Welcome @OvertiredandConfused you are doing brilliantly by the sound of things. I found my bladder adjusted. But I have been dieting for decades so I guess that's not a fair comparison to make on you. Have you considered using a shewee or similar? If you have a skirt on they are quite discreet. I have used them for long car journeys and when camping. Forgive me if that is not a physical possibility for you, but it's important we keep hydrated. Either way, have an amazing holiday and don't worry about it too much, you can readjust when you get home if needed be.

FatsiaJaponicaInTheGarden · 06/07/2025 09:24

Hi @OvertiredandConfused 👋. I started a week before you and am very similar in terms of starting weight and current weight! Good luck with the holiday - you've come such a long way already at over 4stone down - I hope you have an amazing time ❤️.

Birthday tea with DM done. I'm feeling a bit strange today like I'm slightly hungover but without the fun of the drunken party the night before.

I think this is because of a number of things:

  • mounjaro gone up to 12.5
  • visiting DM (she has dementia so visits are always stressful)
  • not enough fluids yesterday (tricky to keep on top of as a visitor in DM's care home)
  • 'wrong' food. The only food I had yesterday was a couple of sausage rolls & finger sandwiches.

On the plus side, I weighed myself this morning and was 2kg down. I don't think it is 'real' but it was good today see a new lower weight category (16 stone 13lbs) if only temporarily.

LucyBnotG · 06/07/2025 10:30

@Blondeshavemorefun @PinkArt I had forgotten about this list! When I last saw it, I had lost a car tyre. Now I've lost a new born calf. I'm looking forward to losing a 2 month old horse. Wow that sounds a lot when you think about it.

SilenceInside · 06/07/2025 11:24

I weighed this morning (I tend to weigh every day, but just count my weigh in day), and I was 82.4kg which is a BMI of 29.9. And 12st 13.7lbs. So today at least I am Not Obese. First time in probably 20 years.

I hope it sticks till my weigh in on Friday!

Amazing landmark. Well done you 💯 😀

Hello and welcome @OvertiredandConfused

I spoke to my doctor about my bladder and she started me on mirabegron tablets, which really calmed it down.
I don't know your age (I'm 69 as of yesterday) or if that's an option for you.

You've done very well on the weightloss.

Congratulations @SilenceInside, fabulous work!

Does anyone have experience of switching suppliers and how long you can leave between doses?

I’m currently on a subscription service so the pens arrive after 4 doses have been used but due to using the fifth doses I seem to have the next one coming sooner and sooner before I need it.

i was planning to switch supplier for my next pen to get it cheaper and also give me that time back to see what dose I want. Will they bat an eyelid if it’s been 7/8 weeks since the last pen order date which i assume I will have to show them?

Not sure if I am overthinking this!

TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne · 06/07/2025 12:27

@ConfusedMiddleAger83
I'd cancel the direct debit and the subscription, so you don't keep getting pens you don't need yet.

Just be honest with the new supplier. Tell them you've got one more pen than you need, but show them a screenshot of the latest pen with the dose and date shown.

I don't think you'll have a problem. Just make it clear that you have taken a dose within the last couple of days.

You could try Medino. In the past, I've had pens from various places, but have now stuck with Medino for ages. That's because you can phone up and talk to the pharmacist directly. His name is Alessandro and he's very helpful. If you want a discount code, send me a PM.

I stuck with one supplier for two years just about, and moved to Oushk a couple of months ago ready for maintenance. They needed a prescription to be dated within a month of joining. I couldn't be doing with swapping all the time I'm too anxious. Now the restrictions are tighter I would be fretting the whole time.

I agree with this.
I think once you find a supplier you're happy with, it's easier.

I don't like the subscription services.
I prefer to order my pens myself. I just put a note on my phone, and Medino also sends me a reminder email.

Many happy returns for yesterday 🎂🎉

Thank you!
I had a lovely day and steak and chips for dinner. Two of our DC came round and we played Logo.

I won, three times in a row.

That sounds like the perfect day. Of course you had to win on your birthday, its the law 🤣

Billybingbong · 06/07/2025 13:32

Im currently on my third supplier. The first two, I made use of the new user discounts, but as I've moved up, I changed to Medicine Marketplace, who are really well priced for the higher doses. Their customer service has been really good so far too, so I"ll probably end up sticking with them now. They allow up to 7 weeks between ordering, or longer if you can explain the gap

I'd slowly bridge the gap.
Eg after 5th week order the next pen maybe on a Friday or so let them take their time approving it, so you get it the next week.

Also stick to one supplier for less questions with when you ordered last. I'd recommend IQ doctor, oushk, medicine marketplace and pill sorted. Their customer service has been good and will hopefully support what you need.

ConfusedMiddleAger83 · 06/07/2025 15:12

Thanks for the tips everyone, I’ll try bridging the gap a little as suggested.

I also can be bothered with the faff of changing much, I chose Voy as I wanted the extra support to start with but am not getting much out of it now and can definitely go for a cheaper option which is needed when I may well be on this for a year or more. Will have a look at one of the ones suggested.

Belated Happy Birthday @TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne !

I did it! Climbed Brown Willy on Bodmin moor, all 1378 ft, you have to go up and over Rough tor to get to Brown Willy so in essence I’ve climbed 3 tors today as we had to go back via Rough tor, everything aches but I have such a sense of achievement, and the wind was unreal! 1st photo is Rough tor, 2nd is Brown Willy and 3rd is the view from the top.

Hello @OvertiredandConfused, I tend to do the same and never take in enough fluids when out and about, but do try and make up for it when back home. Hope you have a lovely time.

@SilenceInside wow! I feel like we should be having a party for you - amazing!

@ConfusedMiddleAger83 i tend to order every 4 weeks and end up with extra pens which I like having, it’s comforting to know I have back ups if there is a shortage (as there is now with 12.5 and 15mg with some suppliers) I have left it 6 weeks between orders before without any issue. You can explain the gap, you’ve been poorly, didn’t take on holiday ect…

many happy returns for yesterday @TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne, glad you had a lovely day 💐

Yay to the 16s @GnomeDePlume, sorry to hear you’re feeling out of sorts

OvertiredandConfused · 06/07/2025 17:49

Thank you.

I’m already on mirabegron - I have MS which makes the bladder issues worse.I’ll manage somehow! Hope it helps you - it made a real difference to me in managing day today before I started adding so much extra water to my diet

We got scales today that can weigh me. I’m down to 25st8lb. I’ve not been this weight for 5 years, and I’ve lost a stone in a month.

can’t quite believe it. I know I’ve got good appetite suppression and I’m not eating a lot but I didn’t expect this much of a loss. I’m still only on 2.5mg!

Going to have a glass of wine to celebrate - that’s the thing I’m missing the most!!

TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne · 06/07/2025 21:46
