I noticed we were almost full (again!) so took the liberty of starting thread 5 now so I don’t get confused on nightshift and can’t find you all!

Click, not Cluck !!!!! 🐓 🐓🐓🐓🐓 🤣🤣

FlorenceNightshade · 16/08/2025 12:19

@ElsieJay maybe they’ve had complaints about this person before! Could be a total coincidence too I guess! I get it though about not wanted to rock the boat when you’re planning on being a customer for the foreseeable. I often wonder if rude, thoughtless people like that ever have any idea the negative impact they can have on complete strangers with (to them)throwaway comments like that!?! Surely better to spread love and light and good vibes than poison???

I've just tried a new order from Numan - I'll let you know how it goes.
On a slightly different topic, I've been reading an interesting book: Atomic Habits. It's not specifically about weight loss, but I think a lot of it could be applicable. It's a very easy read, nice short chapters. I picked it up half price at WH Smith at an airport.

Just had a nice NSV - I work in the wedding industry and through my job often feature in the wedding photos.

Well today I was happily in them, in a dress that's two dress sizes smaller than normal. God bless Vinted and being able to track down much loved clothes in smaller sizes!

I also didn't overheat or feel too self conscious when I was speaking to all the guests.

Happy Saturday all. Off to Croatia tomorrow with DH and the goblins. I'm hoping that the Mediterranean diet out there will be kind to the scales?! We're self catering which will (hopefully!) help!

I’m another one just going into the 14s after starting in the 17s (although I was 17-). I’m just over two stones down, not near three, unfortunately, but I started late May. It’s levellled off a bit at the moment, which is annoying as I can’t afford plateauing with the new prices!

My IQ DR pen came today, which was ordered Thursday just before the panic started. Haven’t had any update on the pending order for Chemist4U’s bundle. They’ve happily taken the £500 immediately, which is ironic. I don’t expect I’ll hear anything over the weekend now. Just really crossing fingers. It’s about the only way I can keep going. I will definitely be eking the pens out a bit. I went over by a day last week without any problems- might do it again this week! Jab every 8 days…

FlorenceNightshade · 16/08/2025 16:18

@SussexLass87 that is amazing well done you!!! I hope you have a wonderful holiday!

I threw out some old shapewear type underwear that is now too small today - that felt pretty good! Keep on keeping girls we are doing great 😊

Deleted as posted twice. Once was boring enough!

ElsieJay · 16/08/2025 17:08

@SussexLass87 - lovely NSV , and what a great confidence boost just before your holiday ! Hope you and your family have the very best time 🏖️ 🍷 ☀️.

@Gingercar - not boring at all! Waiting to hear if my order from Asda has been approved, though they’ve been taking a wee bit longer recently so not panicking yet. The payment shows in my banking account app as “pending”, which I’m hoping is a good sign 🤞.

SaintAgatha · 16/08/2025 17:25

Luckily I’m not supposed to hear from my supplier until next week, but I’ve just been on Monj and it looks like it’s OOS across all pens with them. I’ve got a fresh pen that I was meant to start tonight, but am going to push it until Monday. Am hoping the start of the week will bring a bit more clarity and the stockpiling will slow down.

NotPerfectlyAdverage · 16/08/2025 17:39

After stressing out for the last wo days, I decided to be constructive and downloaded Shotsy. I'm loosing an adverage of 0.8lbs a week! It will take a year to get into a healthy bmi at this rate. Also I started at 5ft 4in 15stone 2lbs. I thought 12.7 was my upper healthy bmi... wrong! It's 10,5

Arrggghh!!!

Mind you I did go on holiday and put on 9lb which I have lost again in three weeks.

I need to get my adverage weekly loss up

FlorenceNightshade · 16/08/2025 17:44

May I ask @NotPerfectlyAdverage if you dont mind, is shotsy free and can you “backdate” your jabs or is it only used for new ones?

I know I could probably google this but I wanted to ask a human!

OP posts:
HKG · 16/08/2025 17:51

@FlorenceNightshade I downloaded it yesterday after recommendations from here. There is a free version which you can see your charts and weight loss progress but you have to get the paid version if you want to see the levels in your system if that makes sense.

And you can back date all weigh ins and shots on the free version. I did and it’s very satisfying looking!

NotPerfectlyAdverage · 16/08/2025 17:53

Yes I have just downloaded all my shots and weights onto in now.

