max 60 clicks at a time so 2 40 clicks would do it (or a 60/20)

Deadringer · 13/09/2025 13:02

Lovely to read all these great weight loss stories! I am down 2 stone (my first major goal) and happy with that as I have a very slow metabolism. Two more pounds and I will no longer be obese, just overweight, yay! I took the golden dose last week for the first time with no problems, I will definitely keep doing that as long as there is enough in the pens. Keep up the good work everyone!

I really need to figure out how to do the golden dose, I dont feel confident at all. ive asked about it begore but am not sure which needles to get to extract and inject. It sounds complicated 😕

Fairfaxandflavor · 13/09/2025 16:16

@popdepop ,its not complicated, look at you tube vids, fat old climber, my life's toil, both show you how. You need a 1ml syringe from UK medi, take 0.6 for a full dose,, scrupulously clean the rubber seal introduce the needle into the red seal, draw up 0.6, prime, knock out bubbles, inject at a slight angle as the needles are longer voila! my life's toil is a hcp himself and initially scorned the golden dose, however he takes it now, it's just throwing money away otherwise. I've done it since my first pen, never had any problems.

Puddingpiper · 13/09/2025 16:20

@popdepopyou can get the needles and syringes from UK medi I have avoided the Amazon ones as they are not designed and packaged for people however many use them.

I got 1ml unifix luer lock syringe
32g pink 4mm meso-relle mesotherapy needle

I have had no issues have to be patient drawing the fluid from the vial. Hurts less than the pen and easier to plunge in comparison to the clunky pen.

0.6ml is a full dose drawn from the pen

Deadringer · 13/09/2025 16:35

@popdepop I know a lot of people avoid the amazon ones but I bought them there, I just typed in insulin needles and so many people in the reviews mentioned that they were using them for their golden dose that I decided to chance them. I thought it seemed a bit complicated but i had no problem at all and am raging I didn't do it sooner. I don't know if mumsnet will allow it but I will put up a screenshot of the ones I bought.

@Fairfaxandflavor I love my life's toil I find his videos really sensible, balanced and informative.

@popdepop i use UK Medi for my golden dose syringes.

Bit of an nsv today at the gym, I haven't been to tbe actual gym bit for a while I usually swim instead but today I fancied the gym. On the rower I noticed that I didn't have to have my legs so far apart to accommodate my stomach and actually could nearly have them touching although it was more comfortable to keep them apart as I still have an "apron belly" which to be fair after 4dc is par for tbe course probably !

Happy Sunday all

weekly weigh in , 6 months in day after tomorrow

SW 115 kg /18.1 st
CW 92.3 kg / 14.5 st
GW 12 st

Loss this week 1.3 kg /2.8 lb
Total loss 22.7 kg/ 50 lb
21% body weight lost and 60% of goal reached , BMI 30.1(down from 37)

after a 3 week stall , and very odd start to the week with extreme hunger but with loss and changing injection site to thighs for first time , MJ is back as normal since Friday. Amazed to have a whosh after a stall and makes me continue believing in the magic potion.

FrozenFractal · 14/09/2025 14:03

I have lost my daughter. All 39 pounds of her 😅 I lift her up and can’t comprehend how this much was on me, around my hips and waist.

sw 231lb
cw 192lb
gw 155lb

Fatmumslim01 · 14/09/2025 14:45

Does anyone use voy?

Someone I follow on YouTube has a code for 30% off in September which would make my 7.5mg £195 which seems quite good. I don't think I'll use any of the extras though on the app etc I have enough apps cluttering up my phone and head as it is 😂

And id have to remember to cancel the minute I received the pen but it seems a good price?

Hey 👋
That's really interesting. Do you think you get better suppression in your thigh?

Sloelydoesit · 15/09/2025 02:14

I have got to the point where I look really different. Fully clothed it's a good thing. Boobs look terrible. Thighs also not great!! 2 X c section tummy also not pretty!!
But all better than being fat and unhealthy!😀
There is always surgery after 😍

Bipaloss · 15/09/2025 07:31

MJ122025 · 14/09/2025 19:54

Hey 👋

to be honest no. I have been injecting in tummy all along for six months and read somewhere that if you keep injecting in the same place you will eventually get scar tissue from the jab and it won’t be as effective, also if you inject in fat “balls” or stretch marks. I think that’s why it worked better for me in thighs and whole reason why I never done it there, I’m a chicken literally and physically 🤣
(Skinny legs and big tummy no matter what weight)

GameOfJones · 15/09/2025 09:11

Morning all!

Another 1lb lost which is bringing me very close to goal now. I still can't believe it really. I must weigh my 8 year old and 6 year old and see how much I've lost in comparison to how heavy they are 🤣.

