Well my goodness. Thread 7. Warriors, we are 6 months in! How life has changed.

To all of you who have made it: many, many congratulations and good luck with the continued maintenance. To the rest of the team still climbing that mountain: we got this, let’s bloody go!!

SW 103.9kg / 16.4 stone
CW 73.4kg / 11.6 stone
TW 72.2kg / 11.4 stone (top end healthy BMI)
Dream weight 68kg / 10.7 stone

Reeeeeeally want to get to target weight before holiday in 10 days time so time really is ticking now! Feel like one of the Lionesses: must keep my cool, bang it in the back of the net and get the job done.

You are all absolutely amazing and the continued support on this group is incredible.

Onwards and downwards! Godspeed for thread 7! xx

P.S. have clearly plagiarised some phrases from some of you good people. Hope you don’t mind: feel they’re part of our thing as a group now so please take it as flattery!

Well done @PurpleCoo and @LaurenW!

LaurenW · 03/10/2025 21:23

Started at a size 18 and I’m now a size 10…which I don’t think I’ve ever been. I’m tall - so have had to buy pretty much a whole new wardrobe…Total weight loss so far 5 1/2 stone. I’m at tw and have kept it off for 6 weeks.

Wow, well done, that's amazing! Fantastic to be keeping it off too. I do worry I will gain it back. I am with you on the whole new wardrobe thing though, it's costing a fortune! I started as a 16 and a 10-12 now. I think I am really between sizes, but desperately need clothes so can't really hang on, plus I'm not confident if I get to an always a size 10 I will stay there, so happy to wear 12s unless they are really baggy

CoolLimeSheep · 03/10/2025 22:07

@LaurenW thats amazing at tw and kept it off 6 weeks and being a size 10 your awesome 👌 👏 ❤️.
@PurpleCoo unfortunately weather can be a pain in arse but really am making most of it been on dance floor doing cha cha slide love old party music 🎶.
Update blood test no action needed so must have just been mj so no clue if it does eventually grow back but surely it will and I got appointment for b12 Injection mixed up was due on 2nd so now got wait till 15th. If all plans do fail this weekend I will be doing four waterfalls next year and another trip up snowdon. Found now im more active I feel like I need push my body and your all doing bloody amazing be proud of yourself

NSV: I can see my ribs!

mumandgran24 · 04/10/2025 08:37

Well done to everyone with losses and NSV. So many of this group getting to target or almost there is so amazing well done all 😎

SW 16 stone 10
CW 12stone 6
loss so far 4 stone 4 or 60lb

I still want to lose another 2 stone or so to get me into the healthy weight band but it feels amazing to have lost so much already.

Had a great NSV yesterday. I had a lovely pair of jeans from about 2000. They were expensive and I got them for Christmas after losing some weight after having my first baby and was going back to work after maternity so went on a diet and got these nice expensive pair. I loved them but didn’t get to wear them much and then had another child and started to creep up in weight.

Over the years I kept them as I loved them so much and tbh they looked like new so couldn’t bear to part with them. They were packed away in a cupboard for years. I recently had sort out and found them so I put them in the bottom of a drawer thinking with MJ maybe one day.

Yesterday I spotted them in the drawer and just thought let’s see how much further I need to go to get in them. Oh my goodness they slipped straight on and fit like a glove yay!

My two teens did a double take of them and they both said they were “cool” and “retro old school” and that they would absolutely be something they would wear lol.

Genuinely in shock and for the first time in decades I looked in a mirror and thought, u know I actually look pretty good.

will be back to hating my lumps and bumps soon no doubt, but is a good feeling. May start to enjoy buying clothes again and see them as more than just a cover up, although could be an expensive hobby to take up lol. Eldest said to get myself on Vinted which I know many of u guys use.

usedtobeaylis · 04/10/2025 08:45

My scale is showing absolutely zero loss all week, I have to admit I'm feeling quite frustrated by the slowness at the moment. If there no loss tomorrow then I'll have lost only 2lb this month. I've increased my exercise slightly but I don't really know what else to do. I'm not reducing my calories. I'm still well within weekly calories. I'm supposed to be looking at tapering down Mounjaro but wonder if I need a bump to kickstart things again.

SkintSingleMumm · 04/10/2025 10:24

I think im going to be able to restart wli again. I was up to 7.5mg. Would i have to go back to 2.5mg if its only been a month without anything?

CoolLimeSheep · 04/10/2025 11:12

@SkintSingleMumm if its only a month I dont think you will have restart at 2.5 mg😄.
@usedtobeaylis i can understand your frustration i keep going up a couple of pounds then down again this week its bloody annoying
@WoolerOwl woohoo to can see you ribs 😀💪

SpiralSister · 04/10/2025 12:59

Hola! NSV: walked around mountain top town in 30 degree plus heat, no chub rub shorts, no chafing, no discomfort, nothing. Yay!

