I noticed we were almost full (again!) so took the liberty of starting thread 5 now so I don’t get confused on nightshift and can’t find you all!

I had another wobble about not losing actual lbs but feeling trimmer, my PT at the gym asked today if I was working out more so I whinged about not losing lbs but feeling smaller and she reminded me that a lb of fat takes up more space than an a lb of muscle. So I may well have lost fat but built muscle to the same weight but not the same volume, hence trimmer but not lighter! This may help some of those who feel they are working out, in calorie deficit but weight isn't moving much.

It’s true. About 30 years ago when I was applying to airlines as cabin crew I lost about 2 stones to get to the correct height/weight for their criteria. They weighed you at the first interview. I was about 3lbs over the top limit the week before the interview (despite being a fit and toned size 12)., My doctor told me to stop doing all exercise for that week (I was a life guard and did a lot of mountain biking). I did and I lost the 3lbs. I felt wobblier, but I weighed less.

Sallycinnamum · 31/07/2025 22:32

Evening everyone. Off to the Baelerics tomorrow so taken my shot a day early but was panicking big time as id accidentally added two shots to the Shotsy app so it looked like the levels of meds in my system just as we are taking off would be literally sky high!

Thankfully realised once I'd calmed down.

Managed to get 6 shots out of my last 5mg pen with a mixture of 3mg and 3.33mg but tonight's was 2.67mg just to be on the safe side.

Be interesting to see how I fare next week with lots of tempting food and drink.

lissie123 · 01/08/2025 07:31

Good morning Losers
Have a lovely holiday @Sallycinnamum
Just getting through reading the new thread after a few days away from it.
My stats are
F 54
SW 13’3 BMI 30.8
CW 11’5 26.5
GW ?
Due a jab number 13 today.
Hope everyone’s weight loss journey isn’t too challenging this week.

PandaIsMySpiritAnimal · 01/08/2025 07:37

Morning all. I'm finally back to my regular Friday weigh in. I have lost 2 lbs since Tuesday, since I returned from my 3 weeks away, so I consider it a win. I'm now back to my regular Friday weigh in so can't wait for what the next full week will bring.

I'm now down 12.5 kg / 27.5 lbs 1.97 stones. (I think I'm 1/2 lb away from 2 stone loss). Can't wait to get to the 2 at loss as it's one of my mini targets.

Things are a bit hectic as I'm starting a new role today but very excited for the change.

I'll also be doing my monthly pictures & measurements tomorrow so can't wait to see the full difference from day 1. Onwards & downwards everyone :)

notgonnafail · 01/08/2025 07:49

Congrats for all NSV and SVs everyone. Hugs to those in need of reassurance for whatever reason and hang in there!

Monthly weigh-in today. Only down 2.6lbs this month, but haven't been on top of my eating at all due to decorating and missing pusscat, so am happy there's been any loss at all.

SW 115kg
CW 108kg
GW 70ishkg

I have also lost 5cm off my bust, 4cm off my waist and 4cm off my hips, so measurements definitely heading in the right direction. Clothes are definitely looser, though not sure if I have dropped any dress sizes yet, as I live and die in work clothes or pjs (though bottoms of those do keep falling down!)

I am tantalisingly close to getting into the 16stone bracket, at 17st exactly, so hoping that refocussing on the food a bit more will have me heading there very soon.

DidILeaveTheGasOn · 01/08/2025 09:04

Good luck today Panda!

Hope @MyScaredCat Is okay. Any sightings of your moggie @notgonnafail?

Week 12 weigh-in day for me. Another 2lbs down.

SW: 17 Stone 2 / 240lbs
CW: 14 Stone 11 / 207lbs
GW: 10 Stone

SignedUpAgain · 01/08/2025 09:04

@notgonnafail
We are on similar journey - although I have a bit more to lose.

SW 123kg at start of May
CW 109

Slow losses here

Doesn’t that sound good, into the 14s! I started a week and a half behind you, similar start weights and I’m just teetering on the edge of the 14s (one more lb and I’m in, but seem to be having a slow week!)

HKG · 01/08/2025 09:21

Oh disappointing news from me today, a 1.2lb gain. Taking my total loss in 10 weeks back down to 23lbs. CW 205lbs.

I am very disappointed as although I’ve had two donor lunches out, it wasn’t enough to justify a gain and I certainly worked hard to make up for them. Just makes me worry also about when I come off the jabs…

I’m on a three week break from work now for the summer with the kids so will prioritise exercise. I’ll go back and read through all the posts of what everyone’s doing to try and understand how much to do. My lovely PT husband whilst super supportive has been been bigger so I feel always underestimated how much exercise I need to do!

ive never been a three pound a week loser - can I do it this week before going on holiday next week?!

notgonnafail · 01/08/2025 09:28

@DidILeaveTheGasOn No sign of my little Alice, sadly.

