After remaining same weight for three weeks (well within a 2lb yoyo) I've made the decision to order a 7.5mg . Just done it now. In August it took 7 days to change from 'your order is processing' to 'your order has been prescribed.'. Took 10 minutes just now. Thats with MedExpress. They must be literally sat around waiting for orders to come in.

I've decided to move up because like a PP I've got the food noise back (suppression is okay) and whilst I'm not actually hungry I'm struggling to avoid temptation. Plus it feels like a false economy to stick at the lower mg for longer and take longer to get the weight off.

I do need to find a way of mentally disregarding the food noise though.

Just ordered from getadrip. 3 minutes between the email confirming my order and the one to say it was approved!

Absolutely! I’m finding more things from my wardrobe that didn’t fit before now, now do fit and I find myself lulled into a false sense of thinness which is crushed in the changing room of a shop where I discover that having also lost 2.5 stone, I’m still fat and size 18 is not quite there!

It’s horrible isn’t it. Our time will come (soon, I hope!) Size 19 for the win!

Catladyof7 · 20/09/2025 20:38

I have just done my Saturday dose of 7.5mg
BUT , i did the golden dose using a needle .
Last time i was able to force the 5mg pen .

This time it turned to 1 , but the plunger wouldnt work so had to use the syringes what were recommended.
Now i am not sure how much went in me .
The needle bent whilst i was getting the liquid out, even though i was very careful .
I think it said around 0.8ml.
But no idea how much i actually got in me .

I was sat down and i had some liquid on my stomach and there seemed to be some on the floor .
Not sure what to do now .?
Do i wait and see if any effect , do another dose in 3 days, or just wait till next Saturday ?

I had a problem doing the doing golden dose at 2.5mg and ended up with losing it out the end of the syringe, both times the needle bent !

Also in this club. Don't be too disheartened, all shops vary so much as well its hard to tell. In some that size generously I would be an 18 now, others a 20. I was a 20/22 at start depending on shop. I'm quite surprised a 2st loss for me isn't quite a full dress size reliably, but I am tall at 5'9. Also need to remember this from the perspective of how much weight I can put on and still wear same dress size. I can now see how I gained 4st so easily over a 10yr period with a gradual creep up!

MissMogs · 20/09/2025 21:43

I’m short at 5ft2, and was squeezing into 20 but prob more like 22. Now I can squeeze into (old) 18s but not new ones in M&S! I’d have thought 2.5st would be more noticeable on me!

SomethingAboutYou · 20/09/2025 22:11

It's an M&S pair of size 18s that I'm trying to fit into whereas Matalan size 18s are too big and White Stuff size 18 fit nicely. A few of my old size 18s (hipster style) are still a bit unflattering but I don't know if that's more about how my shape has changed since having babies. I'm going to blame M&S for being small!!

I wore a size 16 jumper from Peacocks this week and weirdly had to order a size 14 from Joe Browns (it's an oversized style jumper but I was drowning in material in the size 18 so went down 2 sizes thinking it will be perfect for Christmas and it fits now 🤷‍♀️) I am most definitely not a size 14 yet 😆

Catladyof7 · 20/09/2025 22:14

Can anyone help with my post please as not sure what to do and i rarely get any replies anyway

Gettingfitorbust · 20/09/2025 22:54

Catladyof7 Do you mean the needle bent as you withdrew the liquid from the pen, and you used the same needle to inject?

If that was the case, and it happened again, I would change the needle before injecting ( remembering to prime though).
I understand your dilemma for this week, I think I would be tempted to just see how things go for a couple of days and reassess.

Yes , but it was a syringe so fixed needle .
They seem to be recommended on here a lot, but i have had issues with twice wit them now .
It was the golden dose, so not the usual pen needle.

Thanks for answering me

SomethingAboutYou · 20/09/2025 23:52

Sorry @Catladyof7 I haven't done a golden dose so don't have experience with the needles. I would personally count it as 1 full dose and jab as normal next week. There will still be MJ in your system even if you didn't get the full dose so I'd imagine that you wouldn't see a huge difference this week. Perhaps jab a day early if you're finding the week hard.

Thanks.
I have done pretty ok on the weight loss so was worried i would somehow jeopardise things .

Focusispower · 21/09/2025 07:45

@Catladyof7 a dose is 0.6ml in every pen that I have used. So if you extracted 0.8 and managed to get most of it in then you’re likely to have had a full dose or maybe even a little more.

