Happy 1st birthday to us all - somewhere in this month we gathered our courage and started what would be a memorable journey for us all - made some hopefully forever friends

Gather round my little auggies 😍 and we are all doing amazingly so be proud of yourselves

the amount of weight per person lost varies from 1-2stone - 3-4 - 5-6 - 7+

in a year or for some 11-11.5mths - I was middle of August - we have totally changed our body shape - reduced our bmi and weight and hopefully improved our health

some are at goal - and working out how to maintain

some nearing it

some still have weight they want to lose

Some have stopped for cost / various reasons and blowing baby dust your way to those who are ttc

but ALL of us have lost weight and I love the fact we are all so supportive to each other over weight and our general day to day lives

maybe if brave - post your before and after pics to see how far we have come in a year

You look fab @PoemsForTea , love the dress. And good luck with the 12.5 @Azuresky68 , hopefully that will get rid of the pesky last few lbs and at least you know you’ve managed to maintain under 9 for months which is supposed to be great for the body to readjust to its new ‘set points ‘. I’m a pound up today as I had half of a Chinese takeaway dinner last night which is the first for months and it felt great being full lol. Tasted lovely but back on the regime today 😅

FurForksSake · 04/08/2025 19:21

Quiet day!

I have my hip injection and mri scan tomorrow. I’m a bit terrified that the injection won’t help and I’ll be screwed. Last time I had it done (prior to my last surgery) it did give me a good few months of relief and was able to return to some mobility.

feeling a bit under the weather, which is meaning I have really no appetite. I’ve had a protein shake just now after two small fajitas as I’m aware I haven’t eaten nearly enough the last few days. I’ve got really lazy with breakfasts and lunches. I really need to get on top of things as I just end up with a couple of small snacks and then dinner.

most annoyingly I’ve got dry mouth / sore throat / post nasal drip thing going on. I’m drinking a lot and therefore having to get up a lot to go to the loo which is rubbish with a bad hip!

Blondeshavemorefun · 04/08/2025 20:15

Good luck for tomorrow @FurForksSake

im going to bed early as up at 230am for flight

I will still come and annoy I mean support you all from abroad

I will relax more food wise and will have a few drinks / tho here I don’t really fancy booze so be interesting if want it there

and obv be hard to put into mfp but will try and not gain more then 7lbs like I usually do

looking forward to some vicarious holiday joy! There was a thread about alcohol and WLI. I’ve definitely not had any real interest, but holidays always feel a bit different!

MabelSpan · 04/08/2025 20:37

Have a great holiday @Blondeshavemorefun 😊

20bloodypounds · 04/08/2025 21:20

Have a great holiday @Blondeshavemorefun maybe even a wee holiday romance?!?!?!

20bloodypounds · 04/08/2025 21:22

@FurForksSake no point in worrying about it. Know that you have done the best you can by losing some of the pressure on your joints.

FurForksSake · 04/08/2025 21:41

5.5st of pressure 🤣

does anyone miss the bit of padding though? Hard chairs are my nemesis and in bed my knees hurt!

have an amazing holiday @Blondeshavemorefun

Slimhopes · 04/08/2025 21:55

I’m frequently surprised when I sit down and feel a hard chair @FurForksSake 😅 the bottom padding was quite useful but now it’s a saggy pancake😅 hope your injection gives you some relief tomorrow and mri goes well.
oh excited for you going on holiday @Blondeshavemorefun ! Wearing smaller clothes and enjoying the sunshine - have a great time !

Azuresky68 · 04/08/2025 22:55

@Blondeshavemorefun have a fabulous holiday. Enjoy wearing all your lovely dresses 👗

Azuresky68 · 04/08/2025 22:56

@FurForksSake all the very best to you for your injection. Keeping everything crossed for you xx

Azuresky68 · 04/08/2025 22:59

@Slimhopes thanks and yes i am trying to stay positive about seeing it as maintaining rather than being stuck on sts 😊

Blondeshavemorefun · 05/08/2025 03:36

Thanks all. At airport now

@FurForksSake I sit on 2 cushions on the sofa. I really miss my arse

in my 6s pic i posted on other thread you can see how much bum and padding I lost !!!