SW: 14st

CW: 10st 11lbs

GW: 10st 7lbs

I'm still moving down the doses trying to wean myself off gradually. Currently jabbing 3.75mg and feeling zero effects although it's obviously still going to be in my system. I've started using the Zoe Daily 30 supplement (a scoop of 30 dried plants) most days with my meals instead. The aim is it is supposed to increase fibre intake and add plant variety for your gut. I definitely notice a positive impact on my digestion since I've been taking it.

It is expensive, but nowhere near as expensive as Mounjaro so I've decided to treat myself to it for a few months to see if it helps regulate my appetite. It does seem to be so far, so fingers crossed it helps me with maintenance.

GiveMeWordGames · 15/09/2025 09:49

Morning. Well done all of you nearing goal, and @Bipaloss on ending your stall. You and I are on a quite similar trajectory.

Oh and I'm joining in the annoyance at my favourite comfy loungewear now falling off me. I mean, obviously it's an NSV and a good thing but still...!😬

After 25 weeks, currently on 7.5.

SW 17st 4
CW 13st 6.75
GW 11-12st.

I've only lost 1.25 this week but 3.75 over the last 2 weeks so the average is still good. Total lost now 53.75 lbs which I'm MORE than happy with. Getting awfully close to 4 stone off.

@GameOfJones I'm interested to hear how well the Zoe stuff works. It's a while away for me yet but I do worry about coming off.

Buscake · 15/09/2025 10:19

I feel quite emotional but today I weighed in at 69.5kg and at 167cm this means my BMI is 24.9 - healthy for the first time in about 20years (I’m 40). Truly genuinely did not think it would be possible for me to ever reach this point. I am aiming to get to about 65kg and then maintain.

I look completely different. My frame is narrower, my waist is back, my tummy has shrunk, my thighs are slim and my face looks truly unrecognisable.

for anyone out there feeling disheartened or that the goals you have set may be unrealistic or unattainable, keep going. Keep following the process.

SW 96.1kg
CW 69.5kg
GW 65kg

soupforbrains · 15/09/2025 11:35

It’s lovely seeing everyone making such great progress. Both those with some way to go like me, and the many of you who are at or very close to your goals.

im feeling a bit puzzled because I originally set my goal weight based on the NHS height/weight chart. I have such a long way to go that I set my goal weight at the top edge of the healthy bracket for my height. BUT this weekend I looked up the chart online again as I wanting to check where the ‘boundaries’ were between overweight/obese etc. and the chart now gives a significantly lower weight as the top end of the healthy range for my height! I am already targeting a total loss of 8 and a half stone, which feels at times like an unclimbable mountain, let alone if I now have to lower the goal weight even further to try and be in the healthy bracket. Has anyone else used these charts for their goal setting and has anyone else noticed a change?

GiveMeWordGames · 15/09/2025 11:45

@soupforbrains I tend to use the BHF BMI online calculator, just because it allows stones and feet/inches and I get bored converting everything each time otherwise. It's stayed consistent. I also sometimes go to Smart BMI which takes age into account too, in the sense of being cautious of going too low post menopause.

Which one are you using? I can try it out.

lastapache · 15/09/2025 11:47

I've always used the NHS BMI calculator. It has stayed consistent over the years.

soupforbrains · 15/09/2025 11:50

@GiveMeWordGameswell Thats the thing. The chart which used to be available on the NHS page has been replaced with a new one. The old one used to have actual lines and for my height 11st7 was right on the line between overweight and healthy.

on the new chart on NHS inform it’s all in boxes and seems to say 11st1 which is almost a half a stone lower. Www.nhsinform.scot/healthy-living/food-and-nutrition/healthy-eating-and-weight-management/body-mass-index-bmi/

soupforbrains · 15/09/2025 11:51

The actual bmi calculator suggests 11st5 which is at least closer to my previous one and can be account for by graphing fluctuations/interpretation.

GiveMeWordGames · 15/09/2025 12:17

Ah, I see, so they've chunked it up into brackets of 5lb which is probably meant to simplify things but means it's lost the subtlety around the borders of healthy/overweight/obese.

ALSO I find those kind of graphs hard to read at the best of times. 🤓I end up tracing my fingers slowly along each axis and then to the meeting point like a child.

GameOfJones · 15/09/2025 14:41

@GiveMeWordGames I'll definitely give an update on Zoe Daily 30. Part of me thinks I'm using it as a crutch because I still feel like I actively need to be using some sort of product to help me in maintenance. So I've just swapped the Mounjaro jabs for the Zoe supplement as some sort of placebo effect.

I suppose the other part of me thinks that sprinkling some wholefoods onto my meals each day isn't going to hurt. It tastes pretty nice to be honest (had it on avocado toast for lunch) and means I'm eating things I wouldn't normally (baobab and lion's mane mushroom powder anyone?) 🤣