Morning! I don’t post much but I am a June starter 😊 I’m on 5mg and with the price rises etc I’m planning on sticking here unless I start putting weight on 😁

What is really interesting about mj is how I trust it more than my own body. I’ve been looking at my weight loss and it comes in fits and starts, it’s not linear. If I’d just been dieting I would’ve assumed I was doing something wrong, I wasn’t logging calories properly or weightloss just wasn’t working and I’d give up when there were weeks going by when I wasn’t losing weight. But because I see mj working for so many people I’m being more patient and the weightloss does happen. Anyway I’m annoyed with myself that I didn’t trust myself and my body all the other 100s of times I’ve tried to lose weight.

RussianDoll76 · 21/09/2025 09:57

Morning Junejabbers ! Today is jab day for me but after losing and gaining the same 2 lbs throughout this month I am going up to 3.75 not going to jab until this evening as my ds birthday and we have a meal out and I don’t want to risk side effects. I’ve had a good run on 2.5 but I don’t think it’s working much anymore. The past 2 weeks I’ve had 3.75 over the 7 days in 2 jabs but although suppression is ok ish I definitely have food noise . I’m also considering jabbing every 5 days will see what happens after the increase. Also trying to do 3.75 out of the 2.5 pen I like you @Catladyof7 had a nightmare trying to extract and ended up losing a dose on my lap and the floor 😩. So hoping for a better outcome from this one tonight. Can’t afford to be throwing it away. Need to master it as I have 2 more 2.5 pens in the fridge. Do any of you feel the colder weather has changed the way you feel about food ? Definitely been slacking on the salad . Been wanting more snacks too. 🤔.

Here’s to a good week for us all !!!

LadyClumber · 21/09/2025 10:14

@RussianDoll76 - fellow salad slacker here! Trying to get excited about ‘soup season’ but my mind keeps drifting to Mac’n cheese…

Xmasfairy86 · 21/09/2025 10:34

Another salad slacker. Am throwing more tomatoes and lettuce away each week 🤦🏽‍♀️
I am a soup lover so hoping to get the slow cooker out this week for its seasonal debut

Crinklecat · 21/09/2025 10:47

@Catladyof7 try watching a YouTube video on the golden dose. You need to do it slowly and hold the pen and syringe at the same angle to avoid bending the needle

LadyClumber · 21/09/2025 10:52

@Xmasfairy86 - please share any soup recipes with protein. My repertoire is limited to lentil and chicken soup.

Xmasfairy86 · 21/09/2025 11:42

@LadyClumber they are my go tos for adding protein to soup 😂😂
I like this recipe https://www.purewow.com/recipes/spicy-slow-cooker-green-chicken-chili I tend to adapt most recipes I find to suit and adopt the chuck it all in and see approach!

Spicy Slow Cooker Green Chicken Chili

This spicy slow cooker green chicken chili is supremely satisfying and a cinch to make, thanks to your trusty Crockpot.

I made a carrot, cumin and red lentil soup but added mushrooms to it for added protein, the mushrooms changed the colour to a bit brown rather than bright orange but it didn't affect the taste! The lentils definitely help with thickening the soup and I didn't miss having bread with it which was awsome. I'm planning on a pea and mint soup with greek yoghurt to make it creamy and to add protein but that's usually quite thin and will possibly need some bread to make it filling. We shall see!!

I can't find the recipe online, I just eyeball it - onion, celery, mushrooms and a bit of oil in a pan, chuck in powdered cumin, add chopped carrots and lentils and about a litre and a half of stock (I prefer chicken stock) and then whizz up when soft. Add greek yoghurt to make it creamy and cayenne pepper if you like a bit of spice. Easy to make, tasty and warming 🙌

MtKiloMounjaro · 21/09/2025 13:00

Been a while but here's my update:
SW: 246lbs
CW: 217lbs
GW: 180 lbs

I've just have my 7th dose of 7.5mg and have felt tit waining after 3 days so i'm moving up to 10mg in 2 weeks! I have a feeling though that it will be too much for me and i'll end up dosing just 7.5 out of it.

Anyone else on 10mg yet?

That's so true.
I'm the same, but hadn't thought about it that way.

More n more people are commenting on my weightloss now, which feels amazing.

There's a dress I bought on a bit of a whim and haven't worn because it was too tight around my tummy.
It's less tight now. Still too tight for me to be comfortable wearing it, but it's getting there. I'll be excited when I can.

Ooh. That would make a good base for chicken to be added. I’m not a mushroom fan

SomethingAboutYou · 21/09/2025 13:56

@Xmasfairy86 do you keep the chicken chunky or blend that smooth too?
