Weighed in today.

SW: 13:7
CW: 9:4

That was my initial target weight, which I never thought I would reach. Now I want to get to 9 stone exactly and see if that is a feasible maintenance weight for me, right in the middle of a healthy BMI.

I am away this weekend with DS, and I didn’t inject last night as usual. I am leaving it until Monday night just to see how it feels to have less in my system.

I hope all you losers have a great weekend.

DGonMJ · 08/08/2025 08:03

Congrats on reaching your initial target @Zempy 🏅 what dose are you on? And enjoy your weekend with DS!

Zempy · 08/08/2025 08:07

I’m on 10mg now. It still gives me a little dizziness every now and then, but no nausea. It’s definitely manageable.

DS is 25 and incredibly laid back. It’s like going on vacation with an emotional support animal really. We are off to Sweden, very excited! I have a lot of Scandinavian genes according to Ancestry DNA, so I am hoping to feel very at home.

PenelopePerseveres · 08/08/2025 08:08

Well done @Zempy 💃🎉🥳. Fabulous news, enjoy your weekend away.

My weekend away isn’t happening, it was very last minute and we couldn’t quite get the accommodation we wanted, we’ll do it on September instead.

Still 13st 9lb this morning which is a BMI of 30 down from 36. Hopefully I’ll be out of the obese BMI category next weekend. 2st 10.5 lb lost.

olivietolivie · 08/08/2025 08:24

I started on 1 January at 16 stone 0 and i am currently 12 stone 5. I am a mere whisker away from an overweight BMI. I have four jabs left in my 10mg pen (inc golden dose) and then I’m thinking about stopping cold turkey. Has anybody got any experience of this? I am starting to find the cost too much even with changing providers every month and taking the golden dose. I am also a secret jabber and would quite like to get rid of my secret 🫣

I was 11 stone a few years ago and exercised a lot and felt great so my logic is that if I get down to 12 stone or less on this pen I can do the last stone on my own. However, now that I’ve been doing MJ I can see that really I should be aiming for a healthy BMI and probably my goal weight should actually be 9.5 stone which doesn’t feel achievable without MJ. But I really need to divert the money I’ve been spending on MJ into other things. I’m starting to worry it will eat into next year’s holiday fund.

MJalltheway · 08/08/2025 08:38

Weigh in today

SW 101kg
CW 77.7kg
GW 70kg

Loss this week 1.1kg. But last week's weigh in was higher than I'd expect so I think I weighed heavy last week rather than having a huge loss this week - the average of the 2 weeks is bang on for my normal rate. Happy scale has me reaching goal weight in about 10 weeks - exciting!

congrats on reaching initial goal @zempy and enjoy your weekend away!
@olivietolivie i have to admit to being slightly terrified of what will happen when I stop so I'm planning a long slow taper down I think, I'd be too nervous to stop cold turkey. I'm a secret jabber too (apart from DH) but I'm very happy with that, it doesn't bother me at all.

Jins · 08/08/2025 08:42

Nice work losers! I’m also aiming for 9 stone @Zempy but ideally would like to be 8st 10 ish.

So on to weigh in results. No clue which week it is as it doesn’t coincide with jabs any more but I started on January 10th at 11st 5 and a BMI of 28.2. Today I’m 9 st 0.8 which is a loss of a massive 0.2lbs this week.

I’ve fluctuated between 9 st 0.6 and 9st 1.2 so the downward trend is still there. It’s just so sloooow. I’ve been within a pound or so of goal for the last 6 weeks 🤣. I’m actually quite happy at this weight but I would love to hit my goal weight so I can mentally tick it off.

I think 9 stone +/-2lbs or between 56 and 58kg is going to be where I try to maintain. I’m on the conti maintenance plan at Oushk so no problems there

HeidiNotSoHeavy · 08/08/2025 08:53

Have fun in Sweden, @Zempy - where are you going, Stockholm?

the stubborn kilo is still stuck, but I'm sure it's just a temporary setback. Happy to report that loose skin has been improving a lot recently. 58.4 kilos and like you @Jins , I'd like to be between 56-58. My main thing will be some body recomposition now, arms are great but glutes are flatter than I would ideally like.

