I’m fairly lucky in that I have to cook for the DC, so I have that structure to my day. Otherwise I’d probably have to schedule reminders, too! I’ve also lost that feeling of craving lovely fresh salads, I want to get back to enjoying them.

Same here! I was craving fresh salads and that's disappeared too - which was a shame as I was really enjoying that feeling.

I too have to cook for DC (9 & 11) yet somehow doesn't transfer into eating for myself. Which is bonkers! 😅

@DidILeaveTheGasOn re fancypants scales. I've got these ones which give all the various readings of visceral fat, muscle mass, bmi etc etc. I love them (except when they ask me if I'm someone new when I return from a holiday and I've put on 4lbs!) 🤣🤣

I have renpho scales too and think they're really good. You can set different profiles too, if there's anyone else in your house using them. Apparently a lot of the data should be taken with a pinch of salt though - all smart scales just work off algorithms.

Looks like Renpho are the way to go! Ordering them now.

Just tried on that waterproof coat I ordered a while ago that fits 14-16 - and it fits with room to spare. Zipped up! I'm ready for the school run, at least! I went months without a coat that fit last year and ended up buying a size 20 coat when it got really cold and I couldn't put it off anymore. It was tight when I did it up and it made me look like a rectangular block with my little head sticking out the top.

Must be a day for it @DidILeaveTheGasOn! I’ve rediscovered a bright yellow Regatta waterproof coat that I had while at Uni that was a size 16 and never fitted well. Couldn’t zip it up! I held onto it for years and today Ive had it on zipped up and hood up!

Nothing much to report from me, just keeping on keeping on. We’ve booked two weeks away in September, mulling over the pros and cons of taking the pen, as will be in the same accommodation for the duration 🤔.

It's funny what things we've all been missing out on...hurray for the coat successes! Finding old clothes that now fit is even better than buying new ones I think...so happy for you all!

Talking of scales, i started weighing myself on our old faithful scales. Then we moved into my late dad’s house next door and his scales are still in the bathroom. They weigh in kg not lbs, which is good as if I peek, which I invariably do, I’m not always sure how much has changed, and they’re a bit up and down. So for my official weight I nip next door and do it there. Today I finally brought the scales round here. But what if they are different on these floors??!! I’m all nervous!

@Gingercar because I am mildly unhinged whenever I move my scales or change the battery I put things I know the weight of (dumbbell, kettlebell, new bag of pasta/rice) on to check them. Then I get on holding one of them and again without to test it. Utterly batshit but gives me piece of mind 🙈

The difference in weighing has put me off ordering new scales, what if they say a different number?! What if I break them with my own hands again? I felt like that guy that turned everything he touched into skittles.

Well moving the scales didn’t jinx me. Another two pounds off, making exactly two stones off since May 20th (10 weeks?). I will try to get measurements again later. Feeling happy.

12 week results:
SW 102.2kg
CW 90.1kg
GW 79 kg
12kg lost!!
11kg to go so I'm over halfway to my goal 🥳 Can barely believe it.

And no-one has noticed!! Seeing friends in the next couple of weeks, so hopefully might get some feedback 😁

Ive found that when I weigh on jab day, Friday, I've often only lost 0.5kg but when I weigh on a Sunday I'm down by 1kg. - I suspect it has to do with eating more regularly and drinking a lot more water at weekend. Friday I was 95.2 Sunday I was 94 dead on!

We're in the middle of renovating 2 new (very told Tudor) buildings to move our company into and the stress levels and routine are right out the window. I'm between 2 building sites and my actual office, work is wherever there's a flat spot to put my laptop space and it's starting to takes its effect on everything from eating to gym time to down time. We're off to America in 10 days and I'm counting down the days to a cabin in the woods and someone else thinking about who eats what, when and how it's cooked!

I always weigh more the day after I swim. No idea why. 🤷♀️
