Lots of very useful discussions going on on the old thread, so I thought I would continue it!

@NotPerfectlyAdverage IQ doctor cancelled my 12.5 order, been with them for months

Splattsagain · 16/08/2025 08:47

I ordered 15mg from Bolt on Thursday lunchtime, just after midnight this morning they emailed to say they have no stock of 15, and could offer 12.5. I'm a new customer, so perhaps they're prioritising existing customers.

If seeing other people have Mounjaro is genuinely going to bring you harm, I think you’d need to step away from the internet for a while. Yes this is a concerning situation, but nobody should be upset about this to the point it harms them

C’mon @LifeOfAShowGirl, your posts on the original thread were utterly ridiculous and panic-inducing, and you were clearly distressed. You can’t have it both ways now.

How annoying especially as most suppliers arent accepting new customers now either.

IQ Dr is the one supplier who hasn't emailed me at all.

I hope you get a pen from somewhere asap!

I'm trying not to panic, but it is stressful worrying if I'm.going to even get my next pen, or how much it's going up by.

I think I'm going to plan to micro dose at worst case and streach out my dosing intervals if I have too to make my pen last.

I have missed doses before because I've been on holiday and ordered too late and been waiting on approval. Serves me right I guess.

Need to sit on my hands and not stress. I just dislike the uncertainty. I'm due to inject on Tuesday but I doubt there will be much change in supply by then. I just might push it back a few days.

Edited

Posts like pointing out that this is a problem across the entire drug market and not just Mounjaro? Okay.

Im not the one going around calling others twats and dicks and all the rest.

IQ doctor have been pretty crap. I’ve contacted them three times to try and get my order cancelled and they’re not answering! Might be a Monday lunchtime call

@LifeOfAShowGirl good luck , apparently they aren't even taking phone calls. Very concerning!

@NotPerfectlyAdverage thank you, it's really rubbish isn't it. I have an order in with Chemist4U but it's still processing, I'm not in a position to keep reordering more in hope one is approved along with waiting on both refunds. Worrying as I've seen so many different suppliers cancelling orders today and I think there's probably lots of people who aren't in the position to reorder elsewhere until their orders are refunded which can take ages.

I’ll leave it another couple of days, and then just dispute the charge with my credit card company!

Yeah it has. Really frustrating, but they’re also mega busy. So if it gets to the end of next week I’ll dispute it, but I’ll give them some time

I'm also a new customer

@LifeOfAShowGirl How can you do it wrong? It sounds very straightforward but maybe, if I think that, I am wrong too. Can you link to that please?

I posted on the previous thread but it was right towards the end so many won't have seen it. I said:
This palaver has, for me, reawakened the intense anger I felt during Covid when, having delayed my retirement from the NHS to help the public and their relatives, I would call at the supermarket to find no bread, no milk, no loo rolls, etc then get home to see absolute pillocks posting gloating pics on social media of their spare bedroom stacked to the rafters with stuff "just in case". It feels as though there are many who simply do not care about others or the society we all have to live in. I don't care if people think I'm being sanctimonious but I do think those who have panic bought multiple pens should feel some shame. I ordered one and think most sensible folk would but multiples from multiple suppliers is just selfish in my view.

I am now retired but got a panic stricken phone call from a friend this morning who has been away so due to order and closer to the wire than normal only to find her normal supplier, the only one she has ever used, out of stock. That's the direct result of this debacle.

I never stockpiled in covid, there was no need as I went to the supermarket near me at 6am and I could get what I needed. The difference with this is I am saving HUNDREDS of pounds. I haven't panicked and bought this, Iv made a choice that will benefit me and my family financially.

Also, is your friend incapable of switching suppliers?

Big on the dramatics with 'potential harm' to others. if knowing someone has bought a few pens to save themselves money is going to cause you harm then they need to stay off the internet and see a GP.

MynameisJune · 16/08/2025 09:22

I haven’t heard anything from Pharmacy2u about my
order. I’m hoping that as I ordered 10mg I’ll be okay but worried that those on 12.5 and 15 will be offered 10’s instead and that will cause stock issues for lower doses as everyone moves down a dose. I hate uncertainty 🥴

The more I hear about the government being involved in this etc., the more I think pharmacies must have had advance warning. Perhaps not of the exact prices, but surely they knew increases were on the way and that this was a possibility.

