I’m 11 stone 7 today, was 13 stone 12 on 30th May. I’ve even joined a Gym! We go three times a week, I can even do 30 mins on the treadmill with a level 5 incline. I have a size 16 skirt arriving tomorrow as my legs are soooooo much slimmer. My size 18/20 trousers are huge on me.

Maryb54 · 01/10/2025 12:13

Two things:

I’ve been away in holiday for a week. Lots of wine and food, although not as much as before I started the jabs in June. Three pounds gained but being home and with access to more protein, gallons of water, off the booze and these were gone in two days. I think I inadvertently did a body reset!

Second thing, as lots have been asking. I did a month on 2.5 Mounjaro, two months on 5. I’ve lost two stone, steady with a bit of up and down and a bit of plateauing. I switched to Wegovy last week and had my first 1 dose with some trepidation it has to be said. No difference to the food noise which is still as quiet as it was on Mounjaro but no more a sore, red, itchy bump on the injection site which is a real plus.

I saw the nurse yesterday for my annual bloods and told reception I was on the drugs as Juniper hadn’t done so in spite of saying they would. Reception was sniffy but I don’t care as I can get into my jeans comfortably now so stuff them.

love this thread, so real, so supportive.

BadgerFace · 01/10/2025 12:40

Loving all these updates!

SunandMoor · 01/10/2025 17:37

@Maryb54 interested to hear how Wegovy is for you so keep us posted!

@farfallarocks i have had the same experience re wine! Look forward to hearing about maintenance and well done on getting to goal!

I’ve not lost any weight this week but have held on to my initial goal weight despite being very hungry this week. 2 months on 5mg has not worked great for me with respect to being hungry but I guess it’s a bit more like real life so helpful in its own way.

I have bought a 7.5mg pen so with my final golden dose from 5mg pen next week I am going to try 6mg to try and shift a few more pounds before moving on to maintenance.

NSV I am feeling so much better with being back in my old clothes. The children keep asking me if I am wearing a new top - nope, just a t-shirt I got too fat to feel comfortable in! Although I am also planning a shopping trip in half term as DH is taking the kids away for a few days so I will have some time to myself with a cheeky day off work planned…

Dellabella83 · 02/10/2025 12:28

wow, it’s great to hear so many people reaping the rewards of their hard work. Whether it’s been fast or slow, be proud of your losses.

stayed on 5mg since my second month and my weight loss varies but averages out between 2-3 a week. Last week I felt like suppression had totally gone but was able to use will power (apart from a treat day of a sausage and bacon sarnie and pizza for tea!). Suppression back up a bit this week but my brain often states I need a snack and I have to focus on what my stomach feels like to bring me back in line to listening to my hunger cues, which I never had before mounjaro. Don’t want to go up doses to full suppression as using this to train myself for the long haul.

lots of NSVs recently. Lots of lovely comments from people on my weight loss. Sorting through my wardrobe, realised when I was my biggest at a size 22 I was consistently wearing black baggy tops and trousers. I’m now a comfortable 18 and back to wearing bright and colourful work dresses and I feel so comfortable, and once again had lovely comments (bought a few new things but need to stop as hoping the dress sizes keep dropping in time.)

still not focused on a gw, think healthy bmi is unacheievable and I was also happy in the high 12s so just taking each stone at a time as mini goals.

need to focus on exercise more. Been walking longer and harder with the dog but need to get back to strength work as know that will be best in the long run

HappyWineDay · 02/10/2025 12:55

"still not focused on a gw, think healthy bmi is unacheievable and I was also happy in the high 12s so just taking each stone at a time as mini goals."
@Dellabella83 I agree that mini goals are a good way to do things. I set a goal weight that is a relatively small increment, say half a stone, then when I get there I set the next one. I always have my eye on reaching a healthy BMI, but that goal is too big a step to feel that I'm making real progress. If you do it that way, at some point you may feel that the "unachievable" becomes achievable!

Not got a goal weight either. I was 8.5 stone for years but think id look a wrinkly hag at that weight! 4 pounds till I hit healthy BMI! Just going to plod on till I feel I am at the right weight.
Going on holiday for a week next week. So, despite finding suppression not great now on 5mg, I will stay on this till after my holiday. We are half board. Going to resist the urge to eat all the pastries at breakfast and stick with fruit and greek yoghurt. Hopefully not put too much weight on.

HappyWineDay · 02/10/2025 15:41

"with my final golden dose from 5mg pen next week I am going to try 6mg to try and shift a few more pounds"
@BadgerFace you might get 6mg from your golden dose. That would be 0.72ml in your syringe rather than 0.6ml

Thanks @HappyWineDay I think I meant 6ml which is what I did from my last pen for golden dose although there was more in there than that so maybe I’ll get to 6mg for this pen!

@Dellabella83 “I have to focus on what my stomach feels like to bring me back in line to listening to my hunger cues”
this is so wise, and what I need to do. I don’t get much suppression, I never have, and feel like I’m getting a bit snacky/greedy sometimes.

I'm the same. Bought a few unhealthier snacks recently and not counted calories so will be interesting to see the scales tomorrow on my 'official' weigh day.

I also have to remind myself to drink water and although it's a bit of a diet cliché to drink water when hungry I've actually noticed that I am genuinely thirsty sometimes. Not sure why I go looking for food instead. I find drinking water hard when it's a bit colder outside, I always end up with a cup of tea instead.

Gingercar · 02/10/2025 21:28

I think a cup of tea is fine and counts towards hydration.

