Lots of very useful discussions going on on the old thread, so I thought I would continue it!

I never stockpiled in covid, there was no need as I went to the supermarket near me at 6am and I could get what I needed. The difference with this is I am saving HUNDREDS of pounds. I haven't panicked and bought this, Iv made a choice that will benefit me and my family financially.

Also, is your friend incapable of switching suppliers?

As others have said we will have to agree to differ on this.

Some people have chosen to benefit themselves and at the expense of others whereas some of us have ordered one pen to cover ourselves against potential shortages caused by the greed of the first group but not taken stock others may need. The irony is that many of the people scrambling to buy this up are the first to complain about "the rich" making money at the expense of others in society when it doesn't benefit them.

...and in answer to your final question. Of course she can switch but it is not something she had planned to do, she had chosen a provider she was happy to stay with for the long term, and will possibly have an issue getting the pen in time if other companies now have long waits due to the influx of new patients stocking up. It's just a shitshow that didn't need to happen and, in my view, has again shown the negative, I'm alright Jack side of the British public

Just had both of my Oushk orders approved (ordered at 14:30 and 16:00 on Thursday) so that’s a relief.

Profiteering from people’s desperation is a really shitty thing to do.

I’d bet almost anything everyone on this thread has tried numerous diets and lifestyle changes before. Yours are no different an absolute load of shit you’ve compiled from the internet.

@SwitchingUpWLI I can't find them on the GPHC register, are they definitely legit?

Hi @toodledo sorry if someone has already replied to this, I’ve not caught up with the thread yet but yes they do seem to be legit. I found their registration on the GPHC and the details match including their address etc it’s under pharmacy name:

Yep, done that too. I still think it has been worth it for the health changes I've had.

I was listening to some horrible woman at work being all gleeful about the price increases ( she doesn’t know i’m on it ‘ She said words along the lines of ‘all these fatties will get cancer caused by the jab as they don’t know the long term effects. And the evidence for this is where? ..

Send her this

Weight loss jabs could have surprise anti-cancer effect

Weight loss jabs are available on the NHS for people with a high BMI, or via private providers

Normally it asked if you have previously been on any weight loss medication, I always answer yes but it will depend how long ago you bought your last pen etc

Is all this stockpiling going to back fire on people in the end - if people are getting 3 months supply at once, what happens in 3 months time when they try to re-order but their last order was months ago and they are still not at goal weight, but their BMI is under 27?

I have ordered 2 extra pens, but was planning to stop in a couple of months any way so hopefully these will see me through to goal weight (fingers crossed).

YourRareTurtle · 16/08/2025 13:00

Isnt there studies that have come out around it reducing dementia, etc as well? Probably another reason they're putting the prices up. Can't have medicine that is that effective for people's health just out there in the wild for anyone to access! /s

Don’t sound so gleeful about this but oushk for one has said it’s fine. I’m sure if people explain to their supplier why they haven’t ordered but have been taking it will be okay.

ymemanresu · 16/08/2025 13:02

The potential to help treat adhd and alcohol and drug addictions is massive too.

HansHolbein · 16/08/2025 13:04

@SilkCottonTree In my case, I was able to order 2 because I had the funds to do so. I will still order one at the usual time I would order in 2 weeks time - so no break in ordering for me.

Yes to reducing dementia risk, and also cardiovascular disease

Erm you have completely misread my tone - not gleeful at all. I am hoping my pens will see me to goal weight, but if not I would want to definitely want order again after not buying them for a couple of months and hope that potentially saving a couple of ££ now wont backfire on me and others..

Why are people on this thread so combative? 🙄