@NippyNinjaCrab hmmm unlikely. I have mini blondes with me and still licking my wounds lol xx

Have a lovely holiday with Mini Blondes @Blondeshavemorefun ☺️

WitchDancer · 05/08/2025 08:43

Morning all, sorry I’m late!

I’m 45lb down. which would have been more but I’ve had the hunger for the past couple of weeks. That combined with having treats in the house for my boys when they come to visit is really not a good combination. I really miss my suppression - I’m tirarating down because I simply can’t afford to carry on. Still, I can do this. I just need to meal plan and have some self discipline and keep off what I’ve lost. Anything more I loose is a bonus. I’ve still got 28lb to go to reach my target.

I need to go through my wardrobe and get rid of the clothes that are really too big now. I had pair of jeans on this weekend and they kept on slipping down at most inconvenient times.

FurForksSake · 05/08/2025 10:44

Well done @WitchDancerthats a great loss!

injection and mri all done, I had to ask for extra padding under my back as i just cannot lie on my back at the best of times let alone on an mri table for 45 minutes!

hip feels weird, but im hoping the pain killers he’s injected will help and continue to help.

Azuresky68 · 05/08/2025 11:17

My one year anniversary is on 24th August.

I started at 11 stone, size 14 and 4 foot 11.
Age 68, now 69.
Original goal was 9 stone.
Lost 11 inches off my waist.
Weigh 8 stone 10 and have maintained around 8 stone 12 since February.
Been on 10 for ages! Size 8/XS
Just gone up to 12.5 to get to my new goal of 8 stone 7.
Probably stay on MJ long term

Azuresky68 · 05/08/2025 11:31

As it's our one year anniversary is thought I would name check the people still here.
Sorry if I missed anyone.

Azuresky68 · 05/08/2025 11:34

Azuresky68 · 05/08/2025 11:41

Apologies that the list is a mess ..I have fat fingers!!

BettyandtheVets · 05/08/2025 11:59

thanks @Azuresky68

@WitchDancer you sound similar to me in terms of where I’m at. I think if I ‘just’ had weight to lose I’d be pretty confident my eating habits have changed to the point that whilst it would be a struggle I could manage.

however, it’s all the added stuff that MJ has sorted for me that I’d be really worried about reappearing. Anxiety, joint pain, sleep apnoea, IBS, plantar fasciitis, so much stuff that I can’t even remember half of it. Which reminds me that if the research turns out to be correct and it does have protective effects in relation to dementia, then that’s massive for me. DM had early onset and I noticed symptoms from her being 52. I’m currently 53 so it’s absolutely worth the money for me. Think DH would give up a lot for me to remain on it as he has been astounded at its effects.

Started 15st 4lb also a short arse 5’2”
Current weight 11st 9.2lb (the .2 is important as I need to lose that to get to below BMI of 30 😆)
target weight 9st 9lb which will be BMI of 25

currently on 12.5 and down want to go up to 15 yet as there’s nowhere to go after that but may reassess at the end of this pen.

Redlightbulb · 05/08/2025 12:44

I think today is actually my 1 year anniversary.

Started at 20st 4lb 5’8” 43.2 BMI.
Weighed in this morning at 14 stone 11lb. 31.5 BMI
So that's a 5 1/2 stone loss.
I had lost a stone prior to MJ as well so 6 1/2 lost if including that.
Target weight for now is 11 stone. 23.4 BMI.
Started 15mg on Sunday.

My plantar fasciitis has improved as well. My feet used to hurt after only walking a few thousand steps. It is still there but definitely better.
The expensive trainers I bought feel more cushiony now!

MabelSpan · 05/08/2025 13:08

Hi @Azuresky68 It will be my anniversary on 11th Aug 25 so will do a full update and reflection then 😊

poppym12 · 05/08/2025 14:06

I started on 11th August too. I've lost just over 33kg (not worked out the lbs amount) and BMI currently 25.8.

I'd like to lose another 3 or 4kg but that doesn't seem to be happening.

I was disappointed I hadn't got there yet but it's all had to be done with calorie counting as my capacity for exercise is non existent so I'll try not to beat myself up too much.

Blondeshavemorefun · 05/08/2025 14:27

Waves from by the pool. This is why I get up at silly o clock so have pool from noon