PurpleCoo · 04/10/2025 13:58

@usedtobeaylis might you have shrunk at all? Or retaining water? I have also only lost about 2lb/1kg in the past month, but I think I am a) going through body recomposition, especially in my legs and arms as they suddenly seem slimmer but also squishier in places and more muscular in other places all at the same time and b) retaining water as I have just come to the end of my 2 weeks of conti patches, and I think I definitely hold more water during those 2 weeks, and then drop the water in the estrogen only weeks.

usedtobeaylis · 05/10/2025 08:57

W33 Day 1
SW: 16st 5lb
CW: 12st 7lb
Loss this week: 1lb
Total loss: 3st 12lb

I had a mini target set of 12st 4lb for 20th October and at the time that seemed so far away that surely I would hit it. Now I'm not even convinced. 3lb in a month and I'm still a good 2 stone-ish away from the top end of a healthy BMI. Still happy with overall loss but finding this very frustrating. 3lb in a month when you're doing everything right feels slow and again, I wish people would understand that this is what people mean when they say they try to lose weight but it doesn't seem to work. Even though it still a loss, 'better off than on' doesn't undo the demotivation you can feel from it.

I think I move up to a 12.5mg pen today and to get the max doses around my current dose I think I can get 6 x 8.3mg. I don't know what difference .3mg will do but I'll see if a minor bump will kickstart me a wee bit.

@PurpleCoo I felt like I was retaining water a couple of weeks ago and was hoping for a whoosh but it never came. Drinking loads of water, increased my exercise a little bit, but I'm really not prepared to go under 1500 calories per day. I've checked multiple TDEE calculators and even at any kind of goal weight I should still be able to eat 1500 calories. Anything less feels like it's into unhealthy territory for me, not just in terms of energy especially when I'm exercising but psychologically as well.

narkyspirit · 05/10/2025 10:23

Week 35 day 2.

SW 95.9 Kg
Cw 76.3

Loss 19.6kg = 20.4%

Ive gained this last week which is annoying but, hopefully this week can get back on track..

I have seen a few clients this week that I haven't seen for a few months who commented about weight loss which is interesting as in the last 7 weeks I have dropped 2.8 Kg, not quite 1/2 a stone but I'm looking much leaner so happy about that part.

With pricing now I'm looking to drop down to 2.5Mg in the next 3/4 months with a view of coming off completely by Feb next year. If I can drop to just under 11stone by then I'll be happy.

CoolLimeSheep · 05/10/2025 15:08

Crosspatchy · 05/10/2025 20:29

I’ve just used a syringe to get my golden dose. I did use the sterile wipes on my skin but have noticed that I must have let the needle slip a bit and I now have a blister of Mounjaro visible under my skin. It’s not sore or anything but I just wondered if anyone else has done this and how quickly it went away?

laundryhamper · 05/10/2025 20:30

@LaurenW How does your maintenance dose compare to your previous?

Mounjaroday · 05/10/2025 21:27

@usedtobeaylis I wonder if you’ve tried intermittent fasting to mix things up a bit? It might surprise your body out of its plateau.

There are three things that I find work for me. One is an eating window from noon to 7pm. Same daily calories, but within a shorter time period.

Another is to have two days a week with fewer calories - maybe 800. But then have a feast day where you eat sensibly, but more than usual, and trick your body out of the fear of famine.

And the third is to combine the two - so follow low cal breakfast and lunch only on one day with normal cal lunch and dinner on the next day, meaning you have a 24 hour no eating period, from noon to noon.

You need to keep the nutritional value of your food high (eggs, avocado, kefir etc) and drink lots of clear fluids (and maybe a little bit more salt), but I find that mixing things up like this really helps get your body out of its rut.

It might not work for you and I get that psychologically it really doesn’t work for everyone, because it might be too restrictive, but just a thought in case it’s helpful.

PurpleCoo · 06/10/2025 07:35

@CoolLimeSheep Aww, it's a shame when the weather doesn't play fair and messes with your plans. I am sure you will love the waterfalls you do get to see. Assuming you are in a car, you should be able to park much closer to the waterfalls as well. I had my motorhome so I was limited by which car park I was allowed in, and it was quite a long trek from there

@PurpleCoo yeh in a car how long did it take you get round them all I need find the postcode for closest car park. I'd love a moterhome maybe one day I'll have one 😄

PurpleCoo · 06/10/2025 07:50

@CoolLimeSheep I have no idea about timings sorry. I was there for hours, because I stop and talk to people, the dog always attracts 'fans' who want to meet him and have pictures (it was worse when I had two of them, people would form queues!) plus I do photography, so was setting up my tripod to do long exposure pictures with ND filters etc 🤣🤦‍♀️ So people ask about that too.

Honestly, these people who say they feel invisible when they hit their 40s/50s or are overweight need to live my life 🤦‍♀️🤣 We always seem to attract attention and interest wherever we go and it takes forever to do anything. We even get recognised sometimes 🤣 And no I'm not a secret social media influencer

sweetpickle2 · 06/10/2025 10:45

Right, after a few weeks of injury and illness and frankly being over it (I've been going a couple of weeks between jabs/tapering down) I've decided I need to lock in again before bad habits start creeping in. So I've done a 10mg jab this morning- have been on 7.5mg for the last month or so- and will see what that does.

I quite like the idea of going up and down a dose as and when needed (sensibly of course) depending on what I need and what the mood is. It's a big birthday for me at the end of next month and I'm having a big party, I'd like to get a couple more kgs off and be in the 70s by then if I can.

SW 107.8kg
CW 82kg
GW (for my birthday) 79kg

Good luck this week all!

CoolLimeSheep · 06/10/2025 19:42