I'm going to pay much attention from now on. Maybe that's one positive. Also I just record my weight but taking photos of my feet on the scales. My ankles look slimmer if nothing else 😂

FlorenceNightshade · 16/08/2025 17:56

Thanks @HKG and @NotPerfectlyAdverage top humans!!

Evening all.
ive still got some pains, but not like they were Thursday. I have said that if im not feeling better by Tuesday I’ll phone GP. We’re going away tomorrow for a couple of days.
im really hoping its not anything that will stop me jabbing.
I have taken one 5mg dose from a new pen. Now considering doing 2.5 going forward which will give me 8 more weeks. I know that’s not the recommended time frame, but I think by then I’d be at my target and happy to stop. I reckon another stone and I’ll be done. Not ordering another pen as I wasn’t happy to stay on MJ forever and always planned to stop once I was happy.
i started at 14 stone 12 on 1st May and was 12 stone 3 on Wednesday. I’m thinking 11/11.5 stone and I’ll be done

DBatteryBand · 16/08/2025 18:18

Hope everyone is doing ok after a turbulent few days. I have lost 3lbs this week, so I am 1 lb short of losing 3 stone since 11th May. I was really happy with this until we had a day out today and I saw the photos. I know I still have a long way to go, but there is still a really, really fat woman with bad hair in all the pics. I was wearing a new top and feeling pretty good, but the photos just showed a corpulent, middle-aged lardy lump. I had a little cry about it.

Never mind. I shall have a glass of wine cup of mint tea and get over it. Onwards and downwards!

HKG · 16/08/2025 18:54

Just had a quick gander over on the price increase thread - it is wild out there! Really high emotions and harsh words found about. So super grateful for this little group!

(retreating back here never to venture out again) 🤐

SussexLass87 · 16/08/2025 18:58

Thanks for the kind words you wonderful bunch! ❤️

Very glad for the humour, support and clear heads on this thread. Haven't braved the price threads and think best not to.

SaintAgatha · 16/08/2025 19:08

@DBatteryBand Oh I sympathise entirely. I was battered by a photograph a school mum pal took of me a few weeks ago. I was feeling pretty good on the day but just looked shit and fat in it.

I do have to frequently remind myself that I won’t look like I did at 30 when I was slimmer! But I will look a lot better if I keep going - and I’m excited to meet that version of me.

Onwards and downwards!

SaintAgatha · 16/08/2025 19:09

@HKG @SussexLass87 I’ve been on one or two of those threads and it’s how I imagine the last helicopter out of Vietnam must’ve felt like. 😉

Exactly this! ‘Take cover!!!!’

FlorenceNightshade · 16/08/2025 19:31

Well not going to lie that was an enjoyable 20 mins or so I had myself there inputting all my Data into the Shotsy App and then admiring the pretty charts it created!!

My side effects definitely seem to coincide with my levels being the highest they had ever been! Think it might be a useful tool for maintenance, was planning on titrating slowly or microdosing for as long as I needed but given the potential cost increases this may be a good way to work out what I need!

Thanks to all for the app suggestion, you get a weeks free trial before payment taken then either £9.99 per month or £29.99 per year. More money but potentially very useful info

@PandaIsMySpiritAnimal at 5”1 I also have 4-5 st to go!

@HKG I tend to drink 4L of water a day I have a couple of pints of water first thing in morning while I empty dishwasher (I know how to live!! 😅) I find that kicks me off nicely!

I’ve got a L water bottle which I then fill up and normally drink on way to work then will have another 2 through the day. Tend to be bored of it by evening & have sparkling water then. Occasional Pepsi max if nearing jab day & im feeling rebellious 🙈

i don’t count protein but vaguely try & aim for 60g a day. I have a vegan protein shake with a banana in for breakfast or if more hungry have porridge with flax, chia & cacao.

then will try & have chicken or eggs in other meals along with beans, added chia etc If I think I’m low will have a boots vimto protein shake as it’s just like vimto and delicious! Also if having a sandwich have protein thins or protein wraps. But limit those.

loosley speaking aim for 20g per meal

I fear I don’t do that well on my variety of veg so might need to work on that soon! Do take a multivitamin.

hope that helps! If you want links to anything mentioned let me know!

will catch up with rest of thread now!

PandaIsMySpiritAnimal · 16/08/2025 19:42

@FlorenceNightshade i love shotsy. Love looking at the progress, especially now there is a couple of months of data inputted.

I knew I'd be on M around 1 year so I paid for the yearly subscription. It's like 2.5 a month so thought it was worth it (even though it's literally one extra graph you get for the full version)
