I noticed we were almost full (again!) so took the liberty of starting thread 5 now so I don’t get confused on nightshift and can’t find you all!

@FlorenceNightshade how fabulous! I don’t think I’ve been a size ten since I was ten years old!

@Sallycinnamum why not try spacing the injections out a bit? I’ve left 8 days between jabs for the last two weeks. I forgot last week but did it deliberately this week. Another way to eek out the pens for me, but it also means I’m dealing a little more with hunger/food noise - which I think is probably a good thing for the future and coming off them.

which I needed tonight!! Horrid MJ period from hell and so need it to end!!! Don’t think I’ll be dropping the 3lb I need to get to 3st this week!!

even my dark chocolate cherries didn’t cut it and I had a bar of dairy milk!!!! First one since MJ! Was just a small bar which in days gone by would have been miraculous but heho!!! 🙈

Has anyone tried injecting into a different area of the body and the effect it has? I akways did thighs till last week, and saw a YouTube video which said there is some limited research into this showing stomach injecting has better suppression, so I tried it and think it works! Id forgotten id done it and was idly thinking I wonder why this past week has felt easier to eat less, then remembered my mini experiment 😄
Thanks for the Sliced Bread podcast recommendation @SutekhsEars, that sounds really interesting 👍 I did a DEXA body scan 2 years ago for medical research and thought my body fat measurements matched my scales, but thinking back I was 6kg heavier, so im probably under what my bathroom ones are reading. And as you say it's an algorithm rather than a bloody reading anyway! I will ditch that goal!

@stripesdotsdashes i always inject in my abdomen but I did notice when I downloaded the Shotsy app that you can record which site you’re using. I thought it was to ensure rotation but maybe it does make a difference? No idea 🤷‍♀️ Even if it is a placebo I’m glad you’re feeling better

Had my reorder for my next pen approved...then immediately emailed to be told it'll be delayed by '2 to 3 weeks'...so looks like I'm going cold turkey once I'm back from holiday.

I'm fuming and scared to be honest.

If you’re able to cover the cost, you could go to a pharmacy in-person and pick up a pen to keep you going, then use the one on order the following month? Front-loading the cost will save you money next month

I injected into my thighs for the first two months, then my stomach for the last few weeks. Hasn’t made the slightest difference. I don’t get much suppression at all. Even delaying my jab by 24 hours hasn’t. I usually jab Tuesday night. Last week I did weds morning. This week I still haven’t. I might tonight. I’m on jab 13, still 5mg.

@stripesdotsdashes I am pretty sure I have less suppression when thigh injecting.

I might swap to my stomach this week and see if it makes a difference instead of upping the dose.

I swapped from stomach to thigh to minimise side effects but my body should be used to the slightly higher dose now. I'll report back!

I feel weirdly nervous about injecting in my stomach. I think I’m worried it’ll make me be sick which I know isn’t the case!

I also alternate between thighs and stomach a lot and I don't feel any particular difference.

To add to my SV, my BMI has dipped into the 30's! 39.9! I've been in the 40s so long, I never imagined getting into the 30s again.

My weightloss has been slow, just 16.8lbs since starting in late May, but I have a lot of metabolic health stuff to heal so wasn't ever expecting it to be quick. But it is amazing to me to see 16st, rather than 18/19st, and a BMI that has me at just obese, rather than severely obese now!

Morning all, here’s my Week 13 update

-5lb off this week which is good as that’s my holiday weight and an extra 2lb gone.

I’m pleased to get back to normal eating and bowel movements after holiday.

I’ve been thinking about what to do about the price increases, I can’t afford to continue if they go up massively and if I lose another 3lb I’ll be at a 2 stone loss which is more than I set out to achieve so I’m wondering if it’s naturally time for me to try and come off…

I’ve got 1 more pen coming in a couple of weeks then I think that will be it. I think I can pause my treatment rather than cancel so I’m not sure if that means I can just restart it if I start to gain significantly?

@Apprenante It feels rather odd to be honest. I've had one dip to this weight/BMI on just one day in 2024 when I was very strict keto, but then the weight piled back on again, so I'm praying that won't happen this time! I've already made it to 2 days now, so just need to keep going.

I've been wondering if my weightloss has been so slow, partly because of the amount of metabolic mayhem in my body, but also because I had been at about the same weight for such a very long time and that my body has been unwilling to move past such a strong setpoint. I'm hoping we're going to storm past it now!

My three pen bundle has been approved after a week. I feel so relieved. With what I currently have I hope to be able to get six months out of these pens by under dosing and golden doses. Which might take me pretty close to where I ought to be.

ive decided to do the caroline grivan youtube Epic serie for strenght training. Has anyone tried it?
i am still quite poorly but ive decided to start next week. I may do only 2 workouts a week instead of 5 because i want to keep my yoga session and my bootcamp session too.
i have eaten a bit more today in the hope i can recover from this covid thing quicker…. Not sure what to do to help my body fight off the infection… maybe i’ll get some fresh lemon and add some honey with hot water… 😫