I am not planning to come off this drug any time soon. Will go down with dose, currently doing 3.75 and would ideally want to maintain on 2,5 at least for a while. There are other improvements I've noticed and pretty sure they are not all just weight loss related, but rather due to anti-inflammatory properties of the drug.

olivietolivie · 08/08/2025 08:55

@MJallthewayme too! Although to be honest when I first started the injections I thought I’d only buy 2 or 3 pens to kick start a diet so I’m delighted I managed to find the funds to carry on as long as I have.

Thelittlestranger · 08/08/2025 09:08

@Zempy congratulations!

@olivietolivie I've got this weird hunch that is not based on any scientific facts whatsoever, that if I titrate down slowly and come off it, then if I need to get back on it again it will still have a good effect at a lower dose. But if I stopped without doing it, a lower dose wouldn't be as effective. No idea why I think that, but it's stuck in my brain. I guess it's your decision where you want to spend your money - but to add, I'm 1 stone down from my original target and I'm so pleased I went further before moving to maintenance.

Well done on your loss @olivietolivie I’m tapering down. Highest was 5mg, did a month on the same dose once I hit goal, then a month on 4mg, now I’m into 3 weeks on 3.33mg. I may stay on this till end of Aug to see me through my holiday, then try 2.75mg in September. A very slow titrate down.
I’m trying to get used to a full hormonal cycle on each dose so I can see how I feel through the month rather than panicking that I’m too hungry, losing/gaining too much.

This last cycle I went from a low of 58.8kg to a high of 59.7kg and now I’m back to 58.9kg today. So a fluctuation of 1kg through the month. Plus really having to pay attention to what I eat on the hungry days, to make sure I’m filling up on protein and good fats.

myladyjane · 08/08/2025 09:10

Oh a gain! My very first one - how very dare it!!!!!!!! I am hoping this is down to some not great carby eating and not drinking enough whilst camping and will disappear v quickly.

i have got a bit stuck over the last few weeks with losses around the lb mark or just under - probably only lost 4lb in the last month if that. My slight concern is that I don’t eat loads already and it can get tough to get good nutrition in but I’m still 10lb away from a bmi of under 30 so it’s not like I don’t have a chunk to get rid of still.

ah well, I’ll just keep on. Did bonus dose yesterday and did about 8.25 so we’ll see how that works.

have a lovely time @Zempyand well done on other losses and nsv.

I read the thing on the bbc yesterday re the tablet. In my head I think that’s the maintenance solution I am the most interested in albeit some time in the future. I saw it’s not as effective for weight loss as mj but if you are maintaining that’s less of an issue isn’t it. Interesting times ahead.

Jins · 08/08/2025 09:19

The tablet is something I’m very interested in and I think it’s an ideal maintenance solution. However I’m continuing with MJ for the additional anti inflammatory benefits so I’d have to be convinced that the tablets would do the same thing before switching.

Zempy · 08/08/2025 09:27

@meatyryvita. How do I feel? Interesting question. Quite proud of myself. Scared of putting it all back on.

I caught sight of myself in a TEAMS meeting yesterday and I was shocked at how small I looked. My shoulders seemed so close to my head! I still wear mostly size 12 tops as I have 32G boobs to accommodate. I definitely feel more confident.

Yes @HeidiNotSoHeavy we are heading to Gamla Stan in Stockholm and will probably go to Sodermalm as well. DS is a proper London hipster and will fit right in there. I’m really looking forward to this break, more than others I have taken this year.