@SignedUpAgain I'm not planning to drop down into a 'healthy' so-called BMI, but somewhere between 25 and 30. I am quite big-boned and know that going lower than 70kg will have my face looking like a skeletal horse. I was a competitive swimmer in my teens (when I foolishly compared my muscular and solid frame to my tiny non-athlete friends and thought I was huge!) and the lowest I could go and be healthy was around 70kg, so have no desire to drop lower than that now, and all the research shows that being in the 'overweight' category as you age has better health outcomes, too, so as am in my 50's, it seems foolish to try and drop to a weight I haven't seen since I was 12!

BerfyTigot · 01/08/2025 11:17

@notgonnafail I'm also aiming for a slightly higher goal weight - bmi 27, which is the lowest I've been as an adult.

NSV today - another hole on watch strap. It's slightly snug but not bad. Wish I'd measured myself before I started.

Well done to everyone who's losing.

SussexLass87 · 01/08/2025 11:27

Morning all

After last week's maintenance it's a 2lb gain here. Had a little cry, beaten myself up a bit (as we all do!) and dusting myself off to really have another good go next week.

It's frustrating as if I'd been out for dinners and takeaways then I'd be able to explain it, but I thought I'd worked hard this week. Tracked all my intake and been in a deficit.

Anyway! Off for a swim with the little goblins later so hope the sunshine stays out for us!

Love, Lass xx

ElsieJay · 01/08/2025 11:28

This thread moves so quickly !
Well done to all the losers , and some very inspiring NSVs too.
Like @VashtaNerada , I have far too many clothes in a wide range of sizes, so resolved not to buy anything until much nearer to my goal weight. Just need to stop browsing online!
Weighed at WW this morning , 4lbs off which I’m pleased with, though slightly less than my own scales showed a couple of days ago. I’ll stick to the weekly weigh there in future , I think .
Had a great day out yesterday, took a picnic lunch thank goodness - so many food outlets with wall-to-wall beige food offerings , and not a lettuce leaf or piece of fruit in sight 😱.
I did succumb to a choc ice whilst waiting for the coach home, but we’d done a lot of walking so that was my excuse ☺️.
I’m enjoying the WW membership, funnily enough today’s topic was the importance of receiving and giving support - so now feel I have this in real life as well as on this invaluable ( and very chatty ! ) thread.
DS has a birthday this weekend, he’s still dithering about whether or not he wants to go out for a meal, but will deal with that when/ if it happens.
Onwards and downwards !

tostaky · 01/08/2025 11:41

Well done for all the losses and sorry for those maintaining or gaining. I feel it is all part of the body adjusting to the changes.
i have developed an awful taste in my mouth and so i have created a thread on the WLI forum because i think it is because of ketosis and not sure how to manage this.

Influenced by this thread i signed up to binted, found a really nice blouse for £5, ordered it and when i showed my beautiful bargain to DP on the app, i notice on the description that there are two holes in the sleeve! Thats why it was so cheap! I am no seamstress and the fabric is delicate so it is a bit of a lost cause now… feeling cross with myself!

Kbr22 · 01/08/2025 11:45

Hi, hope you are all well.I am still plodding! From 76.8 now 74.3 down 2.5kg in 4 weeks on 7.5 pen. The good thing is that I haven’t had any SA’s on this pen, but thinking of moving up to 10 next week in the hope I could lose more. I am doing weights and cardio 4 times a week so hoped this would help but it doesn’t seem to.
Looking at others that started when I did and have lost more so feeling a little dispondent.
I would be happy if I could lose 2lb a week, which would be 3.6kg a month. This seems achievable by others.

But happy for those that are achieving well x

So annoying! I have made a couple of regrettable purchases too: a jumper where I assumed it was wool and it's a nasty bobbly acrylic, and a belt which is far too small for me (even at my most aspirational size). Hoping that they will be more than balanced out by the bargains as there have been some lovely things too.

Shwingbada · 01/08/2025 15:08

@Kbr22 I would only go up if you're struggling with sticking to the calorie deficit.

DidILeaveTheGasOn · 01/08/2025 15:28

Had a glorious chicken salad for lunch but it was far too red oniony, even for me. It took me OUT. I was crying out of one eye by the end. I think I can smell onion coming out of every pore.

Will it put me off red onions? I'm not a quitter! No! But please help me, especially my tongue with its endless onionyness. Bleurgh.

