@Gettingfitorbust I wore a 10kg weighted vest and was so surprised at how much it weighs! Makes me think how great my joints must be feeling with that much less pressure on them!

Anyone else have body dysmorphia in that they think they're thinner than they are?! I'm feeling fabulous, clothes feel great, I'm much less bloated and i can see the outline of my bones on the back of my hand every now ansd again....I feel and think skinny. Then I catch a glimpse of myself in a window as I walk passed and surprised at how round and chubby I still am 😅 I'm in size 18 clothes and 5ft 1 so it's no surprise that I don't look as svelt as I feel, but I keep seeing people say the head takes longer to catch up with the body and I'm over here in size 18s thinking I'm Taylor Swift 🤣 is it just me?! 🤷‍♀️

I love that you've said this - this has always been me 😂 my friends call me Shallow Hal haha!

So today would be week 16 day 1 I think but had my last jab last week. I reached my goal weight a few weeks ago but I want to lose a few more lbs before the Christmas period. Not sure how long it will take to leave my system but I was on 7.5mg so still feeling some suppression.

RussianDoll76 · 09/10/2025 09:05

Almost 16 weeks on MJ and as of this morning 2stone 7lbs down . 😁
I have felt like nothings been happening for weeks so this little whoosh has reminded me to trust the process. After upping my water which had started to reduce now the weather has cooled. 2.5 litres seems to be my minimum. I am now 11 stone 2lbs which seems crazy my initial goal was 11 stone .9lbs which I had been chasing with slimming world for over a year. After my concerns with coping without MJ I am now faced with having to stop. I have had several health scares in the last month and after lots of tests and ruling out more serious issues it seems MJ may no longer be my friend . I am ok with that and realise balancing a healthy weight is always going to be something I have to keep a good eye on. I am currently waiting for the definite stop and in the mean time taking instruction regarding dosing eating drinking and exercise . Which is helping tbh . I am lucky my doctor can see the huge health benefits I’ve had so he is reluctant to just point the finger at the jab which I have discovered after ample hospital visits seeing different consultants is rarely the case .
loving catching up with how everyone is doing it’s good to see the ups and downs and although it’s hard to respond to everyone when the thread moves quickly . Every post is appreciated.
Have a lovely day June jabbers !!

Gettingfitorbust · 09/10/2025 14:59

Sounds like you have a good doctor RussianDoll76. Good luck with what you decide to do.

Ah - I've also been invited for a flu jab because of a medical condition, although the receptionist couldn't tell me what the condition was or why I was eligible, but suggested if I was invited then I should book, which I eventually did after the surgery started spamming me with texts and emails. Could it be because of my weight? Because half of the texts came after they weighed me and I was 2 stone down.

I got offered one this year after they weighed me a couple of months ago. My BMI will always be high, even when I'm at a weight I look and feel great at. If they want to offer me free vaccines because of it, fine.

NigelAdjacent · 11/10/2025 10:11

Hi all. Still jabbing away every 8 days - I’m on 7.5 and the extra day was much needed at first to spread out the dread SEs a bit!

Moving much more slowly towards my goal of around 68kg now. Sitting at 72.8 but obviously since there’s now less of me (I was 89.9 when I started MJ) I guess I need fewer calories and need to adjust my intake a little more.

Made a mess of last week’s jab - decided to try in my thigh for the first time as I’d heard that moving the injection zone could reduce SEs and I’d been struggling with dizziness. Well…. jabbed myself and somehow bent the needle, so a few drops ended up running down my leg. Didn’t have any dizziness this week though 🤣🤣🤣 but I do have a big bruise and a scratch that bled a surprising amount 😳. The angle was just a bit complicated I guess…. I will try again as I had minimal upset stomach and nausea this week despite it being only my second on 7.5.

Anyway, onwards and downwards! Wishing you all watery weight loss weekends!

LadyClumber · 11/10/2025 12:01

Hi all! Still here and crawling towards my target of 7stone 7lbs / BMI 21 (I am very short!). I have been feeling properly hungry and gaining and losing the same 2 lbs for the past few weeks so moved up from 3.75mg to 5mg when I jabbed last Thursday evening. Not feeling much difference, though. I have less than a stone to reach target, though, so am in two minds as to whether it is worth increasing to 7.5mg or plod along on 5mg and up the exercise.

healthjourney · 11/10/2025 14:29

I have an unusual NSV to share. 20 years ago when I was studying drama at Uni I did a module in costume making. We had to choose a painting in the gallery, make ourselves the dress in the painting and then do a short performance in front of it in the gallery 😆 a few years ago my parents found the dress I made and gave it back to me. I am now getting close to the lowest weight I have been as an adult so I thought I'd try it on. I didn't expect it to actually fit yet but it did! I am therefore the same size-ish as when I was 21 🤯
I was also really impressed I made this beautiful dress with a custom fit boned corset which is making me think about learning to sew.
Anyone else have any weird weight loss victories to share?

SecretIrnBruDrinker · 11/10/2025 14:31

W20 D1 here, started at 15st 8.6lb and I'm now 12st 6.4lb.

