Hi everyone, I should be taking my 4th dose this evening but I’m considering delaying as my suppression is so extensive that I’m managing about 500 calories a day on a good day. I’m rundown and exhausted. I’m just not sure what to do. I’ve lost well over a stone but can’t carry on like this.

I think you can leave a bit of a break. Are you breaking down the nutrition of the 500 calories? I often struggle to get about 900, but make sure that those are made up of full protein allowance (90g for me) and lots of veg. To help with energy.

Someone asked about exercise- weight/resistance training is recommended as you lose a lot of muscle when dieting so to prevent that. It’s also best for perimenopausal and menopausal women. I do a few dumbbells season a week via you tube at home. I also run, and that I do for mental health as much as anything.

I maybe need to pop into the gym before or after class and lift some weights.
Do you have any recommendations? As in, just arms n legs ok? Or other things too?

Thank you. You’ll get there - I have every faith in you. See it as half stone goals - it will feel more achievable when you’re having days when you’re feeling meh!
I am short and dumpy and I have struggled with my weight all my life - just need to eat healthier and be more active. Now that I’m a lot older I’m feeling it in my knees (osteoarthritis) and my back (osteoporosis) so really need to take serious steps for a better quality of life. Good luck everyone we CAN do this xx

Lots of MN rave about Caroline Girvan on YouTube. I’ve done some, I have a heart condition which means I can’t do some of her exercises (planks, dead bugs, push ups) but I do the rest.

Last 2.5 injection today and then onto 5mg next week. Only lost 0.6 kg this week, but 3kg down this month so far so I can't complain.

Thanks @FoxRedPuppy! I drink a protein shake throughout the day and try to eat as much of a protein yoghurt as I can manage. Some days I manage a small banana too.

good to see everyone getting on so well.
I know a lot are staying on 2.5 but I did lkove to 5 as suppression was wearing off day 5 will power is a good lesson to learn though.
my weight loss is slow at 1-2 lb per week I’m eating much smaller portions but struggling to exercise due to spinal injury but doing what I can.
just wanted to say well done to you all for the support you are offering each other ❤

That’s not good. You need a lot more food than that. You really need to speak to your supplier or doctor.

Agree. I’d also be looking at more real food protein sources, not just shakes and yoghurts. And veg.

I think some people have split a dose so 1.25mg twice a week.

Thanks. I’m having the shake to get calories and protein because if I relied on whole food I’d get even less.

I've just done my 2nd injection.
Sw 15.9 st
Cw 15.4 st
So apparently a 5lb loss.
I have eaten less but haven't noticed any difference though I have felt sp.
Though I am constipated.

Had overnight oats this morning and absolutely no desire to eat anything else as they were absolutely minging.

My next pen arrived today. I got 5mg even though 2.5mg is working as I thought I can still get 2.5 from a 5mg pen if needed and still have two more jabs of first pen to do.

1 to 2 pounds a week is a great loss! Honestly, losing it any quicker would not be healthy

Well done everyone!

I phoned SheMed and told them I was pregnant and would have to stop my treatment. The physician said “Oh I’m sorry to hear that” which made me laugh. I reminded me of my MIL being so disappointed I’d conceived my second child because I’d “just lost the baby weight from the first one”

I’m so pleased to see so many of you doing so well xx

Ive always hated overnight oats!

Some things you should eat are unfortunately what i cant eat as they to me are just vile.
I hate most cereals, yogurt , cottage cheese etc.
I love salads but already nearly put of lettuce and dont want to drive to a supermarket in this weather.
Luckily i dont eat much when its so hot really.
Also i hate fresh cream, jam, fruit cake , cream cakes .
My downfall has been other cakes ( i got into making Betty Crocker ones and they are big ). As i live on my own i used to have a slice every day and a milky coffee.
At night it was salted nuts and mini cheese biscuits or Chocolate and sweets.
Always had a couple of biscuits with my tea.
I only have 3 hot drinks a day .
Not sure if low calorie tonic water and fresh orange is ok if you are restricting some stuff. I guess if counted in should be ok,

I extracted 0.7ml from my 2.5mg pen (although only injected 0.6ml as the normal dose).

I have PUT ON a pound a half. I don’t understand it, I’ve had near total appetite suppression so have been averaging about 1000kcal, and that’s an effort. I can’t possibly have eaten over 5k extra calories this week.