Anyway, aside from my stink and onto a much more pleasant topic mentioned above, belts!

Whilst my top half is obligingly dropping weight everywhere (not all from my boobs straightaway, thank goodness, I was worried I'd deflate like a flan in a cupboard), my bottom half is resolutely robust. My bottom has shrunk, but the rest is the same. I have decided that when I reach goal, or I'm happy with my shape (whichever comes first), I'm going to finally treat myself to a Kurt Geiger belt. I have wanted this belt FOREVER and never justified the cost but having since gone beyond the size limits of normal belts, I'm definitely buying one when it will fit.

This is the one I've wanted forever, but I think this one is just gorgeous too:

I wonder if I'll end up slim and homeless due to a belt buying addiction...

MarinaDelRay · 01/08/2025 15:37

I hear you, @SignedUpAgain. I think I’m probably the slowest loser on here. I’m on the last day of week 11 and have only lost 9lbs. I did 7 weeks of 2.5mg and 4 of 7mg and have only just experienced true appetite suppression and lack of food noise in the last few days. I’ll keep going of course but it is frustrating.

Shwingbada · 01/08/2025 15:51

"resolutely robust" 😍😂👌

AlicesMum2025 · 01/08/2025 16:50

@DidILeaveTheGasOn my weight has mostly come off my top half too - my stomach mostly but a little bit from my boobs. I was shopping for clothes this week and I fit a large or size 20 on top, but an XXL or size 24 was tight over my hips. I'm a pear shape but I must be a very oddly shaped pear at the moment for there to be such a discrepancy; a bit like one of those 'wonky' pears you get at the supermarket. Thank goodness for lycra.

I also love red onion so I've been in your position with too much on my plate but still feeling compelled to battle on and eat it!

AlicesMum2025 · 01/08/2025 16:58

Hi everyone, congrats on all the losses and hugs to anyone that’s struggling.

Today is my week 13 weigh in and 1kg / 2.2lb off again this week. This brings my total loss to 17.6kg / 2st 11lb / 39lb.

I had an extra SV this week by getting my BMI down into the next decade. It’s still a shockingly high number, and I’m still class III obese, but I’m taking it as a win.

My next interim goal is 7.5kg away but I just realised that I’m close to 3st loss. I don’t think I’ll hit that this week but perhaps in 2 weeks time🤞.

I did my jab in my thigh last night for the first time. Since I went up to 3.75mg I have been getting bruises at my injection site on my stomach, and then for the last 4 or 5 jabs I’ve also had an itchy rash around it. Maybe the bruising is from poor technique but I’ve seen a few other people here talking about a red rash at the injection site. I’m crossing my fingers that a bruise and rash don't come up over the weekend. If it does, at least walking around scratching my thigh looks less weird than scratching my belly 🤣

I impulsively signed up for group personal training for over 40s at a local gym last week. I'm going to have to make some sacrifices to afford it but it's an investment I'm prepared to make in order to hit my health goals.

I had my induction last night but I literally had nothing appropriate to wear. Queue me looking around everywhere this week to find workout gear in size 24-26. I managed to get some XXL leggings from Sainsbury’s and then Next and M&S online. Yes, the lycra is being stretched to its limits, but at least they fit. I got a couple of sleeveless cotton tops from Amazon and some industrial sports bras from M&S. Paired with some new, bright white trainers and I was ready. We didn’t do much during the session, just a few simple exercises so the PT could assess us and see if we needed any adjustments. My first proper session is at 7am on Monday (and then 7am Wednesday and Friday). I am NOT a morning person but it’s the time that works best for mine and DH schedule. I’ll do my best not to growl at everyone but I have warned the PT! Wish me luck!

ElsieJay · 01/08/2025 16:59

@notgonnafail - sorry to hear your fur baby still not home.
I’ve just been speaking to my daughter, they fly off on holiday on Sunday and one of their cats ( they have 3 ) hasn’t been seen since yesterday afternoon .
Milo isn’t one to bypass mealtime, so they are hoping and praying he turns up soon. 🐈

planesick · 01/08/2025 17:16

Congratulations to all the losers!🎉
@MarinaDelRay I am also a slow loser..I am trying to be positive, but it is a struggle.
I am one pound away from breaking the 14st barrier...this week surely!?!
I have moved up to 5mg and have had some nausea today... hopefully that passes soon.
Keep the faith everyone 💪

notgonnafail · 01/08/2025 17:20

@ElsieJay Really hope Milo shows up soon. Alice is also usually one to set your clock by when it comes to meals, which just makes it worse thinking how many she's now missed.
