Lots of very useful discussions going on on the old thread, so I thought I would continue it!

Med express have had delays for months I have seen loads of people talking about it. Delays, stalling tactics with photo requests etc.

I registered at MedExpress on Thursday, got approved an hour or so later and received the pen yesterday. It was 5mg though, so maybe it's the higher doses that are delayed?

India4 · 16/08/2025 21:03

Wishing you success.

NotPerfectlyAdverage · 16/08/2025 21:14

I'm going up to 12.5mg. Ordered with Bolt and my original supplier as soon as I heard on Thursday as I have a few doses left in my one and only pen. Not been approved for either yet and both saying delays of over a week. I'm toying with trying Med express again to see if I can get any pen before mine runs out. But I just thinking I might push my injection day back and go back to 7.5 with my current 10mg pen. If the price did triple ( who know for sure what's coming) I'd try to titrate down and off. I just hope any pen turns up in time. I'm worried they will be cancelled right now.

I ordered Thursday, was approved within. 2hrs and it's due for delivery tomorrow. Can't fault them.

Way back on this thread someone asked about Cloud.

I ordered a 15mg pen on Thursday afternoon and it was delivered about an hour ago.

Just for info.

Thank you, it was me asking. I ordered a 7.5mg pen on Thursday, it was confirmed immediately but it still hasn't been dispatched.

I am on 2.5mg, also ordered Thursday and still waiting.

I ordered 7.5mg from MedExpress on Thursday and was dispatched today. Have just had a text from Royal Mail who are delivering tomorrow.

I ordered early from boots, I'm just one jab in from my last pen. They ok'd it but I can't collect for three weeks.

Thanks for sharing, I will look into that

NotPerfectlyAdverage · 16/08/2025 23:10

The suppliers ordered my 12.5 from are showing as out of stock now on Monj. Weirdly I can't even see bolt on there right now.

I'm going to just wait it out and see. I could try to order another but I can see anyone sending a 12.5 right now

Some providers have asked for their details to be removed from the webpage temporarily as they have no stock.

NotPerfectlyAdverage · 16/08/2025 23:19

It looks like I'm not getting a pen any time soon then. Superdrug have 12.5 in stock but that would be my third try. Nothing to say they will also run out then I've spent times over and will still have no pen.

I need to sit on my hands and wait it out but it's so tempting! I do paypal pay in three so could in theory try it. My sensible head is saying not to

'People are being very rude and nasty to but from what I’ve read, there are an awful lot of GPs who agree with her and who don’t believe that weight loss jabs are the answer.'

An awful lot of GPs are as thick and poorly informed as some of the idiots on this thread.

My own GP is amongst them!

Bibulous · 16/08/2025 23:45

My GP didn't seem to know much about it or care either way. My cardiology consultant was very enthusiastic about me starting MJ.

LifeOfAShowGirl · 16/08/2025 23:46

What’s scary to me is that nearly every medical professional I’ve come into contact with since starting Mounjaro has no clue what it is! In the beginning I could understand how, but now I feel there’s no excuse.

My gp seems clued up as when I phoned about low mood she said its common on Monj as we did discuss coming off. Since I have been on holiday my mood has been great. So it's not just the medication for me

Wistfullysleepy · 17/08/2025 01:26

Mounjaro isn’t associated with low mood so weird she said that

Weepixie · 17/08/2025 03:23

@Wistfullysleepy I think if more people reported their low mood as a side effect it would soon make the list of possible adverse side effects published by Lili. Although from what I can recall it is actually on their but way down at the bottom. Anyway, my point is that you only have to read posts here to see how many people have noticed a change in their mood, not a depression, a flatness in their mood to see that in some People Mounjaro does cause a lowering of mood, or a sense of flatness. So there’s nothing weird about what Dr said at all.

Stands to reason though
Because it takes away our desire for fatty sugary food ,which would give us a dopamine hit ,ie .. make us feel good .
We are not eating that food now ,so need the dopamine hit from elsewhere.
But if we are not getting it from other places we are bound to feel flat .
Also my favourite thing to relax and treat myself, was meeting a friend for a coffee ,or going alone for coffee, since going up the doses ,I can't be bothered to go ,it's lost its appeal,I'm like ,narh ,can't be bothered..
I've read it helps people with gambling addiction, which I can see how it definitely would from my experience .
Now I get my dopamine hit from getting on the scales and seeing a loss ,plus going down sizes in clothes

I felt very flat and depressed for a day or two after my second jab (I’m in my first month). It was very noticeable and happened very quickly. It hasn’t happened since, but it was definitely a brief side effect for me.

chowmeinz · 17/08/2025 07:50

I think for every person with low mood form this I have heard as many people with a similar experience to myself which is the opposite of low mood. I have never felt so good in all my adult life. I have been through it a bit mentally and am autistic, have PTSD and ADHD but since stating MJ my mind has never been so clear. I am so genuinely happy these days, it’s like an anti depressant that actually works for me. I know that some of the new me feeling will be due to the weight I have lost, but the actual affect of MJ was pretty much instant whereas it’s taken me months to get to the weight I am now (still months to go)

Actually I should have said that although I had very low mood for a couple of days, generally my mood has been very positive and optimistic. I don’t know how much of that though is the drug itself or the fact that I am losing weight and feel in control of my eating which is contributing to me feeling great.

Pinkpelicanwinstherace · 17/08/2025 08:30

I think my mood is more tied to loosing weight
As loss on the scales can feel like Christmas day
And a gain ,can feel like I've got a dentist appointment 😃

Weepixie · 17/08/2025 08:49

just to acknowledge you post and the above in particular. I understand what you’re saying but it’s obvious that for some people it does have an effect on their mood/emotions and that standing on the scales and wearing smaller clothes doesn’t help with it. It’s two different things entirely. I wouldn’t be surprised at all, that if enough people report the effect through the yellow card scheme it will eventually appear on literature as a side effect.
