Sorry, another long message from me. I just wanted to say thanks to everyone that gave me ideas of where to buy workout clothing. I think @Iwouldratherbesinging @PinkArt @katscamel @PearlsPearl @Janie934 @TheBeesTrees Sorry if I missed anyone.
I ended up getting a few cropped workout leggings from Matalan, Sainsbury's, Amazon and Next. I wanted multiple pairs because I've committed to three times a week and I don't want to have to wash and wear. I also thought that maybe I would end up preferring one brand more than the other, so if that happens at least I have other options. I decided to stick to workout leggings in case the everyday ones were see through when bending over or squatting.
It's been years since I bought proper clothes in a shop (not just joggers and t-shirts online) that I had no idea that these places sold plus sized clothes - they never used to.
Tops were more of a struggle because I'm currently two sizes smaller on my top than my bottom, and I'm really fussy about necklines, sleeves, polyester and belly coverage. Amazon ended up being the best bet with those.
I got two high impact sports bras from M&S and one by Elomi from Next. I was between band sizes so I opted for the tighter one knowing that soon I'll have lost more weight and they will be more comfortable - I've lost most of my weight so far from the top of my belly.
Last thing was trainers, and I decided to splash out on some Nike ones. My feet should be the only thing that stay the same size so I was happy to spend a bit more on those.
All in, excluding the trainers, I've spent about £200. Not cheap, and I'll have to make some sacrifices to afford the personal training, but it's an investment I'm willing to make to reach my goal.
