Lots of very useful discussions going on on the old thread, so I thought I would continue it!

Yes, I got that too. £309 for 15mg is just unaffordable now for me as I've been losing very slowly (approx 1kg per month with 15kg still to go so £309 x another 15 months is crazy, never mind any maintenance I was previously considering) so I don't think I can justify it any more.

It would amount to around a further £4,635 to potentially get to target after spending roughly £1,400 so far to lose 23 kilos. After losing the £40 per month discount when they stopped the referral codes, it had already become very expensive.

It would be cheaper at those prices for someone to go to Turkey and have bariatric surgery.

not that I’m recommending that or saying anyone needs to have that done. Just highlighting how crazy it is that surgery may be a cheaper option!

Mencia · 22/08/2025 19:29

Boots have also released new pricing for MJ and Wegovy. Cannot post it now, Will do later.

spanieleyes · 22/08/2025 19:34

We need a spreadsheet thread, just to add new prices and suppliers into!

Fatbride · 22/08/2025 16:56

I'm surprised at the Med express prices, I really thought they'd be a bit lower. I'm on 15mg now and am really unsure what to do going forward.

Husband and I will be moving over to Wegovy.

StrikeForever · 22/08/2025 19:46

QuebecBagnet · 22/08/2025 18:25

I see medexpress have also said prices may go up before Sept if they run out of old stock before then.

Only on their 2.5mg as far as I can tell.

Fatbride · 22/08/2025 19:55

From Reddit. Has anyone used any of these cheaper ones?

Yes, I’ve used Medicine Marketplace for months and found them excellent. Unfortunately they’re currently completely out of stock but that will presumably change after 1 September.

MynameisJune · 22/08/2025 20:08

New to medicine market place and they’ve taken a while to sort out dispatch but I presume that will be quicker come September so will likely stay with them unless.

QuebecBagnet · 22/08/2025 20:13

StrikeForever · 22/08/2025 19:46

That’s not how I read it.

For other dose strengths, if current supplies run out before September, they will return at the new prices once back in stock.

so if they run out of old priced stock tomorrow if it’s back in stock on Weds it’ll be the new price??

Fatbride · 22/08/2025 20:36

I've just seen elsewhere that medicine marketplace won't prescribe to me because I have hypothyroidism so that's disappointing.

NotPerfectlyAdverage · 22/08/2025 20:42

That would be shame as I was hoping to get a 15mg pen before the 1st September.

If these really are the prices and the discounts stop I will have to micro dose or crash out cold turkey.

Really hoping I can just plod on a bit longer as I have only lost 19lbs

SwitchingUpWLI · 22/08/2025 20:55

Snozzlemaid · 22/08/2025 07:46

I’m waiting on Your medicals too.

Same here 😢 nada.

SwitchingUpWLI · 22/08/2025 21:07

Catladyof7 · 22/08/2025 16:44

Terrible experience with thwm.
They seem incompetent.
First thwy took my money and i got email, saying approved.
Log in and …waiting for review .
Log in later …being packaged .
Then another email ..rejected .
Totally a bad experience in every way .
Would never use them after this anyway

I didn’t have a good experience with Cloud either so loathed to go back to them, pens poorly packaged and came warm, pen boxes were damaged. Tried to request replacement but emails were ignored and request rejected when they did eventually come back to me.

SwitchingUpWLI · 22/08/2025 21:22

I’d really like to get an extra pen before the increases. Beginning to think Your Medicals will probably come back with a reject and refund (as a new customer)

Is anyone getting success anywhere, ordering and receiving their pen as a new customer? I’m on 12.5 but could also order a 15 as been on 12.5 a while

Sounds like IQ Dr might be possible based on earlier posts

Fatbride · 22/08/2025 21:46

@SwitchingUpWLI IQ are sold out on the higher doses now unfortunately, I had a look at Monj earlier and Juniper seems to be the cheapest with stock available. I have never used them though.

Mencia · 22/08/2025 21:51

Boots from Sep 1st

Choccyface · 22/08/2025 21:53

I read it that they have 2.5 in stock - if that’s the case why have I had an email saying delay of 7-10 days and still waiting clinical review (it’ll be my 4th pen with them )

Thanks for that, just had a read on another thread and Medicine Marketplace or Swift were other possibles but not sure if they approving new customers (was hoping to get approved with one that offers maintenance)

Mencia · 22/08/2025 21:56

They called me from Boots earlier to tell me my 2.5 pen is ready for collection.
Overall, not bad. Quite fast (ordered Monday night) and have kept me up to date (two calls).

MynameisJune · 22/08/2025 21:57

Worth noting those boots prices are inclusive of discount already.

FoxRedPuppy · 22/08/2025 21:57

I don’t agree with the price rises at all. But Eli Lilly is a business, first and foremost. Perhaps as we are more used to the NHS, but pharmaceuticals is a multi million pound industry. They do it for the money, mostly. This has been done before with HIV drugs, cancer drugs.

There are no ill effects in stopping the drug suddenly, so there is no ethical issue there.

it’s totally shit, but it’s what happens in capitalism.

Mencia · 22/08/2025 21:57

By the way, Boots is now offering 12 months of “aftercare” for existing customers:

NEW: 12-month free aftercare programme
^^
^^
Successful, long-term weight loss takes more than just medicine, but we know the price changes may mean treatment is no longer an option for you.

We want to keep helping you maintain the progress you’ve made towards reaching your weight loss goals, even after treatment. That’s why we’ll support you with 12 months of free aftercare and support after you stop treatment if you’ve been with us for 6 months or more.

We’re the first provider in the UK to introduce this, after recent National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) guidelines, to make sure we’re giving you the level of care you deserve (and that you won’t get anywhere else).

For a full year, ask our clinical team anything, any time, access resources to help you stay on track and get the encouragement you.

I've just bought ftom Juniper (earlier this week). £154 for 7.5mg. I rate them, service was excellent. Just screenshot the attached - all showing as in stock.

I have a £75 voucher code for them if anyone is buying.

Does Juniper offer maintenance do you know?
