I noticed we were almost full (again!) so took the liberty of starting thread 5 now so I don’t get confused on nightshift and can’t find you all!

@SaintAgatha - thank you! You're absolutely right.

Seahorsesplendour · 16/08/2025 20:15

I like Shotsy too! I’m on the free one @PandaIsMySpiritAnimal what is the extra graph you get out of interest?

PandaIsMySpiritAnimal · 16/08/2025 20:20

@Seahorsesplendour I think it's this one (so you can see the current level in your system/how it builds up & you can move across the chart to see how much you will have at a point in time (for example by your next shot or when it will be completely out of your system

Re Shotsy. If you look on any date in the calendar you can see your level for that day.
And if you click on jabs at the bottom you can see the impact for the week for all previous jabs
No need to pay.

@SussexLass87thanks for sharing that article - very balanced. It is encouraging when a professional recognises the benefits of it - unlike my GP who sent a very nasty text saying that they are not advising me to ise the drug and they will not care for any side effects…

@SaintAgathai really like the idea of meeting the “new me”!

@MyScaredCatGlad you are feeling better, it’s still good to get it checked out. Have a lovely holidays!

im still feeling poorly with sorethroat and a runny nose.. im back in the uk in 4 days so i will wait until then to get a covid test/GP appointment. DP is back already in UK and has the same symptoms which is kind of reassuring in a way.

HKG · 16/08/2025 21:47

Seahorsesplendour · 16/08/2025 19:33

@PandaIsMySpiritAnimal at 5”1 I also have 4-5 st to go!

@HKG I tend to drink 4L of water a day I have a couple of pints of water first thing in morning while I empty dishwasher (I know how to live!! 😅) I find that kicks me off nicely!

I’ve got a L water bottle which I then fill up and normally drink on way to work then will have another 2 through the day. Tend to be bored of it by evening & have sparkling water then. Occasional Pepsi max if nearing jab day & im feeling rebellious 🙈

i don’t count protein but vaguely try & aim for 60g a day. I have a vegan protein shake with a banana in for breakfast or if more hungry have porridge with flax, chia & cacao.

then will try & have chicken or eggs in other meals along with beans, added chia etc If I think I’m low will have a boots vimto protein shake as it’s just like vimto and delicious! Also if having a sandwich have protein thins or protein wraps. But limit those.

loosley speaking aim for 20g per meal

I fear I don’t do that well on my variety of veg so might need to work on that soon! Do take a multivitamin.

hope that helps! If you want links to anything mentioned let me know!

will catch up with rest of thread now!

@Seahorsesplendour thank you for taking the time to write all that out! 4 litres! I feel like k spend my day in the loo already at 3 litres but hey, more steps rights???

that’s a great reminder on the protein. I’m go g to emulate you and hope for a good loss this week!

going to have to step this up somehow as with another 2.5 stone to go, I can’t afford to stay On the jabs that long! Heyho, positive thoughts and downwards we go!

thanks again!

@NotPerfectlyAdverage how strange! I definitely haven’t paid for Shotsy, and in fact I don’t get anything if I click on summary except a prompt to upgrade to Shotsy plus, ie the paid version.
Sorry for raising your hopes. I’m really not very tech savvy and assumed if I can see this for free everyone can.

dc82 · 16/08/2025 22:07

Just caught up on all the chat!

@ElsieJay im so sorry you experienced that! I’m enraged for you. Just so unnecessarily bloody rude. I think @FlorenceNightshade is on the money with writing it down - even if you do nothing with it, writing it out can take some of the power out of the sting (I do it when I can’t sleep at night, I write my worries down).

I hope everyone on here that’s still anxiously awaiting orders gets them very soon. Hopefully the pharmacies will settle out a bit over the next week or so and get caught up. They all certainly won’t have been prepared for Thursday. I’ve not ventured to the other threads, but looks like a lot of people posting today!

@MyScaredCat glad to hear you’re feeling a bit better. Enjoy the hols and hopefully the break helps speed up the recovery for you.

Maybe it's because I have only just set up? Maybe it will appear for me in time

PandaIsMySpiritAnimal · 17/08/2025 06:35

@NotPerfectlyAdverage
I can't see it either but I'm on android, yours looks the same as mine.

Seahorsesplendour · 17/08/2025 07:26

Thant is strange! @NotPerfectlyAdverage @TreesOfGreen99
i can see it on mine & I haven’t paid .

I’m on iPhone wonder if that’s the difference?

also get a chart with est levels on summary

@PandaIsMySpiritAnimal thanks for sharing the chart appreciate it , I can see how it’s much clearer and can see future which is different to the unpaid version .

