Brilliant @Puffalicious

NSV- I’m staying with my mum for a few days and because she’s a borderline hoarder she has bags of clothes in different sizes. I fit in size 14!!!

I had a little free shopping session!

Edited

Absolute bonus- free shopping! 👏

RJmama · 25/08/2025 17:53

@ChiaraMontague it was me that recommended the cola protein Grin glad you like it! I still have most of a tub as I alternate it with another one.

It’s really really nice, so thank you for that 😁

I’ve also got the Raspberry Lemonade one but it’s nice to have some variety

I've had a bit of a brain fart- busy day. I have sone left in my 5mg pen, so I'm going to split this & the golden dose into roughly 2X 3.75mg.

This is the syringe I have- 1mg with 10-100 on the side. I could guesstimate half of what is left, but wanted to be more accurate to avoid SE if I go over.

How much would I pull with the syringe to get 3.75mg tonight?

Thanks wise jabbers.

The scales finally budged and I’m now officially 2 stone down!!! Still a long, long way to go, but I’m delighted because I was really hoping to hit this mark before a social event in the first week back to school next week.
I’m also going on a mini break with friends this weekend where it’ll be harder to stick to the plan without raising too many eyebrows/questions, so expecting a bit of a gain there.
woohoo!

healthjourney · 26/08/2025 06:54

@MissMogswoo hoo 🎉 that's such great progress

W19

-1lb = total of 1st 5lb
Happy with that as for three days last week I had practically no appetite.
Here's to another good week.

Done

Sorry, only just seen this @Puffalicious. It would be 37.5 from a 5mg pen, so just before the 40. I find chatgpt really useful for this kind of info btw. Just in case you're ever at a loss like that. Hope you managed to get your jab done x

DownhillAllTheWay · 26/08/2025 09:27

Week 11 here. Not a huge loss this week but not surprised really as been quite a social week and so stepped away from high protein low carb which clearly suits me better. Must work out how to manage that more effectively in future - I don’t want to gain weight just to be polite!

but
SW 92.05kg
CW 78.55kg
TW 60kg.

13.5kg down. The last clothing item I bought was a size 22 jacket. I’m now a comfortable size 18 and wearing some 16s. I can see the difference in my arms and legs; my waist has shrunk (I do have tgat comedy gap when I put on my biggest trousers), but my stomach has stayed the same size. So if I wear tighter clothes I look visibly thinner from the front but as soon as I turn sideways I’m still a weeble/Humpty Dumpty. Annoying.

sticking with mounjaro for now but also sticking with 5mg. If I have to increase I’ll have to look at Wegovy I think. But at 5 I have good suppression. I can overeat still but actually I think it’s helpful for longer term life for me to stay in the habit of being mindful rather than having a physical barrier to overeating, if that makes sense? Mix of mounjaro and willpower rather than just mounjaro. Will revisit if my weight loss stalls altogether.

this week though I’m also noticing that I can actually eat some of the foods I’d cut out altogether, I just have to plan for them. Bought a tiramisu for Sunday lunch and previously I would have scarfed the leftovers. This time I’m happily eating it over several days and really enjoying every mouthful. And I thought it was a very high cal treat but actually a proper portion as per serving size is under 200 calories! Fair enough not as high protein as the protein puddings but I can still have it and eat it without blowing everything.

60 would be 5mg (0.6ml)
30 would be 2.5mg
15 would be 1.25mg
so 45 would be 3.75mg

FoxRedPuppy · 26/08/2025 10:07

Well done @MissMogs. I felt somehow so much better at two stone loss, than 1st one 13lbs 😂.

LadyClumber · 26/08/2025 11:21

Wow! Great losses by @MissMogs and @DownhillAllTheWay! 🎉🎉

Not quite. A full 5mg dose from a 5mg pen is 0.6ml.
3.75mg is exactly three quarters of a dose, so that's 0.45ml, or 45 on the syringe.

@DownhillAllTheWay i am also doing the MJ plus willpower approach too. As you say it keeps the costs down and might make maintenance easier. I have gone down to 2.5mg from 5mg and I have not noticed a difference yet.

That’s good to know. 2.5 was pretty good but for now 5 seems to be a good balance.

Afternoon guys , I can't believe it's a new thread and page 11 !
I have been away for over a month I think the last I posted my pupper had just been PTS and I was going on holiday, well that was 6 weeks ago now and shit well and truly hit the fan when I got back and I lost my way , 12 hours after getting home and taking my first 5mg jab my husband disclosed a secret and walked out on me the prick but what I hadn't had chance to tell him was that I also was being triaged for a worrying mole on my face that was changing while on holiday and I was put on a 2 week pathway , iv had the imaging done and got the shock of my life when the email came through an hour later once the specialist had looked at them and sent for another urgent referral they suspect it's squamous cell carcinoma , I left feeling silly fully expecting it to say it was nothing and discharge me oh well . Anyway I haven't been eating or sleeping very well for weeks and my body began working against me and began putting weight on I'm guessing storing fat so over the last week or so I have been making a conscious effort to start eating during the day again and sleep properly because I need to be well for whatever is coming next and face the next phase of my life and this journey I can't let this get in the way of my goal and it's working because the kg came off again which was a relief onwards and downwards 🙏

Oof that sounds rough. Well done for getting to grips with it all - really hope the mole treatment is straightforwards.

Oh my god you have really been through it! I really hope you're ok and they can get rid of the pesky mole. That's the last thing you need by the sounds of it!

SunandMoor · 26/08/2025 16:11

@NeedyTiger - so sorry to hear your awful news and I hope it works out for you.

Crinklecat · 26/08/2025 16:39

@NeedyTiger thats a lot to deal with in a short space of time, look after yourself

FoxRedPuppy · 26/08/2025 17:11

God @NeedyTiger that is so much to deal with. I’d just focus on feeding yourself nutritious food to help your wellbeing.

Have they been through treatment options with you?