SunandMoor · 02/10/2025 21:34

With 2 stone down now since June I have recently joined the gym mainly doing strength exercises on the machines to stop loss of muscle. I have started using the app Hevy which is free and you can create a program and then each time you go tick the exercises off and it keeps a record of progress. Thought I would share as I find it really useful to keep track of the different weights on the machines and it means I am not wandering around the gym wondering what machine to use next! It has been a real motivator for me and it links to my fitness pal to update my calories!

FoxRedPuppy · 03/10/2025 08:02

I need to get back into exercise, I haven’t done any this week since I got back from holiday.

Today for the first time I have a healthy BMI! 24.6!

SW 88kg
CW 70.4kg
GW 65kg

Crinklecat · 03/10/2025 08:13

I don’t need another pen at the moment but was just checking prices and they seem to have come back down for anyone looking to get one

June 2025 Starters - Mounjaro (thread 5)
MsRinky · 03/10/2025 09:46

Morning all, time for an update from me, haven't been around in ages. Well after my three week festival road trip and break from the jabs bonanza from mid August into September the scales were unsurprisingly up. I got back and started again gently - did 2.5, then 3, then 4. Did a full 5 jab last week and this week.

However, September was a bit of a mare quite frankly. I had a horrible cold for a week and have had two bereavements and just keeping going has been more than enough. My steps are down, my gym visits sporadic, I still have the funerals to get through. Just doesn't seem that important at the moment.

However, I have got rid of all bar 0.5kg of the holiday weight, and my size 16 jeans are falling off. Hopefully I can start making progress again soon, but just not going backwards is good enough for me at the moment. I don't feel like I'm getting supression from the 5mg, and I have two panic bought pens still unopened from the great price rise panic, but I'm just going to keep plodding for now.

Lovely to hear all your victories. I was so hoping to go into 2026 officially overweight rather than obese, but that's still 9.7kg away which now feels a bit overambitious! Hey ho.

Librariesrule · 03/10/2025 10:34

I've lost track of how many weeks but will work out later.
Weighed this morning and have lost a total of 2st 4lb, to say I'm happy would be an understatement. I don't think I've seen that number for at least 6 years probably longer.

😀

SunandMoor · 03/10/2025 12:36

@FoxRedPuppy that is a major milestone!! Well done.

Mynewusersame · 03/10/2025 12:43

Just a quick check in from me, 18th jab and have lost 41.5 pounds. Half a pound to three stone loss!
SW 15.4
CW 12.4.5

12 stone 4 pounds is also my lowest weight between DC1 and DC2 so feels like a big milestone. Any further loss will be taking me back to a pre-baby weight which is exciting. Still on 5mg and no plans to increase dose.

For goal weight I’m still hoping to get into the 10s and a healthy BMI (which seems silly as I do not believe in BMI but feels like something I should do whilst it’s working). Have a great weekend everyone!

SunandMoor · 03/10/2025 12:45

I bought a pair of size 14 jeans today normally a 16 and didn’t have to squeeze into them either that felt good as I normally find shopping for jeans to be very depressing! 4 months and 2 stone 2lbs down, weight now 13 stone can’t wait for the scales to start with a 12!! I am also 30.3BMI so nearly overweight!! Yippee!! 😂

Quay · 03/10/2025 13:44

Wk 16 and am finally in the 9’s - well just - but I’m well happy. 31lbs lost since mid June and at the lower end of obese.

SW 12st 1
CW. 9st. 12

wonderful to finally be in the 9’s - it been quite a few years! 😂 Need to up the exercise though as I’m very wrinkly rather than firmed up! 😱

I struggled whether to move up to 10mg but have decided to remain at 7.5mg and split my 10mg to two lots of 5mg as I want to start titrating down now.

Love reading everyone’s journey - we’re all doing so well 👏

Sogfree · 03/10/2025 14:21

So wonderful to hear all your stories.

My scales have been dipping under and over 10st for the past 3 weeks. I can't wait until I can confidently say I'm in the 9st somethings.

NSV - without thinking, I tightened my belt to notch 5 in the loo earlier. When I bought the belt at the beginning of September I uncomfortably got to notch 2.

Maybe my body weight is all just shifting around rather than falling off. 🤷🏻

SomethingAboutYou · 03/10/2025 21:04

Goodness there's a lot of people very close to their goal weights now, how exciting! Looking forward to hearing how maintenance goes for you and learn some tips on how to prepare for it.

Week 18 day 7 for me and I've reached 25lbs off. It's only just above 1lb a week, which is slow, but I chose to remain on the low dosages so I've not had suppression meal wise, only a reduction in my obsession with sugar, which works for now. I took progress pics today and compared to 12 weeks ago I have shrunk in size! I'm stood in front of a closed door and I can now see more of the door and I think my face is starting to look different, like my eyes are bigger 🥳

SW: 16st (101.7kg)
CW: 14st 3 (90.2kg)

Hoping to see a flicker of 89kg on the scales next week 🤞🤞🤞🤞

FoxRedPuppy · 04/10/2025 11:08

Sorry you’ve had such a hard time @MsRinky hope things get better soon. Well done on losing during all that stress though!

I injected 7.5mg from a 5mg pen today (using syringe. This week has been hard as 5mg has definitely worn off. But I had a 5 already from the price panic. Then got 7.5mg ready in fridge (5mg was already open so have to sue it up). Hopefully I’ll get another 7.5mg dose from it.

I could not get the bubble out of the syringe for ages though. Must have squirted loads of liquid away!
