I noticed we were almost full (again!) so took the liberty of starting thread 5 now so I don’t get confused on nightshift and can’t find you all!

Lovely variety of chat to catch up on ! - exotic holidays, great losses and NSVs, a few hiccups, the inherent evil 👿 of bourbon biscuits and 1970’s avocados 🥑- and the great news some deliveries are hopefully on their way 🤞.
@hottubsundays - wonder if the snarky Boots assistant is related to the Acid Queen from Asda ? I know exactly how you felt , well done that store manager for going above and beyond to help .
@DBatteryBand - love love love the Dowager Duchess of Downton , that’s going to be the voice in my head now !
I’ve been browsing the online auction of the props and outfits from the series - nothing affordable for me, sadly , but thoroughly enjoyed the clothes, pure elegance and escapism.
What would I do without this thread ? 🥰

WW weighing day , another 1.5lbs off this week which makes 10lbs for the month .
Happy with that, especially as exercise has taken a bit of a back seat recently.
What are we all up to this long weekend, with the prospect of a sunny Bank Holiday ?
We’re going to see DS and his lovely GF’s new house , then all of us going out for a pub lunch. I’ve Googled the menu and think it should be manageable for me.
Also planning to remove some shrubs from the back garden if the weather holds.

@Seahorsesplendour thank you for your thoughts! They are really helpful to me too. You’re right, I too have also had a lifetime of daily battles where the only treats for myself were edible but that has changed with MJ. That should be enough.

feeling discouraged and disappointed.

just started 2nd 7.5mg pen yesterday. So today I feel pretty awful which I normally do on day 2.

Don’t be discouraged- I had a sts last week. The day after 1lb came off and this week 3lbs. Weight loss works in mysterious ways.

Well done @DidILeaveTheGasOn. It’s coming off fast for you. I’m similar start and I’m six lbs behind, despite being angelic in what I’m eating (the dowager would be pleased!). Although I started late May.

I’ve got my bundle order today. I’m hoping that if I eek pens out an extra week or so (two weeks in on pen’s case) I can limp through to the end of Feb now. I’ll be taking six 5mg doses from the first 7.5 pen, then two 5mg doses from the second 7.5 pen followed by three 6mg doses. Then going up to 7.5 for the 10mg pen etc. A bit dodgy I know. I just went onto another forum I used to go on and read their WLI thread. Two regular posters on their work in the pharmaceutical industry and they are very negative about taking drugs past their recommended dates. Scared me a little. I’m also a bit worried that I won’t have any MJ left at the end for titring down to wean off, especially as I won’t have ordered anywhere for months and should hopefully be near goal, so wouldn’t qualify as a new customer either. Wondering if I should try to get a 5mg pen for that now? I feel so naughty, im such a rule follower normally, but this is the only way I could afford to carry on.

@Gingercar the chemist4you order is still ‘pending’ apparently so I’m not hopeful.

@Gingercar - did the pharmacists specify whether using MJ past recommended dates was actively dangerous, or only possibly less effective ?
As if the latter , I think I’d take the chance.

Possibly more dangerous- saying that drugs are licensed in a certain way for a reason…. More chance of infection etc.

@Gingercar I would totally try to get a 5mg for the journey down now. As long as it’s unopened it will keep and better to know you have it than go cold turkey. If you can that is!

I think it will come. Mine suddenly changed to approved yesterday and was posted immediately. I think they’re just going through a lot of orders. Yours was a day or two after mine, I think.

I'm a similar age and did Rosemary Conley diet and exercise classes. Fat was definitely the enemy.

@HKG think I'd be inclined to go up a dose. I definitely have more suppression on higher doses.

Also with a higher dose pen you can always drop back down and get more doses out of your pen as long as you keep it in the fridge.

Love the Dowager taking control - not just of what I eat but maybe my entire life. 'Oh no, Apprenante, we don't wear clothes with creases' would be useful too. The bourbons aren't a problem at all. I just don't buy them.

You can visit the Downton auction at Bonhams until the 16th September. I'll try to go this week on behalf of the team and report back.

My pen from Medino has just been approved too (despite me placing the order on the early hours of the 15th) and i hope it is will be despatched soon. I will have three months of supply. According to my spreadsheet, i will reach my TW of 66kg on Christmas day! However i am a bit behind so i may need an extra month or two to take me there.
and then i would like to microdose for a year to consolidate my loss (not sure yet, maybe 1mg every 10 days?)
im definitely ordering larger pens so hopefully they give me more flexibility. I am still on 2.5mg every 8-10 days.
im planning to order one or two 7.5mg pen on pay day next week and with sept pay day, i will order a 10mg pen. I need to calculate how many i need. I will order one every month, until i have enough to last me a year of super-low maintenance.

Lovely to hear about planning holidays far away… when i was young, i didnt have money to travel, then when i was working i didnt have enough holidays… and then i had children… I WILL travel when i’ll retire!!! Both Japan and Africa are on my list!!

I reckon MJ is a skinny middle-aged French woman with a gauloise between her fingers, a bit too wrinkly from too much sun & nicotine. Mostly survives on coffee. 😆
