I ate about 40 mins ago and now my stomach is rumbling !?

NeedyTiger · 29/06/2025 21:49

Someone mentions about spotting before their cycle a few pages ago , I'm day 11 of spotting now and I have had 5 doses , I did have a womb surgery a month ago so I put it down to that so it's interesting that others are having spotting too , I'm over my cycle due date now too so I have no idea what's going on or weather it's down to the surgery itself or the mounjaro it will be interesting to see if it happens with others .

I’ll only be starting week 3 on Wednesday as today is W2D5 for me - I will see how it goes but I think I’m going to stay at 2.5mg as I don’t want to incur any side effects during a busy period for me including holidays and birthdays.

FoxRedPuppy · 29/06/2025 21:49

@Catladyof7 i think under 1000 calories doesn’t sound like enough. Every body is different and some people don’t lose much or anything on 2.5mg. Some go all the way up to 12.5 and some stay in 2.5mg.

It isn’t just about calories either, but about high protein. I think that makes a difference to weight loss.

FoxRedPuppy · 29/06/2025 21:53

I’m losing too fast and really struggling to get my calories in. I should be having 1200-1400 a day. But most days only around 900-1000. I’m just not hungry enough!

I'm forcing a protein shake down me now to try and up it. And I had an Ikea hotdog today and a magnum!

I have protein every day , Roast beef ( lean ), chicken breast ( no skin ), a small amount of cheese and had a boiled egg every day with my salad . I made it up to 1000 calories a day . Should i eat more ?

I ask about the 5 mg pen , which will be my next dose in two weeks .
Wanted to know if i went up to 3.75 for the first two weeks , would the pen lock after doing the next two at 5mg. ? Thanks

PuppyHerder · 29/06/2025 22:06

Evening everyone
4th jab and weigh-in tomorrow.
NSV - managed the Costco shop without buying crap! Feeling very proud of myself that the Cheetos stayed out of the trolley!

Feeling bunged up - my usual once a day toilet routine is now down to every three or four days. I'm not comfortable and trying to work out if I need to take something?

FoxRedPuppy · 29/06/2025 22:07

A chicken breast has about 15-20g of protein. I’m aiming for 120g protein a day. So lean meat, egg, Greek yoghurt, cottage cheese, beans and pulses. I’m adding protein shakes in too to help increase, but my aim is to eventually do it all from real food.

Im only hitting about 70-90g a day at the moment, but hoping I can edge that up.

How are people losing so much ?
Week 2 this week , day 8. Stuck to 1000 and under calories and dont feel like i have lost much if anything at all.
Is it exercise thats helping?
I dont go anywhere but do a lot in the house and garden ( 68 years old)
Plus all the weeing and going up and down stairs hundred times a day and night
Just done my second jab a couple of hours ago .
Feel a bit despondent

If you aren't weighing yourself (i think i read before you dont have scales), it'll take longer to see the difference physically. Thats why as horrid as scales are, they can be pretty useful to see the small day to day progress.

Hope you start feeling better soon

Completely agree, I’ve lost a stone and wouldn’t have a clue without scales, I notice my jawline slightly but apart from that haven’t noticed as none of my clothes are fitted/ tight

Unfortunately i dont like half of that , if i had to eat cottage cheese or yogurt i would definitely be sick

I havent seen any decent scales that people havent complained about being inaccurate . Thats why i havent bought any . I cant afford an expensive scales and even those i have seen have bad reviews .

Catladyof7 · 29/06/2025 22:36

I do have clothes i cant get into . Trousers
Size 16 i cant get over my bum , so thats what i was trying to do.
Go down in sizes

Is anyone else on the second pen?

Yes, first jab out of it on Saturday night

Most scales are roughly right. They’ll give you an idea of how you’re doing even if they’re not absolutely accurate. You can get scales for £15-20.

Ive lost over a stone and haven’t had to swap any clothes for smaller ones yet, plus nobody else has noticed. I think scales are good or you have no idea how well you’re doing. I certainly wouldn’t.

Are you using the Voy app or website (I think I’ve asked you this before but you’ve not responded)? They have a great food diary feature that logs what you’re eating and how much protein you’ve had/should be having. Voy gives you so much more than just a pen - you’re paying a lot for it, why not make the most of it..

I have Renpho scales and find them really good.

I had an issue trying to use the app but i have it sorted now.
Password problem as i used one that my ipad recommended on the normal website then when i tried to use the app , i didn't have the password !
Thanks

Again, I’ve mentioned a couple of times previously, Voy has an AI chat feature called Joy which will suggest ideas to increase your protein and uses foods that you tell it that you like. It will plan menus, treats, recipes, shopping lists etc. it’s so easy and so useful.

Hey all. W4D6 for me and had to have my next jab 1 day early tonight. I'm away with my niece tomorrow night for a concert, wouldn't have access to a fridge and she's only 8 and nosey, so didn't want to do it then.

Extracted my golden dose, 0.6ml from 2.5mg pen so usual dose (I think). Was pretty straightforward tbf. Hoping all continues to be well for a drive from Glasgow-Manchester tomorrow.

SW 18st 7lbs
CW 17st 8lbs
GW 14st (initially).

1 more lb needed for my first stone on MJ. (Overall 18.5lbs so far). Noticed it in my jeans today for sure!

ThisNeedsToWork · 30/06/2025 00:08

Thanks for the support. I haven’t taken my 4th jab and I managed to eat more today: Yoghurt, nuts, some brie and crackers and some breaded chicken.
My second jab is already in the fridge. I ordered 5mg despite feeling too much suppression on 2.5mg. Partly because it was the same price so I thought i could continue on 2.5 but had potential there to move to 3.75 if anything changed over the next couple of weeks. I think I’m going to just miss this week if I can and do 2.5 every 10 days from next weekend. I won’t go over the 30 days so I know it will be a waste but I don’t want to stop just yet if I can make it work whilst being able to eat.

Which needles did you use as i read the pen locks after the 4th dose . Thanks

Catladyof7 · 30/06/2025 01:31

Why does it matter if you go over the 30days ( using the golden dose ) as the pens have over a month expiry date on them ? Think mine has till August
Just curious

If you are eating that much protein, doesnt that mean a lot more calories ?

firstdayworries · 30/06/2025 06:06

WK1 Day5 here - Managed to go for a pre organised 3 course lunch yesterday, no-one even noticed I simply picked at my meals instead of scoffing the lot! It was so hot and I just wasn’t hungry. Nausea has ramped up a little in the evening, it settles if I sip some ice cold water thankfully.
Now, I haven’t been to toilet (number 2) Confused since starting the jabs, did anyone find the same? Should I get some senna to help things along? Feeling little bloated this morning because of that.

shifting12345 · 30/06/2025 06:37

W4 D1 here, can’t believe how fast it’s gone to be honest!

SW 191
CW 180.6
GW 150

Only a small loss this week due to period (and bottle of Prosecco on Saturday which I’m still hung over from.)

But my waist is below 30 inches as of this morning! Dug out some old clothes to try for holiday.