Think I’ll stick with the free one for now!

hope everyone has a calm & protein filled day!!!

Oh interesting @Seahorsesplendour Im on iPhone as well, perhaps it’s a variance in the app.

notgonnafail · 17/08/2025 07:40

Woohooo!!! SV!!!

I have finally made it into 16st territory!!! It may be b the minutest margin (16st13.8lb) but I am taking it as have not been in that bracket in more than a decade!

PandaIsMySpiritAnimal · 17/08/2025 07:49

@Seahorsesplendour
I don't think there is anything wrong with the free version, and it's only the one chart that I can see you get extra so I agree, it's not a huge value you get.
I just thought I'm doing this only once so might as well go all in 😅

@notgonnafail congratulations! I love the feeling of seeing a new stone bracket, a little win on the long road ahead 🎉

What I love about being on M that I don't have the need/the urge celebrate progress with food. On all my previous diets I would always want to "reward" myself for making progress with a cheat meal...and now it doesn't even cross my mind.

notgonnafail · 17/08/2025 07:52

@PandaIsMySpiritAnimal Absolutely! In fact, each SV and NSV makes me want to get healthier! It made me even more intent on eating a healthy breakfast today and ensuring I got enough protein in!

Seahorsesplendour · 17/08/2025 08:15

@PandaIsMySpiritAnimal don't blame you!! Compared to the other money we’re spending it’s minimal!! 😅

also you’re so right I hadn’t twigged that about not wanting to celebrate with food but yes on my (many) previous weight loss attempts there’d often be a glass of wine or a chocolate bar to celebrate each win!! Hadn’t even crossed my mind this time!

infact as @notgonnafail says fate my sv yesterday gave me renewed focus today so work out done already!

im so grateful I’ve had this opportunity whatever the next stage holds!

Apprenante · 17/08/2025 09:24

@notgonnafail 🌟🌟🌟 for breaking through a stone barrier!

ElsieJay · 17/08/2025 09:57

@notgonnafail - Woo hoo indeed !!!! ☀️☀️

Have a marvellous Sunday , you’ve turned back the clock 🕰️ by ten years - well done you !! 💐

ElsieJay · 17/08/2025 10:06

@PandaIsMySpiritAnimal snd @Seahorsesplendour - very true what you said about edible celebrations and how they were enmeshed in our lives .
”I’ll have a cup of tea and a ( handful of ) biscuit after the ironing “ etc etc etc etc !!
Having fun now thinking of non-food rewards to mark each 7lbs off .

Also, Seahorse, many thanks for posting an outline of your day’s eating , found it very helpful.
And @MyScaredCat , great to hear your feeling better for your time away . Might be worth checking in with the GP when you return, the gallstone flare-ups can be miserable . Have a lovely break in this glorious sunshine !

Shwingbada · 17/08/2025 10:46

@DBatteryBand can really relate to your post, especially that thing of feeling quite good and then seeing the photos and being utterly crushed. I seem to have reverse body dysmorphia, which is great until the camera comes out and I'm faced with the gap between my idea of myself and the reality! Don't lose heart, it sounds like you are doing brilliantly.

I'm struggling with a bit of a return to my old ways of eating/food noise, probably because I left a longer gap between jabs. It has made me more worried about how to manage post-MJ as my bad habits are clearly very engrained and it's so easy to lapse back into them. Even before the price hikes I was thinking that long term micro dosing for maintenance would be too expensive but I don't want to lose all the benefits, not just of the weight loss but the relief of not feeling so greedy/desperate around food.

BerfyTigot · 17/08/2025 10:57

@Shwingbada I'm also struggling with this. I've left it a bit longer between doses as I'm having a tooth extracted tomorrow and I don't want to be having stomach cramps while in the chair. But I'm hungry and tired which always makes me wantto overeat 😭. And I haven't lost any of the nearly 2kg which i gained last week 🤬

Shwingbada · 17/08/2025 11:08

@BerfyTigot Good luck with your dentist appointment. I have also not lost anything for the past 10 days. Need a reset with food/exercise - I am feeling very sluggish. I couldn't even muster the energy to put the clean sheets back on my stripped bed last night so the dog and I slept with the bare duvet...😳😟

SaintAgatha · 17/08/2025 12:04

The positive side effects are the thing that will make me continue irrespective of cost. I will microdose if necessary. I’ve been happier, healthier, and more focused since taking MJ and that’s aside from the 2.5 stone I’ve lost so far. I didn’t jab last night as usual, am going to do it first thing Monday morning to try and stretch out the pen I currently have, but whether it’s psychosomatic or not, I feel quite down today.