I'm wearing a pair of jeans labelled as a size 10 😮 however they are also labelled as a waist 30 and the label must be wrong as they've made their way round everyone else in the house who are actually a size 10 or waist 30 and been rejected for being massive. Either way they fit me. I've given away all my size 18s and some of the looser 16s. Can't fit into the few size 14s I had in the cupboard, but I've promised myself a mini shopping splurge once I am a comfortable 14.

Bloozie · 11/10/2025 18:54

Dropping in to share a NSV - this robe used to sit flush against my tummy when this button was fastened.

If there isn’t an image here, there will be when it’s approved.

I had a similar NSV staying in a hotel last weekend -the towel covered me properly with a good overlap, no frantic tugging of the edges!

FoxRedPuppy · 12/10/2025 20:25

Love the NSVs!

I saw some friends on Friday, that I haven’t seen for a few months and they noticed my weight loss! I was honest about jabs. One asked outright, but they are very close friends. All were very supportive.

I’ve now lost 3 stone!

MissMogs · 13/10/2025 06:36

Well done @FoxRedPuppy!
I also hit 3st a couple of days ago. Although since then bounced back up again! I wish I knew who’d suggested weighing daily near the start of this to thank them. My weight fluctuates so much on a daily basis and I wonder how many diets I’ve thrown the towel in on because they “weren’t working” because I was disappointed on weigh day when actually it could easily have just been a fluctuation for that day and I could have been a kg lighter the day before!! That Shotsy graph is also comforting as it shows the general downward trend even if there’s a LOT of wiggles along the way!

MsRinky · 13/10/2025 08:52

Today I am 12 stone something for the first time since the 90s! Woohoo!

LadyClumber · 13/10/2025 15:23

@MsRinky -🙌🎉🙌

RatherTardy · 13/10/2025 15:55

I also love reading all your SVs and NSVs, I keep dishing out the heart emoji reaction things like they're sweeties when im on here, which is very unlikely me.

I particularly liked this comment from @farfallarocks

Clothes all look amazing and I can buy what I want in shops rather than what fits. I really don’t want to go backwards :(

I definitely don't look amazing, but it feels fabulous to be in British standard sizes again.
It's been a long time!

RatherTardy · 13/10/2025 16:09

Like a few of you, I've not been on for a while.
I'm happy (genuinely) with my slow n steady weightloss, roughly 1lb a week but I found myself comparing myself to those very many of you who are doing better than me, and I didn't want to be doing that. Comparisons are unhelpful, I think.

I am very pleased for those of you who've got to goal/a healthy BMI or who are close.
It's a fabulous achievement.

I am in need of more needles for golden doses. Can anyone remind me where to get the sterile ones from? I can't find the link now.

SomethingAboutYou · 13/10/2025 18:39

@RatherTardy I can relate to that. I have a long road ahead and also been losing on average a lb a week but it seems to be falling into a pattern of 1.4lb then 0.6lb so 2lbs over the 2 weeks 🤷‍♀️ I'm ever so close to 2stone off so hearing others have hit 3 stone is making me question myself, but I need to remind myself that it's not a race and if I take 6months longer to get to where I want to be, then so be it and that's my path.

I am also rather tap happy with the heart emojis with the SVs and NSVs, it's absolutely brilliant hearing all these lovely wins 🥳

I'll add mine: a year ago I went to a gig and they were selling merch but only had a 2xl top left and the lady behind the stall laughed and apologised and said atleast it will make a cosy oversized nightie....imagine my horror when I put the 'oversized' top on and it fit, just like a top. The sleeves were big but it wouldn't go down past my arse and hips so cozy nightie it was not. Fast forward to now and it is a cozy oversized nightie! It's like a dress and I feel tiny in it 🥳

Xmasfairy86 · 13/10/2025 20:20

Also loving the NSV here!
I am jealous at the scale of some of the reported losses here but need to remember everyone is different and I am still losing, just at a slower rate than others!

my WeGovy arrives tomorrow.. bit nervous!

My DD bought me a t-shirt for my birthday back in April.
Which she had customised.
At the time it was unwearable because it was so tight over my tummy.

Its fine now.

Celebrate them, Celebrate you.

That's what im doing

My fitness pal keeps being recommended by Juniper (have they a commercial relationship!). Is there a better (free) alternative or is this the best and simplest way to track stuff?

flameprincess · 13/10/2025 21:58

Checking in and loving all the progress reports. It seems many of us are at least 2 stone down which is amazing. It still feels incredibly slow but I'm so glad I took photos at the start of the journey. I've a high starting weight so nobody has really commented on my loss so far but I got rid of so many size 22 clothes this weekend in a purge and comfortably in 18s now. Still a LONG way to go but I'm happy to have shape again.
SW: 132kg
CW: 117.9kg
Total lost 14.10kg (2.2 stone)
Goal: 75kg (will still be overweight but I think this is a more realistic goal for me).

One thing I am struggling with recently is the MJ isnt really curbing my wine cravings of a weekend anymore, so I'm having to really consciously fight the urge to drink whereas at the beginning I couldn't bear alcohol. I cant afford to go up from 7.5mg and using up my pens on this dose before moving to WeGovy after Xmas.

You don’t need to pay for my fitness pal. The free version is all you need for tracking. Once you get used to tracking using it it’s quite simple
