Morning losers!
@Zempy good going on the drinks and cheesecake! Hope a lie in and a big pint of water help you feel better ❤️🩹
@myladyjane your post reads as my own stream of consciousness, especially on the ‘how can I listen to this podcast if I have to make conversation?’ 😂
Jab day stats:
Jab#30 • wk 10 of maintenance • 3.33mg
SW 79.6kg • GW 62.4kg • CW 59.7kg
Gain 0.3kg since last Sunday, which I’m happy with.
This week has been my second on the lower dose of 3.33mg and I’m noticing the effect of the levels of MJ in my body dropping. When I dropped from 5mg to 4mg the reduction was really positive - better sleep, brighter eyes, less dry mouth, mood lifted. However I was still losing weight and struggling to eat enough to maintain.
As mentioned this last week I’ve noticed:
- More hunger
- Craving a second/third cup of coffee
- More likely to reach into the cupboard and have a handful of tortilla chips while waiting for dinner to cook
- My impulse control is down - I’ve been online shopping more. Had to return the over priced hiking boots as they didn’t fit (will now shop for a cheaper pair).
- More doomscrolling on Instagram (went to bed early on Friday and just doomscrolled for 2 hours).
- More drive at work - chasing the dopamine high I get answering emails and ticking off my to do list.
So, some of annoying habits creeping back but I’m not putting on weight. I do need to calm down on my spending, and doomscrolling - so I think I need to find other ways to get those pops of joy, as it’ll be better for my mental health. I have a pile of books by my bed that I need to get into, I’m sure once I start that it can be my new obsession.
The plan is to eventually get down to 2.5mg or lower so I can buy cheaper pens. Go back to being me, but keep off the inflammation, keep sugars stable and maintain the ability to burn fat.
DH now interested. His BMI is 29, but he has asthma, is struggling to exercise and is constantly getting joint pain. We did the questionnaire with Voy and he qualifies. He’s very very needle-phobic, but I think he’s reached the point where he’s seen the huge benefits I’ve gained and knows that it could be so good for his health.
