Funny you mention that @waitingforlifeonmars. I have insomnia thanks to menopause and had tried the 3 in 1 from NG. However, I stopped as it caused me diarrhoea. But that was was pre Mounjaro so it might now give me the perfect balance! Thanks for that

Tbh I think my bad sleep is due to perimenopause too. I took 2 tabs to get things moving, dropped to 1 at night occasionally missing the odd night.

Focusispower · 05/09/2025 14:43

My sleep has been terrible on MJ! I know it’s linked (although peri was also causing sleep problems prior to starting) because it’s worse the first 4 nights and then improved, which also aligns to how suppression shows up. Maybe I will try magnesium….

Isn’t the wipe for the end of the pen (the red bit where the needle goes in), not for your skin?

Yes the wipe is for the needle, not your skin. No need to wipe the skin.

Crinklecat · 05/09/2025 15:23

Different providers have different advice. Good practice to wipe the skin too, especially as I use the pen for longer than advised

If you skin is generally clean than there isn’t an infection risk from your own skin. Most NHS trusts no longer clean with a wipe before blood tests and vaccinations.

Maybe use a cleaning wipe that isn’t so harsh? Like an antibacterial one.

I hate how the number on the scale really depresses me when it doesn't go my way. I was 2kg UP at the start of the week, and only managed to shift 1kg of that thus far but I'm travelling all weekend so likely no loss at all this week and it's a another write off.

I physically feel disgusting when the scale goes up, and then I start questioning myself like why am I paying such a high price for this when I could be failing for free :(

I have lost overall, 14 weeks in and 10.7kg down but weeks with zero progress hit me hard, I've got such a lot of weight to lose I expected it to be quicker at least at the start.

Ugh.

FoxRedPuppy · 05/09/2025 18:21

I feel similar. The 5mg is definitely not working like it was, but I have another 5mg pen left to go!

BadgerFace · 05/09/2025 19:49

I am so hungry today and I only did my 6mg jab yesterday! I haven’t had this before…

MounjaroBingo · 05/09/2025 19:56

I’ve had consistent suppression on 2.5mg, but since Wednesday it’s just stopped. Just like that. Feel like I’ve been injecting water. Old eating habits crept in straight away. I just want to cry.

SomethingAboutYou · 05/09/2025 20:02

I noticed today for the first time (new pen so maybe different wipes) that the back of the wipe packet said wipe the injection site once in one direction! The paper that comes with the pen doesn't mention the injection site, only the tip of the pen!

Aww that's annoying @flameprincess I'm even slower than you, not managed to hit 10kg off yet and I'm starting week 15 tomorrow 🫣 I do feel bloated and fat this evening and I'm wondering if it's just me mentally thinking it because I didn't lose anything this week. Our minds have a lot to answer for! We've got this though 💪 I tried losing weight the exact same time last year and I didn't get this far before stalling, so it is working, even if it's slower than hoped 🫶

FoxRedPuppy · 05/09/2025 21:05

I’m considering doing two doses of 3.75 4 days apart to make it 7.5mg. Use this one and next one and then get 7.5

Other alternative I suppose if to persevere with willpower and 5mg.

SunandMoor · 05/09/2025 22:29

@Crinklecat the wipe isn’t for your skin. It’s for the pen!

Strange but I found 5mg didn’t really do it for me and I moved up to 7.5 as soon as the 4 weeks were up. Yet 7.5 has been excellent, I’m not remotely considering going to 10mg.

BoredReceptionist · 06/09/2025 08:38

15th injection for me today, I’ve stuck at 2.5 throughout but last night for the first time I was absolutely starving so I’ve taken 3mg today using the golden dose and hopefully that will stave off the hunger better. Food noise has remained minimal.

I’m 2 lbs down this week for a total loss of 2st 1lb. SW was 15st 1 and I’m currently 13st, target weight around 11st probably, but a clothes size 12 is my real hope. I was in a 20 at my heaviest and I just got a couple of size 14 tops from Next which actually fit so I’m delighted with that!

I’m walking daily on my walking pad and started strength training too at the start of July, trying to get good habits in place.

ToddlerMumma · 06/09/2025 08:46

I’m on week 14 and have gone from 2.5 to 5 to 7.5 and now using the golden dose as well. I think I might stay on 7.5mg for another month and see if the suppression wanes, like it did before. I’ve been ok so far though, no food noise and minimal SE
i started at 13st4 and now I’m 12st so steady loss of just over a lb a week. I’ve really stepped it up at the gym too which is helping. My body defo looks different

WhatTodoALL · 06/09/2025 08:47

12 weeks in. Went from 80.6kg to 72.2kg. Feels like not a lot compared to everyone else! I am still pleased with the results and plan to carry on!

Crinklecat · 06/09/2025 08:50

SunandMoor · 05/09/2025 22:29

@Crinklecat the wipe isn’t for your skin. It’s for the pen!

As I said, different providers have different advice. This is the first time I’ve had a reaction after 12 jabs

SunandMoor · 06/09/2025 09:48

@Crinklecat sorry you are right I use MedExpress too and never read this or at least if I did 3 months ago ignored it! Hopefully your reaction is a one off. I regularly get bruising at my injection site.

SunandMoor · 06/09/2025 09:50

@WhatTodoALL we all lose at different paces and I personally think if you lose it slowly your body and skin have time to adjust and that’s a big positive!

I’m going to try not swabbing this week to see if it makes a difference, or maybe try my thigh again instead

I think I read that using the same area after a while can cause reaction. I get similar with HRT patches. Even though I try and put them in slightly different parts of my thigh, sometimes I get a reaction and I think it’s where the overlap has been.

RatherTardy · 06/09/2025 12:07

Like many of you, I'm regretting not going up more during my panic buying spree.
I'm telling myself that if the suppression wanes, then will power even more important.
My weightloss has been slow for the past 6 weeks because I've not been at work and been out of routine plus been drinking, but all that has stopped now, so hopeful things will improve again.
Weigh day for me tomorrow

SecretIrnBruDrinker · 06/09/2025 12:23

W15
SW 15st 8.6
CW 13st 1.4

My word it's been a slog over the last 3 weeks or so but hopefully in the next week or so my weight will start with a 12 which from 15 will be quite nice.

I still don't look that different but I am in a pair of size 16 jeans today.

You work in a school too then? 😉

I love the holidays.

I also love getting back into a routine!

Great progress!

Which walking pad do you have? I have been looking into them…
