Lots of very useful discussions going on on the old thread, so I thought I would continue it!

Whilst it would be ridiculous to say that no-one on Mounjaro suffers from low mood etc, it’s likely to be correlational not causative. MHRA have confirmed they have found no evidence of a link between the drug and depression.

It’s a complicated picture - there has been a study published after the MHRA announcement that did show a significant association between GLP1 treatment and psychiatric disorders (Wegovy rather than Mounjaro though).

I've had an order approved with pharmacy2u today just in case anyone is waiting, it's for 15mg. Ordered on Thursday evening. I was also asked for further info so I've been in contact with them all day but hadn't received any emails about either about the query or about the order being approved, I've only known because I logged in.

Were you a new or repeat customer? I ordered with them on Friday and still waiting to see if approved. I have logged in loads over the weekend, can’t see any messages and had no emails since the one immediately after order completed and payment taken. What was is they needed to check? I’m worrying they announced no new customers after I had placed order on Friday. Thanks.

MynameisJune · 17/08/2025 20:13

Looks like I’ve been approved with pharmacy2u no emails but when I log on to my account it says dispatched.

I’m in the same boat. I ordered my pen on Weds, it was approved but has not been despatched and now I’ve had an email saying there are delays in despatch. I go on holiday on Tuesday so it will end up being wasted and I am worried I won’t be able to get another due to shortages.

I’m just at the start of my Mounjaro journey and its only my second pen. I know people want to stockpile but its having an impact on those of us who are just ordering normally. I was feeling so positive about this but now feel very fed up.

Is there someone who you can leave a spare key with and just ask them to put it in the fridge when it's been delivered for you? Rather than being wasted x

As a new patient it’s not yet been confirmed but I have been asked to provide them with a copy of my last prescription so at least it’s been looked at.

I applied for a 5mg pen on Friday evening and heard absolutely nothing.

I was a new customer and ordered on Thursday, was approved yesterday and the pen arrived today :) I didn't get a notification that I'd been approved though, just a RoyalMail tracking link..

NotPerfectlyAdverage · 17/08/2025 23:24

None of my orders placed on Thursday afternoon have been approved for 12.5mg.

I'm due to inject on Tuesday but I'm going to push that back until I know what's going on.

I think the vast majority of providers have pulled their codes, no?

I’m gutted as Oushk had a 10% code that I’d not been aware of and I didn’t use!

No, not all have pulled their codes .

Voy havent for a start, nor have a few others as i used one somewhere and got it at a good price .

Catladyof7 · 18/08/2025 00:02

Just a heads up , Voy have plenty of stock and taking new customers.
Taking discount codes too and honouring prices till i think it said 14th September.

susiedaisy1912 · 18/08/2025 07:15

Well I’ve just tried voy and it’s saying that Mounjaro is out of stock and it’s only offering wegovy to new customers

Time4changeagain · 18/08/2025 07:17

@susiedaisy1912 Have you tried E-surgery. Looks like they have stock.
*Edited to say they are on monj with a discount code provided

GlassofRosePorfavor · 18/08/2025 08:42

Just got a notification from lotus to say they are accepting new customers again and you can order a 4 pen bundle.

https://lotusweightloss.co.uk/get-started/

i have personally used them they support maintenance as well.

WeAllHaveWings · 18/08/2025 09:15

Oushk have opened delivery slots in September and will be current price as long as ordered by 29th August.

They have said still negotiating with supplier and will give new prices by end of week. Wonder if the extension of deliveries beyond 1st has been part of negotiations for a few pharmacies.

I imagine what Eli Lilly wanted to avoid was pharmacies buying three months’ worth of stock now, to prevent people purchasing at the new prices for three months

I don’t think so. This sounds like a conspiracy theory as it doesn’t even make sense when I unpack this.

Eli Lilly isn’t concerned about when patients place orders, as they are so far removed from those interim transactions as the manufacturer. They have already been paid by the pharmacy, regardless of whether a patient orders medication from that pharmacy today or in 3 months.

Pharmacies likely already had 3 months worth of MJ stock in their inventory when this was announced, because MJ is a popular product with a relatively long expiry date, so it makes sense that they keep extra on hand as a contingency. However their contingency stores have likely been depleted by the panic buyers. There was an artificial spike in demand leading to pharmacies being unexpectedly out of stock.

However if that didn’t happen, any old stock that pharmacies had come September would still be sold at the higher price regardless of the pharmacy sourcing those specific pens at the lower price. This is because it is industry-wide that the cost of MJ is increasing (to prevent medical tourism and to prevent overseas buyers importing UK medicines etc).

It’s not because of medical tourism.

My pharmacy2u pen was delivered this morning, ordered late Thursday evening. No emails about it until early this morning and then delivery about an hour later!

WeAllHaveWings · 18/08/2025 14:37

Oushk's main facebook group has been removed by facebook again due to too many posts about orders etc.

Oushk Maintenance facebook group has been paused to prevent it also being removed.

I hadn't realised Wegovy was another name for Ozempic!

Wegovy to be reduced in the US rather than increased here..
