Lots of very useful discussions going on on the old thread, so I thought I would continue it!

So sick of these weight loss questions, especially in relation to Wegovy & Ozempic. Society's general reliance on drugs is masking the real culprits of the obesity epidemic, which are processed & UPFs, additives, hidden sugars & fats, fast food & insufficient protein intake. It's not only fucking with our bodies, but our brains also.

IMHO you are playing with fire when we do not know the long term impact of these drugs when taken for weight loss.

Educate yourself and accept there's no such thing as easy, quick fix weight loss. Real long-term fat loss takes time(months & months) and work.

So many overweight people just refuse to put any real work in.

I think that anyone who says that wouldn’t have done it is lying. With Oushk confirming that 15mg will be £320, I’ve saved £420 by placing this order. If you’re genuinely saying you’re in a place to not do that, fine. But I’d say the vast majority of people would make that saving if they could.

When you say ‘due’ to increase do you mean in a time manner or because it wasn’t working?

Whether they’d do it or not isn’t the point for me. This is such an important medication and peoples lives and happiness is relying on it. For some the disruption in stock levels is going to mean they have to take a gap and for others the prices mean they have to stop entirely. That’s a rubbish situation and it only takes a little empathy not to post about big stock levels even though it’s probably a relief to those that have them.

Bit plenty of places have all doses in stock. It’s not as if it can’t be obtained anywhere?

For some people they may not have the money to buy early. For some changing providers (to a potentially more expensive one - because they are typically the ones with stock left) is not easy or even possible in some cases. For some, even if they could buy a pen or two now, the new prices mean they know they have to stop anyway after those pens.

it doesn’t bring any benefit to someone to post ‘I have six pens on order or in stock’ but it does bring potential for harm to someone to read that. Thats what I am saying. It costs nothing to keep big stock levels quiet at a time when everyone is worried.

As gutted as you all about this. My BMI is 26
now and wanted to be on MJ to maintain for at least a year.

Does anyone know if providers will allow us to switch to Wegovy for maintenance only? Or only if we have a BMI over 30 etc? Thank you.

Im on Mounjaro 7 5 and I thought finally in life im getting a grip on my weight. I started at 20st 2llb and now I'm down to 17.12. These price increases will mean I can afford it anymore. Im heartbroken.

If seeing other people have Mounjaro is genuinely going to bring you harm, I think you’d need to step away from the internet for a while. Yes this is a concerning situation, but nobody should be upset about this to the point it harms them

DH has had his Oushk order approved late last night (11pm). He’s just on 5 though so probably not subject to any of the stock stuff.

To be fair... cant blame people. Its so easy to get, iv looked into it before but never done it.

My order from Bolt hasn't been approved. I have just looked on Monj because I'm not confident my Bolt order will come in time before I run out. The prices have gone up so much already and lots sold out.

I do hope it does get approved. I'm slightly worried. I might have to reorder from IQ Dr as they was my last supplier. But not sure if that will be any faster or they will have 12.5mg in stock.

They’ve confirmed that they only allow orders for what they have in stock - so every order has a pen allocated to it. Which is nice!