HeidiNotSoHeavy · 08/08/2025 10:05

I love Stockholm, hope the weather is nice as well!
Swedish food has really impressed me in more recent years. 20 years ago, it was boring and bland as hell, but nowadays all the fusion new nordic cooking is amazing.

discov · 08/08/2025 13:29

I will be tapering too. I think stopping cold turkey is a bit risky but equally I understand the cost implications as it’s a big chunk of money every month.

Me and dd have been to a museum this morning with lots of interactive exhibits (think cameras and mirrors etc!) and I am pleased to report that I look pretty good clothed from all angles. But I desperately need new bras! I am still wearing some stretchy M&S crop top type bras from almost 3.5 stone ago and they so absolutely nothing for me. I saw myself from a certain angle and they looked flat as a pancake. I did Boob or Bust and came out as a 28G which is annoying as I don’t want to faff about ordering online, I want to just go into a shop and buy bras. I don’t have a Bravissimo shop easily accessible to me either…

HeidiNotSoHeavy · 08/08/2025 13:42

Bras are a problem - boobs are so empty that yes any non wired crop tops make me look flat, I really need some underwire and padding for them to look decent in work clothes. But my ribcage is now so bony that the underwire hurts my breastbone. A problem I've never had before. (I also should be 28 back, but I find that 30 in most brands is fine, as I don't need that much support from the underband any more)

Am really enjoying being able to wear built in bra tops.

Bra shopping is the worst!!

My friend recommended the Uniqlo vest tops with built in bra recently. There’s a Uniqlo opening near me soon, so I’ll have to check them out. I might just end up going to the big M&S close by and trying some different sizes on as they have a big selection. I think I’d be ok with a 30 band too so will see how I get on. Anything is better than what I’m wearing at the minute!!

PenelopePerseveres · 08/08/2025 14:44

Wow, have a fab time @Zempy, I love Stockholm too. Are you into museums? The Nordiska is probably one of my favourite museums ever.

PenelopePerseveres · 08/08/2025 18:08

My jeans arrived today. One pair from Tu and one from Autograph, both black straight leg. The Autograph fit me better (Tu are bigger) and are a nice cut/very black. I can wear them with a blazer on my casual site days at work so I’ll keep them. Hopefully I’ll move down again by October. 🤞

Really feels like progress buying a size 16 jeans that fit perfectly.

PenelopePerseveres · 09/08/2025 08:24

Morning everyone. Lovely day here. Nothing planned apart from taking DC2 driving (test prep). We’re going into a local town with a dept store and wonderful bra fitting. I might make an appointment with an aim of buying one nude bra for now on the way down.

Well, I know it’s only one wee away from being obese 🤣, but I’ve hit a BMI of 29.9 this morning 😍. I was going to move my jab forward a day but am still not very hungry so I will leave it until tomorrow.

Woohoo @PenelopePerseveres that’s a win, congrats on the new BMI category! Enjoy your weekend, and get the bra. Can always sell it on Vinted (I’ve sold 4 now).

Jins · 09/08/2025 08:35

Morning all! Festival day for me but apparently we’re visiting MIL on the way there so that’s put a downer on my morning.

Dreadful day for food yesterday. I was just about ready for lunch then the garage called for me to collect DS1s old car (DS2 is having it) which took so much time that I missed my eating slot. We were invited to the opening of a local venue at 5 but the only gluten free offering was chips with the most glorious aioli. When I got home at 8 I’d gone past eating so had a few crackers and a banana. Going to weigh shortly - bet I’ve gained 🤣

Today will be mixed food wise as well. I think we’re grabbing lunch somewhere before we get wristbands etc and I’ve got a load of nutty, cereal things in my bag. Next jab due Sunday, thought about doing it this morning but decided against it.

Have a great weekend you fabulous bunch of losers!!!!!

Zempy · 09/08/2025 08:39

Congratulations @PenelopePerseveres I remember celebrating being overweight!!

I have sold a few bras on Vinted. They sell really easily and hold their value well. Check out what’s available similar to what you are selling before setting the price, don’t just go with Vinted recommendation.