I'm.on mounjaro but spending money you don't have, charging the cost in your credit card is ridiculous. I buy if I can if not well, it will take longer and it will be harder to lose weight but I won't spend money I don't have. I can't really understand how so many of you are mums and being so irresponsible of spending that kind of money you don't have! I have a friend like this, complaining their children have to share rooms and she is always selling in vinted her children clothes or clothes she has been gifted but then spending money she does not have ( she has a credit card) on mounjaro, lavish holidays, botox etc.. grow up.

Squiffy01 · 16/08/2025 09:29

There has been no communication at all from Medino that I have got. They were completely out of stock last night but seem to have more this morning. But the fact their prices have gone up makes me think they did not go out of stock at all and just wanted to put prices up when everyone is desperate to buy.

I have a 10% off for referal if anyone wants it though.

It is worrying. I'm debating trying to find another pen from somewhere, but a quick look this morning and places are either out of stock in 12.5 or not taking new customers. Then it's possible I have multiple pens on hold for weeks and still no pen left at home.

It's so hard knowing what to do next isn't it? They could all be back in stock next week.

I wish I had a crystal ball .

The fact that you've bracketed MJ with Botox and holidays shows you don't understand what it is or what it does. Most people taking it are doing so as a medical treatment to reduce their poor health of T2D, fatty liver, inflammation of joints, all sorts related to obesity. Many people have used it to get to a weight that they can start to exercise. Really, really, bugger off.

Surely paying upfront now on a credit card in order to save hundreds of pounds next month is a pretty savvy and responsible bit of budgeting?

Fatbride · 16/08/2025 09:34

@AgathaCristina I can afford my medication, I had unexpected expenses this month of almost £2000 I can still afford my injections but can't afford to bulk buy. Regardless other people's financial decisions are really none of your business and you sound incredibly judgemental and I'd hate to be your friend if that's how you speak about them.

TheNinthLockUnlocked · 16/08/2025 09:35

LifeOfAShowGirl · 16/08/2025 06:59

I think that anyone who says that wouldn’t have done it is lying. With Oushk confirming that 15mg will be £320, I’ve saved £420 by placing this order. If you’re genuinely saying you’re in a place to not do that, fine. But I’d say the vast majority of people would make that saving if they could.

So, I deregistered last week after nearly 19 years on MN, but got sucked back in yesterday by these threads.

LifeOfAShowGirl, please stop?

On the first thread, you were distraught about the price rises and reiterating just how much of a disaster this was going to be for you.
Now you are justifying how much of a stockpile you have managed to collect.
Whilst you are totally allowed to do this, perhaps you should have kept this to yourself?

And in answer to your question, No, not everyone would do this, and no, they are not lying.

I was due to order on Thursday, my regular, monthly order. I did order. My regular singular pen.
Could I have afforded two? Possibly. Did I order two? No. Because other people need this medication too, and I am good for the next 5 weeks. In 5 weeks time there may be some good deals out there, once the dust has settled, and I'll make my next purchase provided I can.

But just as you were despairing on Thursday and worrying about how you were going to cope, so are thousands of others.
And unlike you, they may not be able to buy several pens.

You are now sorted. Some others are not.

You say there are plenty of pens available elsewhere. We can see by looking at several suppliers that they are out of stock or suspending orders.

So whilst you are now ok, others who were in a similar position to you are scrabbling for their next pen, having to look at other suppliers, with all the anxiety that brings.

Good on you for buying multiple pens. I will never change your mind that morally it was not the kindest thing to do.
And that's fine. But perhaps stop shouting about your massive amount of money saved? Because others would love to be in that position and it feels a bit gleeful? A little bit of empathy is required.

Most of people? That's not true. Most people just need to lose weight. Do you think all of us have an nhs prescription? Most of us are buying private because we don't qualified for the nhs meaning we don't have diabetes etc etc...

Lots and lots of people are doing it privately for the exact reason I said but wouldn't have YET been at a level that the NHS will prescribe or don't want to wait another X months or years getting worse, older, as the approval process grinds through. I don't have time for a lengthy discussion now. Yes there are some who are just 1-2 stone overweight using to help for vanity reasons but read the room....that's not what most posters are saying. People who have tried for decades, who are also dealing with peri or Meno issues have finally found something that works, that gives them some optimism for the future. If you can't get that from the posts on here, you have zero empathy or comprehension skills.
