Lots of very useful discussions going on on the old thread, so I thought I would continue it!

I think they’re only honouring old prices for old customers, so any new customers will be paying the September prices from September

Have you tried ? Nothing ventured, nothing gained and it doesnt say that .
Says prices are honoured till 1st September , so probably new customers too .
Very easy to cancel with them as well,

its what I’ve seen from a few people online who have enquired - it’ll be interesting to see how it’s handled

A quick question - if you move down doses for maintenance, do you have to move down sequentially or can you drop a few doses at once? I am currently on 15mg but have actually been using less by counting clicks - is it possible to order a 5mg next as that might be more affordable? Thank you for any info.

I got the same response when I posted this. People are very aggressive on this thread.

Prescribing guidelines mean pharmacies are not allowed to prescribe without seeing a valid prescription from the last 8 weeks so I’m not sure it’s discretionary, unless they want to lose their licence.

I also raised the issue of pens losing potency - which has happened to me before. Yes, it shouldn’t happen if stored correctly, but it has happened. And Oushk were recently reprimanded for not storing at the correct temperature by the licensing inspectors

The OP gave you an unnecessarily aggressive response when you were sharing interesting safety information. Then she was criticising others for being ‘bitchy’. A shame really. There was nothing in your post to show that you were ‘delighted’ by the issue.

CrumpledAnkle · 16/08/2025 18:32

AirborneElephant · 16/08/2025 14:25

I think she was stupid, she should have waited to regroup, work out a sensible strategy and then announce it. It was very obvious that Lilly were going to cap orders before the price increase, they have done that before in times of “unusual demand patterns” and if they hadn’t then they would have a supply problem themselves which could impact their contractual obligations eg to the NHS. So they were never going to be able to fulfil everyone ordering three pens. The e-mail that went out on Friday with a two pen limit was far more professional and appropriate.

But all that said, I don’t think she was malicious or that there was an ulterior motive. I just think she’s a bit inexperienced and panicked at the announcement.

That kind of behaviour would make me lose faith in a company really.

It was a bit strange also that when they had the inspection there was all that drama over people feeling they couldn't stay on for maintenance or something? That all kicked off too didn't it.

I think they had to prove they were allowing people who had been obese to obtain it for maintenance, not just anyone.

It’s been three days of people gleeful about this news. We’re all on edge. All this “Oushk are about to shutdown” when it’s not true doesn’t help

No, it wasn't that simple, it was to do with the inspection...anyway all in the past now but just felt a bit odd, almost like a diversion from the inspection itself..

‘Gleeful’ is your paranoid interpretation. You were immediately rude to the poster who pointed out some previous safety issues. Before there was any mention of any company shutting down. I had to re-read her post after your rebuke to see what I had missed. But nothing to suggest she was ‘delighted’, you were just rude in your reply.

No, these threads have been infiltrated by people who want nothing more to laugh at our misery.

Well, maybe you know something that I don’t. But when somebody else started the original thread about this, you were pretty rude to them and I know you have apologised. But it just seems odd that you are accusing others of being bitchy when you have been far from pleasant to people yourself. Anyway, I will say no more.

It is a shame that this very important drug is so hard for many to get. It is already the preserve of the relative wealthy, and many poor people have been unable to access it at current prices. This is further going to increase the gap between the rich and the poor. The poorest already have worse health outcomes so this is another blow.

IrisPallida · 16/08/2025 19:20

There is a far more rational and intelligent thread without all the accusations and bickering here:

I know they probably don’t know themselves but I wish Asda could email some advice rather than just ‘there are no 7.5/10/12.5/15 doses.

The lack of communication from most pharmacies makes me think they’re all cashing in on the panic. We know from MMP that discounts have been agreed

Do I think some were blindsided by the actual amount of the increase? Probably. Do I think they were all only told on Thursday? No. This had been in development for at least two weeks, if not longer. Trump signed the executive order back in May. It just stinks of a cash grab when every single pharmacy is refusing to update prices.

Med express have had delays for months I have seen loads of people talking about it. Delays, stalling tactics with photo requests etc.

'People are being very rude and nasty to but from what I’ve read, there are an awful lot of GPs who agree with her and who don’t believe that weight loss jabs are the answer.'

An awful lot of GPs are as thick and poorly informed as some of the idiots on this thread.

Given the medical gaslighting that goes on daily with GPs it’s no surprise to hear some are against WLI. That doesn’t make them right, just as they are not right when they don’t listen to people about any other ailment they are trying to have investigated, diagnosed and treated.

I had a message saying my order was delayed. I think it was a generic message sent to all due to volume. I ordered in Weds, received my order today.

Yes they was like that back in May. They took so long asking for different things one after another that I had to ask them to put it on hold so I could go on holiday without fear of it randomly being sent out. I ordered with about two weeks notice of my holiday and it wasn't ready for dispatch in time to get to me within that two weeks

LifeOfAShowGirl · 16/08/2025 20:39

Oushk have sent my GP letter for my orders, but not approved yet. Hoping they approve in the early part of next week
